Work is stressful as usual, but, I have to put myself to work, the more work I do, the better chances are of me actually solving this case.
"Hey Valor, Yumi finally got the autopsy report done on the first body"
As I look up to Remi, I let out a sigh as I end up having to walk with her to the forensics lab.
"Hey, Valor, are you alright, you look very pale"
"Yeah, I'm fine, trust me"
As Yumi opened the door, both me and Remi walked in the room to see the place was a bit cluttered with paper.
"Good timing, it took some time, but I finally finished, I haven't been able to identify the victim, but I have made quite a bit of progress in other things, the victim died from a gunshot wound to heart, only problem was, I couldn't exactly find the entrance of the wound for awhile now, until now, it seems the killer tried to hide the gunshot wound by treating it, I will admit, the killer is skilled when it comes to treating wounds, as for the bullet I retrieved from the heart, there were no ballistic markings, not to mention, a blood rose marking was on the victim's chest, I haven't been able to trace where the bullet has come from unfortunately, other than that, the other thing was the time of death, midnight, ideally there would be little to no witnesses around that time, that's all I've been able to find for now, I'll try to find out the victim's identity though the best I can"
Once Yumi was finally done explaining the autopsy, I simply nodded and thanked her for the information before Remi soon grabbed me by the arm.
"Hold it right there, you've been working day and night on this case, not to mention your extremely pale at the moment, so, we're going to the strip club to get some drinks, it'll help with your stress, Yumi, you want to come with us?"
Yumi nods instead of trying to help me which only makes me feel more like I'm being brought to something against my will.
Even when I tried to leave, Remi tighten her grasp on me as Yumi helped her out, grabbing my other arm as I was dragged away to the strip club.
Even on our way out of the police station, the other workers ignored us, none of them coming to my rescue.
The time it takes for them to drag me to the strip club seems to drag more and more, but eventually, we soon got there as we sat at the bar.
I never exactly liked clubs, their too noisy, not to mention I haven't had a drink in God knows when.
"I'll take a beer, what will you two take?"
I simply didn't respond, but Yumi did that for me, "I'll take a wine, as for Valor, he'll take a cocktail"
The bartender seems extremely shy, I feel like I know her from somewhere.
It seems I did know her from somewhere when she spoke while handing us our drinks.
"Hey, Bartender, your name wouldn't happen to be Luna, would it?"
As she turned around to face me, she simply nodded and went back to work.
Well, might as well have a drink, it'll help take my mind off of all the noise, besides, Remi and Yumi already some of their drink, so, maybe one drink wouldn't hurt.
As I grabbed the glass, with slight hesitation, I picked it up, drinking all of the cocktail before placing the glass down.
I had a feeling though that having the drink would be a bad idea.
I was already drunk, meowing like a cat.
"Hey, Yumi, why is Valor meowing?"
Yumi didn't even need to answer, the secret I always try to keep hidden showed it self.
"W-Wait, Valor has cat ears?!"
I meowed once again like a cat, this is why I hate drinking, because one glass is all I need to become drunk since I have such a low alcohol tolerance.
It didn't take too long for me to fall asleep at the bar at all soon after.
I end up waking up to the sound of a loud crash.
As I raise my head and look around, Yumi and Remi seem to be gone, for a moment I thought they left me behind at the bar.
Well, with them not around, I could try to make it back to the police station.
I quickly try to get out of the seat, doing my best to get back to the police station, but a sudden pain caused me to collapse.
What was that sudden pain that I felt?
All I did was move a bit and then, it just happened.
As I'm stuck in a state of limbo, it seems to take forever until I regain consciousness, waking up on a couch.
So many questions ran through my mind.
What happened at the club, where am I, why am I here?
"Your awake, how are you feeling Valor?"
Remi, why am I hearing Remi's voice, I don't see her close by or around at all.
I'm a bit confused at first by the sound, but as I look over to the bedroom, I see Remi standing close by the door.
"Y-Yeah, What happened though at club?"
"It's best if you don't know, right now all you need more than anything is sleep"
"But that loud crash sound, I heard it, something had to happen, now tell me, what happened?!"
"Look, at yourself, your putting all this stress on yourself trying to solve one case, we've all be stumped on it, but you haven't seen any of us pushing ourselves to our death bed just to solve the case"
"I'm not pushing myself to my death bed, I'm fine, I'm used to maintaining lots of stress, now tell me, what happened at the strip club!"
"Fine then, it was Luna, she found another body, but the surprise scared her as she fell off of a ladder, we don't even know if we can talk to her right now due to it since she's recovering at home, the doctors took care of the wounds, but no, you are not interrogating her!"
