Chapter 6
"(F/N)! Clockwork!" Sally burst through the door. "What?! What happened?!" I screamed. Clockwork was busy having a heart attack right beside me. "Do you want to have a tea party with me and Splendy?" she asked sweetly.
I looked over to Clockwork. She shrugged her shoulders. "Sure, why not." I said. "Yay!" Sally cheered.
We followed her as she skipped down the hallway to her room. She slammed her door and burst through the door. "Splendy we got two more guests!" she said. "The more the merrier!" a tall man with a polka dotted suit said, raising his hands up in the air.
I went to sit down at the table. "Wait!" Sally yelled. I jumped back from the chair. "First we must have a makeover!" she said. She went over to her bed and pulled a tiny make-up case from under her bed.
"I don't see how that's going to work since I have a mask on." I said. "You'll just have to take it off." Sally replied. "Nononononono. No" I responded. "Why not?" she asked tilting her head to the side. "Because no one would want to see my face." I mumbled.
"Yes we do! Plus if you don't like your face, we can just cover it up with make-up!" Sally said happily. "No thank you." I replied. "Pleaseeeee. With a cherry on top?" she begged with puppy dog eyes. 'The eyes. So cute. NO! You must stay strong (F/N)! Just don't look at those adorable, cutesy, big eyes. Dang it!' I continued to have this argument inside my head. I sighed defeated.
"Fine, but no one except us knows about this, got it?" I said. They all nodded their heads. I breathed out a long breath. I grabbed my mask and slowly started to take it off. They all started to lean in their chairs in anticipation. My mask passed my mouth and got to the tip of my nose.
'You can do this (F/N).' I thought. I shakily raised my mask up to my the bottom of my eyes. They leaned farther in their chairs. My knees felt like they would give out any second. 'It's okay (F/N). Everything's fine.' I kept repeating in my head.
I raised the mask and yanked it off my head. "AHHH!" somebody yelled. My mask slipped out of my hand and I kept juggling the mask until I fully caught it. I clutched the mask to my chest and turned away quickly. 'I knew it, they think I'm ugly.' I thought.
"Sally, are you okay?!" Splendy yelled. I glanced over still covering my face with my hair. Sally was lying on her stomach, face first on the floor. Clockwork and Splendy were helping her up from her fall. Once they helped her up they all looked at me. I turned away shyly.
Sally hmphed and walked over to me. She took my hips and turned me around. I covered my face with my hands. Sally looked at Clockwork. Clockwork nodded and stood up. She walked over and took my hands.
She had to forcefully remove my hands from my face. My hair was still covering up my face. Clockwork and Sally motioned to Splendy. He smiled widely and walked over. He took my hair and brushed it behind my ear. They all gasped.
I looked away to avoid any eye contact. "Wow (F/N), you're really pretty!" Sally gasped. My eyes went wide. "Yes Sally, she is." Splendy agreed. "What do you think Clocky?" Sally asked. Clockwork was wide-eyed and blushing. She was trying to say words but was failing miserably.
"Clockwork!" Sally shouted. "Beautiful!" Clockwork yelled. I blushed furiously at what she said. "I knew you would agree!" Sally said cheerily. They all let go of me and backed up.
They looked me up and down. "I know exactly who we need!" Sally said. She rushed out of the room. A few minutes later she dragged another man into the room. "Sally! I said no one except us!" I said covering my face. "It's okay, he's amazing when it comes to being stylish!" she said.
I looked up to see a man in a tan sweater with a white undershirt. "This is her, Trendy." Sally said. He hummed in response and started to look me up and down.
He continued to circle around me. Awhile later he took a step back. "I know exactly what to do." he said. "Well, then go and do your thing, Trendy!" Sally said. Trendy nodded and took my hand. He took me to the bathroom. "No peeking while I do my work." Trendy ordered. "Okay." they all said.
Trendy pushed me into the bathroom. "Put this on." he said. I looked over at him. "Don't worry. I won't look." he said. He turned around.
'He's staying in the room?!' I mentally screamed. 'Well at least he's not looking.' I mentally sighed. I blushed and started to take off my socks and shoes. I hesitated to take off my dress.
I slowly took off my dress, but nonetheless took it off. I slipped the new dress on me. It was a strapless dress that was (F/C) with (S/F/C) sparkles over the bottom of the dress. After I was done putting on the dress I turned to Trendy. I saw a faint blush on his cheeks. I tapped him lightly on the shoulder.
"Oh! Um, are you re-" he was about to finish his sentence until he fully turned around to look at me. His blush spread a little further. "How do I look?" I asked. "St-Stunning." he whispered. I blushed at his accusation.
"Turn around for me." he said. I slowly turned around for him so he could see. "It fits perfectly. Now we have to find some heels to go with that dress." he said walking out of the bathroom. A couple minutes later he came back with a pair of two-inch heels.
"U-Um, I've never really worn heels before." I said. "That's fine, I'll help you walk if you need it." he said. "Thank you." I responded. "Welcome. Give me your foot." he said. "What?" I asked.
"Your foot. I need it." he said bending down on one knee and holding out a shoe. "O-Oh, o-okay." I stuttered holding out my foot. He gently took my foot and slipped the shoe on. He did the same thing with the other foot.
"Stand up." he said. I stood up carefully. I held onto the counter to keep form falling. "Now walk slowly over to me." he said standing at the other side of the room.
"All the way over there?!" I said. "Yes. Now slowly walk over to me." he said. "O-Okay." I said. I desperately held onto the counter and slowly made my way over to him.
Half way there I started to get more confident. I slowly retracted my hands from the counter and held my arms out to balance myself. I continued to walk over slowly to him. I was just a few inches away from him until I slipped over the rug. But before I could fall Trendy caught me in his arms.
"Are you okay?" he asked. "Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine." I said. He lifted me back up onto my feet. "All we have left to do is put on the make-up and curl your hair." he said. He sat me down in a chair in front of the mirror. He took out a make-up case from the drawers. In the middle of the application of the eye-shadow there was a loud pounding on the door.
"How long are you gonna take?!" Clockwork yelled from the other side of the door. "Let me finish my masterpiece you hooligans!" he yelled back. "Who even says that word anymore?!" she shouted. "The more you stand there shouting at me the longer it's going to take!" he shouted. "Fine! But you better hurry up." Clockwork said.
Trendy sighed and went back to applying the make-up. I giggled. "Why are laughing?" he asked. "Just that the argument you just had was funny." I replied. "How was that funny? Those people have no sense of class whatsoever!" Trendy said curling his hand into a fist. I laughed again.
He blushed and went back to what he was doing. About ten minutes later he finished the make-up and curling of my hair. "Finished." he said putting away all of the stuff. I stood up and walked over to the full-body mirror. I twisted and turned, looking at myself in the mirror.
"So how did I do?" he asked. "I don't even believe it's me." I whispered. "Is that a bad thing?" he asked. "No, it's actually a good thing." I said looking down to the floor. "You shouldn't think like that (F/N). You look beautiful with or without all the make-up." he said putting his hands on my shoulders.
"Y-You r-really think that?" I asked. "Yes, I do." he replied. I smiled and hugged him tightly. "Now let's go and show you off, my masterpiece!" he said taking a hold of my hand and walking to the door.
He opened the door. "Behold! My masterpiece!" he said putting me in front of him for everyone to see. Everyone's mouths dropped to the floor. I stood there stiffly fumbling with my hands. "Hello? Earth to everyone?" Trendy asked. Nothing. "Anybody there?" Trendy asked trying to knock them out of their trance. Silence.
"Looks like my work on you left them speechless." Trendy said holding his head up victoriously. "I left them speechless?" I asked. "Yes, you did." Trendy replied. I walked up to Clockwork and waved my hand in front of her face. She stayed in the same position. I flicked her forehead. She still didn't move.
"Clockwork!" I yelled in her face. "WH-WHAT?!" she shouted. "You okay now?" I asked. "Uh, um, uhhh, ummm." she said trying to make coherent words. I sighed and moved onto Sally and Splendy. I managed to get them out of their trance like state. "You all good now?" I asked. "Yes! Now we must start out tea party!" Sally cheered.
