I turn and see....

Smile, in dog form. I barrel towards him and he shifts, hugging me with such force I fall onto the ground. I blush heavily.

He smiles and hugs  me more, comforting me.

I yelp at a sudden sting in my arm and stare at the gaping dog bite on my shoulder, New blood trickling down.

Smile leans into my ear. "Shift." Is all he says.

I do so, and I am exactly like him, but with a lighter shade of red on my fur, a mix between pink and red.

I look gorgeous.

Jeff runs at us and we both instantly tense and pretend to growl at each other.

"Smile, stop! Just look for (y/n)!" Jeff has tears in his eyes.

I don't look at him and glare at Smile.

Guilt knaws away at me, but I gulp it down.

At least I'll be with them.

Smile and I lunge at each other, fighting. Jeff pulls us apart and throws me at a tree trunk. I want to cry out to him; "Jeff it's me. It's me!"

But I don't.

I whimper and lay down. Smile stands over me and growls. I whimper and turn my head away to show defeat. Smile tanks me up by my scruff and stands me up.

I follow them back to the mansion.

And so begins my new life, no one knowing who I am, only Smile, As my lover.
