Dinner with the family.
The worst part of the day.
I think that's the only thing me and Hannah agreed on.
How could you enjoy a meal in peace and quiet when you have to hyperactive twins always playing with they're food or kicking you under the table till you finally yell at them only to receive a mock innocent and hurt expression on they're part and a two hour yelling from your parents because you mistreated your elder siblings.
"Ugh! I get it! Those bozo's are innocent and I'm the devil so if you don't mind, the devil needs to go back to hell!" And with that I stood up from my place at the table, picked up my backpack on my way out and slammed the front door behind me.
As I walked out onto the porch I listened to it's wood creak underneath my foot with the slightest movement.
It felt like it would give out underneath me from my weight at any second.
Once I descended the first step I noticed a crack in the wood that revealed a sparkling object.
It looked like a golden key.
How did nobody ever notice this before?
Did somebody put it here on purpose?
Was I meant to have this.
I tried fitting my hand into the crack but I couldn't reach it. My hand was to big and wouldn't go completely through.
Just then Justin came out.
"Hey sis, I wanted to apologize for always getting on your nerves and all but me and Jeremy are just trying to have some fun and maybe you should to."
Okay, my elder brothers could be annoying at times but in the end they always stood up for me at school.
Well Jeremy did.
Justin wasn't exactly populations either, it was Jeremy that broke every girls heart and hung out with the cool kids.
In short, Jeremy was your typical bad boy.
But he always protected his younger siblings (only to bully us himself).
Speaking of the devil, here he comes.
"What are you doing?" He demanded seeing me reach my hand into the crack again.
I sighed, ignoring Justin's curious look and Jeremy's disgusted one.
"Nothing" I stood up and finished going down the porch steps while looking up at the creepy clubhouse in the tree.
I noticed something at the window so I squinted my eyes to fissures trying to see it better.
But whatever had been there was now gone.
I shook my head and pushed open the gate, I must be having hallucinations.
