The First Encounter

You were a newly hired Geneticist for INGEN, hired by John Hammond himself almost right out of college, you worked under Dr Henry Wu in the genetics lab, where the team worked to create and incubate new baby Dinosaurs, you had been helping to sequence the genes and fill in the gaps in the DNA chain with the DNA of a Frog, as you did this Dr. Wu and John Hammond came  over as you watched the DNA through a microscope, to make sure the genes spliced together properly.

"Ah, (Y/N) how are the genes splicing? Are they bonding well?" Dr. Wu asked as he walked over to you with a smile on his face, you smiled as you stood back up straight.

"Yes Dr. Wu, the gene sequence is being repaired as we speak, the data from the VR works wonders for finding the gaps in the DNA" you said with a smile of your own, it was very exciting for you to be here making history and reviving a species that had been extinct for millions of years, and your passion for genetics helped too.

"Ah, excellent, excellent work, my dear!" Mr Hammond said with a jolly smile on his face, it made you smile too, he was quite a friendly man, it reminded you of when you met him after your graduation from your Biology course, he had walked to you with a big smile on his face and offered you a high paying job, you were so stunned you almost passed out.

"Th-Thank you Mr. Hammond, I try my best!" you said with an awkward smile, you were not used to taking compliments from people, but you were getting used to it with Hammond around, not that that was a bad thing, as you, Dr. Wu and Hammond talked one of the eggs in the incubator started to shake as a baby dinosaur was about to be born.

"Looks like the main event is about to occur!" Dr. Wu said as he, Hammond and you went to the incubator, a smile coming over your face as you saw the egg start to shake harder as the new life inside was trying to escape into the world.

"Ah, excellent! I always insist on being here when they are born!" Hammond said, as he went to the incubator followed by you, you gasped and watched as the egg started to crack as the tiny life inside pushed against the shell, a big smile on your face as you watched the egg hatch.

Suddenly one of the researchers bumped the incubator and shook the table violently, Dr. Wu and Hammond yelled as the hatching egg tipped and fell from the table, you jumped and grabbed the egg before it hit the floor before your feet slid out from under you and your head hit the floor, you winced after the sudden impact with the back of your head, but it wasn't anything too serious.

"Thank goodness, good catch (Y/N)!" John said as he sighed in relief, you were then aware of a loud crack as the shell you were holding onto broke, you looked down just in time for a little head to come out of the broken shell and a small, reptilian eye gazed up at you before a squeal came from the baby dinosaur that was looking at you.

"It seems she's imprinted on you, Dr. (L/N), congratulations" Dr. Wu said as you were helped up onto your feet, cradling the baby Raptor in your arm while it was still in the remains of the egg.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry Mr. Hammond I was just trying to-" you said, however he held a hand up and smiled at you, reassuring you that he wasn't angry.

"It's fine dear, you saved her life, so it's only right that you be the first thing she see's" Hammond said with a smile on his face, the baby Raptor squealed again and you looked down, carefully picking apart the egg shell until her tiny body was resting in your hands, looking up at you with curiosity, her tiny limbs moving through the air as she squealed.

"Welcome to the world baby..." you said with a big smile on your face, cradling the newborn to your chest as she snuggled into your warmth.

The Second encounter/Taking Them Home

It had been almost a year since the day you had been there to meet the baby Raptor in the lab, since then new security measures had been put in place, such as a robotic arm to hold the eggs in place as they hatch, so that they don't fall off the incubator again, as well as some 'egg cups' to help make doubly sure the eggs would remain secure.

You were currently sitting in your quarters in the facility, wearing comfy, casual clothes as you read over one of your text books on advanced gene therapy and cellular reproduction, to assist in your work with the cloning, however, there wasn't the usual smile on your face as there used to be.

After the Raptor had hatched and imprinted on you Hammond had given you permission to look in on the Raptor hatchling as she grew up, and you had indeed been VERY, involved with her upbringing for the past nine months, and she had grown quite big, bigger than her sisters even, but then  Muldoon insisted she was too dangerous for have you around her anymore, and it made you very sad that they had decided to separate you both, you hadn't seen her for almost a month now.

"Excuse me, (Y/N)?" came a voice, you looked up from your book and saw John Hammond standing in your doorway, leaning on his cane with the Amber on it, a smile on his face you gave him a forced smile as you closed your book.

"Hello John, what brings you here?" you asked tiredly, shifting position in your seat.

"They are introducing her to the rest of the pack, I thought you might want to be there to see her progress?" Hammond said, hinting at your Velociraptor taking her first steps with her own kind, your smile became more genuine at the thought of seeing her after so long.

"Yes please!" you said as you stood up quickly and followed him to the Raptor Enclosure, holding onto his arm as you both walked, after a while you finally arrived at the pen where the Raptors were kept, the workers were hurrying as Muldoon and his security force watched over the introduction of your Raptor into the pack, you watched from the ground as a forklift brought a large metal container towards the pen.

You watched nervously as her container had been lowered to the railings for the pen, you could hear her inside growling and screeching in anger at her confinement, you felt bad at how heavy handed everything seemed to transport her, as well as the men with the guns and tazers around.

"M-Maybe she'll calm down if I go over and reassure her?" you said, hoping John would agree to it.

"I would advise against that, she's lethal, she'll probably take your arm off if you get too close" Muldoon said as he stepped beside you and Hammond, watching as the container was placed against the doorway to the pen and a man climbed atop the container, he then went to slide the metal door open when your Raptor let out a loud screech and smashed herself against the half opened door, the container slid back from the force of the impact and she rushed out of the container, screeching in victory at her escape.

"She's loose, get the tazers! Hurry!" Muldoon yelled, she roared as she looked at all the men scrambling to either recapture her or get away from her, that is until her eyes locked with yours, you froze as you felt her eyes wander over your face then a look of recognition fell over her, she slowly approached you making odd barking sounds as the men approached with their tazers and guns.

"No, stop! J-Just hold on a minute..." you called out as she approached you, you'd be lying if you said you weren't scared right now but you swallowed your fear down and maintained eye contact with her, you walked towards her until you both met in the middle her snout right in front of your face as she sniffed you, making odd sounds as she studied you closely.

You stayed as still as possible as she sniffed you, then you felt her rub her snout against your hair as her clawed limbs rested on your shoulders, you carefully raised your hand up and settled it on her neck as you'd done many times before, making the Raptor utter a kind of purring sound from her jaws.

"I don't bloody believe it..." Muldoon said as you and your Raptor bonded with each other after being apart for so long, you laughed as she licked your cheek and you scratched her neck.

"Some bonds are much stronger than others Muldoon, it's an amazing thing to witness" Hammond said as you carefully moved and lead her back towards the pen, so she could get acclimated to her new home, and perhaps meet her new siblings.

Getting Them Used to their New Home/Getting Used to Them Living With You

After the show you made of calming down the Raptor, Hammond made the executive decision to appoint you as the one who would interact with her, you would continue your current job in the labs, but if a situation with the Raptor, specifically the female that was imprinted on you, you would be called in to calm her down, in other words you were pretty much made her carer in everything but name, but this made you very happy since you'd get to spend time with her as much as possible now.

Her time with the other Raptors admittedly didn't start off to well, the morning after she had been introduced to the other seven Raptors, the security detail on the pen had found the horrific sight of all but two of the other Raptor's dead and partially eaten, it seemed that she had killed the others and taken control of the pack, now only three Raptors were left, and the Alpha of the pack had a soft spot for you.

When They Want to Sleep With You

At the Raptor pen Robert Muldoon and his men were scrambling around the pen and the surrounding area, the pen stood empty with a large hole in the fence and three pairs of footprints going towards the jungle, the Raptors had somehow managed to break out of their containment and escaped into the wild!

"This is very bad, contact John and scour the perimeter, we've got to find these Raptors before they get anywhere they shouldn't" Muldoon said, then began a very long night of hunting down the Raptors, the mission was a partial success with two of the Raptor's being captured thanks to night vision goggles and tranq darts, however they didn't know what had happened to the alpha...

You were laying in your bed asleep, wearing a comfy pair of shorts and a shirt the covers had slipped off as you moved in your sleep, you were breathing softly as you dreamed of something nice, you had a long day and decided to take a nap in your bed, suddenly the handle on your door slowly moved downward until a light click came from the door, it opened slightly until a scaly snout rested against the door.

A quiet sound, a mix between a purr and a growl came from the other side of the door, the door was carefully nudged open but the door swung back again, but then it was pushed with a little more force making the door open wide, in the space where the door was stood your Velociraptor she stood tall and made quiet sounds as she sniffed the air, catching your scent which permeated the room.

She looked around the room curiously, wondering what all the things in the room were, but she then snaps her head towards your bed when she saw movement, you had moved in your sleep again and now laid on your side with the covers off of your upper body, the Raptor made a light growl as she walked closer, her claws clicking on the ground until she was right beside the bed, the lowered her snout towards you her breaths hitting your back, making your squirm slightly in your sleep.

The Raptor made a sound and then climbed onto the bed, tucking her legs and arms in as she laid her body down beside yours, her warm, scaly body leaning against your back as her head rested close to yours you unconsciously snuggled back against her warmth, she purred as she felt the warmth of your mammalian body against her scales.

The next morning Hammond was going to find you and tell you the bad news, that your Raptor seemed to have vanished into the wild, he came to the hallway where the scientists made their living quarters and made his way toward your door, only to pause when he saw the door was slightly open, he walked toward it and peeked inside.

"My word!" Hommond gasped as his eyes widened in shock, inside your room you and the Raptor were cuddled up in bed together, you had rolled over in your sleep and wrapped your arms around her neck and snout, a smile on your face as you slept, Hammond slowly backed away and rushed to go find Muldoon, before the Raptor or you woke up.

When They are Hungry/ What You Feed Them

You came down to the Raptor Pen to feed your girl and her siblings, you were standing beside Muldoon on the ground as you heard the Raptors inside screaming for their food, you wondered  which one was yours, after the whole incident where she had broken out of her pen to find you, and managed to end up sneaking into your bed with you you got more involved with her care and maintenance, mostly to avoid her getting hurt if she did get out again.

"Alright, raise it up!" you called out as the crane that was above the pen lifted a cow up into the air, you watched from below as the cow was raised up above the pen, the pen had been refitted with more electrical fencing and a make shift roof of thick steel bars and electrified wire, you felt bad that your Raptor has been confined like this, Muldoon has even made his views on them very clear, saying that they should all be destroyed, which would make you quite upset when you heard that.

You followed the cran upwards until you stood on the viewing platform above the pen, the Raptors went quiet as the cow hovered over their pen, the roof of the pen opened and the cow was being slowly lowered down into the pen, the cow mooed as it's body vanished into the thick vegetation inside the pen, you then saw movement and heard the Raptors breaths, suddenly a loud screech came before the busted violently thrashed and rustled.

You watched in disbelief at just how savage the Raptors behaved in their attack, the sound of flesh being torn and the Raptors screeching and roaring, as well as the plants being violently thrashed around as they attacked the Cow, after a minute the attack was over and the Raptors were now feasting on the Cow, the sound of tearing flesh coming from the pen as they ate.

"Quite a frightful sight, isn't it?" Muldoon said as he walked over and stood close beside you, looking down at the Raptors with narrowed eyes.

"Any kind of attack by large, predatory creatures can be frightful, Mr. Muldoon, you'd probably say the same thing about Lions, Tigers and Bears if it happened right in front of you" you replied dryly, knowing that he was trying to get you to turn against your Raptor and her siblings, but it wouldn't work, you'd seen that she recognises you and if she were as smart as they claimed then you know you'd have nothing to fear from her.
