The First Encounter

You were driving back to your home in (C/N) after you went to visit family, it had been a fun week spent with them, but now you were driving home at night, as you were driving your eyes took in the scenery around you, the trees and woods passing you by as you drove home, until a large shape suddenly appeared in the road making you swerve the car in a panic to avoid hitting the thing, your car spun on the road, the tyres screeching against the tarmac.

"AAAAAHHHH!" you screamed in terror, your hands clutching the steering wheel so tight your knuckles went white, hoping against hope that the car wouldn't flip over, the car then came to a halt, jostling you in your seat until it came to a stop.

"What the hell was that, a Dog?" you asked yourself as you sat in the driver seat, your heart hammered in your ribs, and you took a couple breaths to try and calm yourself down from nearly hitting whatever it was you encountered.

Suddenly there was a strange sound from the edge of the woods, you looked out of your window and saw a dark shape by the side of the road, you couldn't make it out too well since it was dark, you could make out what looked like fur, and it was pretty big.

"What the hell is that?" you asked yourself, trying to see it better, you took out your bag and went to get your phone so you could use the built in flashlight to see it better, you found your phone, turned on the screen and swiped down, you saw the flashlight icon on the menu and tapped the screen, light quickly flooded the car and you pointed the light through your window, hoping to see what the creature could be, only to see that it was gone.

"Wh-Where did it go?" you asked yourself as you aimed the light around the area you had seen it in, you didn't see any sign of the animal at all, however you did notice something reflecting the light on the road, you were very tempted to roll down your window and look further, but something was screaming at you to start your car and drive.

Suddenly a large shape loomed up at your window, you jumped back screaming and dropping your phone, it landed on the floor with the light shining upwards, illuminating the creature at your window.

It was about the size of a man with some fur on it's back, but the rest of it's body was bare, like a hairless cat or human skin, the skin was a dark grey colour, the top of it's head looked somewhat like a skull with a few quill-like hairs growing from it, it's teeth were long and sharp the ones on the top jaw were poking out of the front of it's snout instead of pointing downwards, while the teeth on the bottom jaw were sharp and pointed upward, it's dark, almost black eyes gazed at you through the window as you froze in terror.

You didn't dare move, the creature's face was inches away from the glass that separated you, it's breath fogging the glass as it gazed at you, you saw that blood was dripping from it's fangs, so it was definitely a meat eater, which meant you really didn't want to make it mad, the creature's eyes studied you intently, it's large claws resting against your car door.

You sat still for what felt like an eternity, your eyes and that of the creature locked as you studied one another, the creature made odd growling sounds as it studied you through your car window, it didn't make any threatening moves or try to break into the car, it just looked at you, then just as suddenly the creature moved away and rushed back in to the forest, leaving you in your car wondering just what the heck was that thing?

The Second Encounter/Taking Them Home

It has been a while since your encounter with the strange creature in the forest, you were in your home sat in your front room in a pair of comfy pyjamas with your laptop resting on your lap, you had been trying to find out what the creature you saw on the road that night was, but so far you hadn't found a single entry about the creature you described in the Google search engine.

"Just what are you?" you asked yourself as you shut your laptop and leaned back against your sofa, covering your face with your hands and rubbing your face in frustration, it was very annoying not to know what you had encountered and it was gnawing away at you ever since your encounter, you got up from your chair and went to the kitchen to get yourself a sandwich and something cold to drink.

You made yourself your favourite kind of sandwich, and a glass with your favourite drink, you were about to go back into your front room, when you felt as if you were being watched, you looked around to see what it could be, thinking that perhaps it was a neighbour's pet or something, your eyes widened when you saw a large, dark shape in front of the window looking in at you.

"Definitely not a dog..." you said as you set down your sandwich and your drink, moving to your phone to call someone to help, you searched your pockets only to remember that your phone was on the table by the chair.

"Shit..." you mumbled nervously, you then slowly backed out of the kitchen keeping your eyes on the shadow by your window, you backed into the room when your phone suddenly pinged from a text, you turned your head to your phone then back to the window, only to see the shadow was gone!

You held your breath as you listened for any sounds, wondering where the creature could have gone, you stayed frozen like this for a few minutes, then you relaxed and released the breath you were holding, thinking that the creature must have left, all of that ended when a loud smash came from the kitchen, a heavy form landed on your kitchen floor letting out a growl as it shook the broken glass from it's body, your screamed and fell onto your butt as you saw the creature come out of the kitchen and into the light.

It was the creature you met on the road! Or, another one of it's kind perhaps? The creature growled as it slowly approached you, you scrambled back breathing quickly, thinking that it was going to attack you, the creature moved faster and stopped right in front of you, you stopped moving and curled up into a ball, crying in fear.

You felt something nudge your side, then it nudged you again as a low whine came from the creature? You looked up and saw the Creature staring at you with sad eyes before it moved closer and nuzzled it's head against your body, your were still nervous about this creature with such long, sharp teeth being close to you, but something told you that it wasn't going to hurt you, you cautiously reached out your hand and rested it on top of the creature's head, the creature paused it's nuzzling and leaned into your hand, purring as it laid it's body next yours.

"Well, th-this is... nice?" you mumbled calmly, doing your best not to aggravate the creature, you petted the creature on the head for a while, until it's breathing slowed and it held you in a secure embrace, sighing at the situation you were in, you just made yourself comfortable, letting the Animal basically use you as a living cuddly toy.

Getting Them Used to Their New Home/Getting Used to Them Living With You

It was... difficult to make sure that the Animal was happy with their new home, since you had no idea what it was, where it came from, or how you were supposed to look after it, but you did your best to help him feel comfortable in your house, he was a meat eater so you had to either let him out to hunt his own food, or buy meat from the supermarket to feed it with, but the creature was actually very good company.

The creature had a little difficulty getting used to living indoors, compared to living in the open woods, there were a few issues, like how it sometimes felt confining being indoors, and getting scolded if he went to the bathroom inside, but the house was warm, and it liked the attention you would give to it, and how you would feed it different kinds of meat, it was a comfortable life for the Animal, but it was happy, although, it did wonder how long until it's pack came looking for it?

When They Want to Sleep With You

The sun was setting, painting the sky different shades of orange and red as it slowly sank over the horizon, you had spent most of the day fixing up the house and looking after (A/N), and now you were more than ready for bed, you changed into your favourite pyjamas and brushed your teeth in your bathroom.

As you were getting yourself ready for bed, the Animal crept into your room, following your scent to your bed, the creature slowly crawled up onto the bed and started to rub it's body against your covers, purring and growling softly as it rolled and rubbed against your bed sheets, stretching it's body and limbs before it rested on the bed.

You spat the foam from your brushing into the sink and washed it away with water from the tap, you dropped the toothbrush into a little holder and walked back into your bedroom, only to freeze when you saw (A/N)sprawled out on your bed, it's snout snuffling your covers and pillows as he rolled around on top of the covers.

"(A/N)... what are you doing you lunatic?" you asked with a chuckle, it was nice to see it acting so cute and friendly, the Animal raised it's head and looked at you happily, growling and rolling on the covers of your bed still, rubbing it's scent onto the covers as it purred and growled softly.

You shook your head and climbed into the bed, you slipped your legs under the covers followed by your lower half as you got comfortable, you yawned as you laid your head back against your pillow, then you felt a large, heavy weight on your chest and side, you looked to see (A/N) laying it's head on your chest and curling into your body, you petted him on the head as he fell asleep, with you following him soon after.

When They Are Hungry/What You Feed Them

You were sat outside of your house, stretching your legs and arms as you got ready to go for a morning run, it was part of your exercise as well as a good excuse to look at the scenery, you jogged in place for a few minutes before you set off on your morning jog at a good pace, you kept your breaths even as you jogged along the road that ran past your house, heading towards the nearby forest.

You reached the forest and jogged along one of the forest paths, listening to your favourite songs from your playlist as you ran, after about an hour sweat started to gather on your forehead and other parts of your body, your breathing was slightly laboured, your lungs burned as you kept on running and the muscles in your legs ached, you stopped to catch your breath and drink some water from your flask.

As you tried to regulate your breathing you heard the sound of a bush rustling, you looked toward the treeline and felt eyes on you, you held your breath and waited to see what it was that was watching you, then a large, familiar shape emerged from the bush, it was just (A/N).

"Oh, hey there, where did you come from pal?" you asked as you petted the Animal on the head, the creature made soft sound, a mix between a growl and a purr, however you then noticed the dead Rabbit that it had in it's jaws, blood was dripping from between the Animal's teeth as it held it's kill in it's sharp teeth.

"Ah... I see you caught yourself some lunch, g-good boy" you said as you carefully knelt down and petted (A/N) on his head, trying to avoid the sharp teeth jutting from it's upper jaw, the Animal purred as it leaned against your hand, then it threw it's head back and swallowed the dead Rabbit whole.

The thing with (A/N) was, it had a ravenous appetite, he ate a lot of meat in a day, he even ate a whole cooked chicken you'd made for dinner, just took it right off the counter and ate it! Since then you'd been alternating between buying meat from the shop to feed it, and sometimes (A/N) will leave through the back yard and hunt for it's own food in the forest.
