Yes. You don't believe it? But that's absolute truth. It has so much emotion and so so touching. Judges were able to feel it.

Her winning entry is:

Friendzoned me

A content sigh left from her pink lips as she sipped her coffee. Her emerald hues gazed at her 5 girl friends. Placing the cup down, Abbie fake coughed which effectively gaining attention of her friends.
"

So..." she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "Who are you girls going  to give valentine chocolates to?" The five looked at each other, either blushing or keeping blank faces.
"I am not gonna bother and Derrick is too lazy to make move". Claudia stated blatantly, stirring her drink. The other girls nodded their heads before April spoke up. "Well Ken and me are going-"

"Yeah, yeah we all know that you guys are going on a date as it is you 3 years anniversary." Jennifer aka Jenna said in annoyance.

"Whatever, then who are you going to confess Jen?" April retorted while sipping coffee. Whereas the asked girl started to fiddle with her blonde tresses. With dreamy smile on her face she answered.

"Andrew of course! Just imagine how  romantic it will be when he will propose-" she was cut off by none other than Abigail. Both of the girls are like sisters other times but when it comes to Andrew they are enemies.
Andrew the most popular and handsome guy in college.
"Shut up, Andrew is mine" Abigail said smugly.

"How can you even say that?? He is mine!"

"Will you both just shut up!" The arguing duo froze, slowly turning head to their friend, Brenda who looked annoyed. And Brenda+ annoyance is never a good combination.

Brenda and Andrew has been friends since years. With time Brenda started to fall in love with him. But destiny not always in our side. When she turned 18 she got know from her parents that they have fixed her marriage with their best friend's son Daniel when both of them were child.
That was the same year she planned to tell her feelings to Andrew. But there was no use of telling him now when her fate was already decided by her parents. When she will complete her education she will get married to Daniel whom she haven't meet yet. In friends only Andrew knew about her marriage.

"I should get going, lunch break is almost over. Will meet you all in class" Brenda said and left canteen.

The  rest of the day in high school went as usual. As exams were in week most of the students after school spend their time in library Brenda and Andrew were also in those students.
After some time they left school together in Andrew's car. The car ride went in comfortable silence.

"We are here" Andrew said and got out of the car. Brenda got outside of the car, she couldn't help but feel disappointed.

"I should get going it is late" With this she turned and walked to her front door. The red haired girl turned around abruptly to face black haired male.

"Thank you" she said while Andrew looked at her with confusion.

"For what?" He asked and came closer, standing in front of her.

"For everything. You always helped me whenever I was in trouble. For always being there for me. So thanks for everything. I know that is what best friends do but still," she said with a small smile on her face which didn't reached her hazel colored eyes.

"No need to thank me," he said back.
The thin silence enveloped them which was not comfortable, fed up with tension in air Brenda decided to break silence. "I should probably get going" Just as she was about to turn around Andrew called out to her.

"Wait, hold your hand," Brenda turned around, confusion visible in her hazel colored orbs, however Andrew spoke up again before she could answer. "Just hold your hand out please."
Brenda hesitantly held her hand out to her best friend. He put something on her palm. It was neatly wrapped in a red square shaped box.

Before girl could fully register what she was handed, Andrew pulled her into tight embrace. The color rushed to her cheeks turning them into crimson.

"Wh-what ar-are yo-you  doi-doing?" Brenda struggled to get out from his hold to calm her already racing heart but it was of no use.

"I am leaving tomorrow to New york as my father want to start our company there. Please let me stay like this for a while." He said resting his chin on the top of her head. Not knowing what to say she just nodded slightly as she relaxed into his warm embrace feeling safe.

"Happy Valentine's day." He spoke, just barely above whisper like he didn't wanted her to hear, but she did.
They stayed like that for few minutes unaffected by their surroundings. Andrew was the first one to break hug, he lifted his head from her shoulder. "Bye, will call you after I reach there." Brenda looked up only to be met with a soft lips on her forehead. She watched as Andrew left to his house.

Brenda opened box and she saw a photo of Andrew and her from their childhood. Taking photo out from box she clutched it tightly to herself and she bolted inside her mansion, ignoring the confused yelps of her family. She went inside her room slamming the doo behind her. She slid down her back against door and brought knees up to her chest. Unknowingly she started crying.

'Why did he had to do that?'

'I am falling harder for him day by day even though it is wrong'

'Only if things were different' With this  thought she went to bed crying herself to sleep.
