Valentine Heartbreak

"So you're leaving!" I managed to breathe out. My throat was burning from trying to keep myself from crying.She nodded, her eyes glistened with tears."What did I ever do to you, Leigh" I moved closer but she backed away, piercing my heart even more."We can't be together anymore" her voice quivered."Please Leigh, don't do this, I'm sorry If I ever hurt you, I didn't mean to"
"No Kevin!" she cut me off. "It's not your fault, you never did anything" she added.
"Then why are you letting me go?". A wave of silence took over. I gazed at her loving brown eyes. I couldn't lose Leigh, I don't think I could live without her. Why was she doing this. Crazy reasons were hovering through my head.
"I don't love you anymore" It was like I had been struck by lightning. I froze the words replaying over in my head. I couldn't think straight. After 3 years of being in a relationship with Leigh, she breaks my heart today and more so on the day of love,Valentine's day! I thought she made me meet her here to celebrate our love together.
"I...I... found s-someone else" she stuttered. My pain was replaced with anger, at the thought of who it might be.
"It's Henry, isn't it?" she nodded a splash of guilt on her face.
The more I looked at her, the more I hated the fact that she was no longer mine, but Henry's, who is no longer my bud. I knew he also liked Leigh, he broke of our friendship after he found out that Leigh was with me. I always thought Leigh loved me, guess I was wrong.
I'm sorry it had to end like this Kevin" she said softly, moving closer and cupping my cheek in her hands. I removed her hands from my cheek. I couldn't bare to see her any longer.
I let out a sigh "Just go Leigh!". She looked at me sadly, mumbled a bye and left, forever. I stood there under the night sky, staring at the stars. I'm going to miss her. I placed my hand on my chest as if to catch the pieces of my breaking heart.'Leigh'... I whispered into the air, before turning to leave the spot where we first met.
