Anxiety
Anxiety
I see my reflection in the pool
Translucent veins protruding
On my pasty skin
Tinted by the satin red.
My hands are unrecognizable
As they get swallowed up by the sea
It takes my legs with it, my thighs, my torso
And soon, I am covered.
I am drowning.
I am sure of it, my breath
Being choked by the ocean, it grabs at
My windpipe and squeezes.
The sea fills up my throat
But flows out of my chest
Joining the ocean below,
Beckoning me to surrender
