That day of my life was surprising and certainly unexpected.

The sun now sat like a halo around his head, cascading light over is shoulders, where lay dark auburn hair, down to the waterlogged boots on his feet. The look of pure glee on his face rivalled that very sun and contrasted against his roughed up clothes, a reminder of the earlier events. Mine were no different.

Just to think, only a few hours prior we were in this same field, with the same trees looking over us and the same babbling brook in front of us, arguing over a ridiculous thing that is now long forgotten. Masked by the pure joy of just being alive.
