This leads to her developing an unhealthy habit of running away from her problem and never solving it.

When her mother sees how at ease Ellie was upon entering her very, first beauty pageant as a child and even begs for more, the woman could already sees the path of career her oldest daughter will take. And allows her to take it.

A few years went by, her career grew stronger and so is her name.

But Ellie was so dedicated with her career that the aspect of romance and dating is alien to her. Sure, she finds a few people attractive here and there; but she never thought of having a romantic relationship with anyone anytime soon.

That is, until the Selection was announced and Ellie sets out to joins it herself - thanks to her mother's puppy eyes, her manager's order because the event could boost her fame, and her own curiosity over it.
