Hey everyone and welcome to chapter one! (That rhymed!) Now before we start this I would like to say a few words to a few people.

Chaoscat211 and enby-el I know that there is no angst yet but don't worry it will soon be here! I'm just not gonna put it in the first chapter. (I'm not that evil!)

the_quiet_jade I have altered your idea a bit. Morro and Lloyd are teenagers instead of kids but everything else is the same.

Same goes to thelightningninjasis Instead of five kingdoms I did four kingdoms.

(Also I may or may not breaking my own rules in this chapter)

The Prince of the flame lands was turning sixteen and had decided to invite everyone and I mean everyone. Your next door neighbour was invited, the old lady that lived in a shoe was invited, Even the chicken that belonged to an old man named Wu was invited-

"Jay, will you please get dressed!? I know that you don't like them, I don't like them either but you need to look like a decent person!" Libby scolded her son for what was the millionth time and left the room to continue with her duties.

"Besides Nya is going to be there. So you better look good!" Cole smirked (He had a strange habit of shipping Jay with Nya) The two of them had been best friends since first grade and were the only people from different kingdoms that liked each other. There parents weren't friends with each other though but they still respected their friendship.

But unfortunately Jay didn't want to go not because he hated them but because he would have to face Nya and he really didn't want to see her.

Jay crossed his arms "For the last time, I don't like her! Even though she looks absolutely gorgeous and makes me get butterflies every time she smiles and makes my heart do funny things, I still don't like her!"

Cole blinked "Do you have any idea of how stupid you sound?"

"I'm not stupid! I was just saying that she's extremely hideous. Like, if I had to rate her looks on a scale of one to ten, Ten is beauty and one is ugliness, I'd give her an eleven." He stated with full seriousness. "Actually I'd give her a twelve."

"....point eight."

Yes, that is exactly what hate looks like. Jay shoots me a look a quick look that says "Shut up!"

Cole raised an eyebrow "And this is hate?"

"Of course it is!"

Cole blinked, looked at him for a while... And left.

Can't blame him, I'd do that too.

A few miles away, princess Nya was getting ready for her brother's sixteenth birthday.

.... By wearing a red shirt that said, "Yay. I'm at the birthday of a porcupine."

Now a normal princess would wear a proper gown but Nya was not like other princesses. She was like other girls though, but not like other princesses.

Because she was the only princess in the land.

"Hellllo hideous sisterrrrr-AAAAAAH!" Kai sang as he crashed onto her bed, slipped off, landed on the floor, tried to get back up again, failed and ripped the sheets in the process.

"Smooth." Nya commented and threw a shoe at him for destroying her sheets.

"What are you getting me for my birthday?" Kai casually asked with a hint of excitement in his voice to his sister as though the previous events hadn't happened.

"We are not little anymore Kai."

"Come on! All the kingdoms are gonna be there! Your present is just gonna get lost so you might as well tell me."

"Nope."

Kai sighed "can you Atleast tell me if you've seen my hair gel? I have been looking for it all morning!"

Nya said "no" and went outside to see if anyone had arrived yet (and to be away from her brother) but not before throwing her brother off her bed and putting her pillows back into place, some had dissapeared but she didn't really care.

But Kai followed her like a duckling would follow its mother.

The poor girl who was bestowed with the curse of having a btother sat down on the staircases while her brother went to great lengths to annoy her. Just when when she was about to burst she saw emo snape and his blond friend who were both sporting bright red shirts that said, "Yay. I'm at the birthday party of a porcupine." coming inside. Relief flooded through her. Finally she has someone decent to talk to!

"What does he find so good in that?! He's just staring at smoke!" Lloyd yelled, throwing his arms in the air. His uncle, Wu, had decided to give him and his cousin, Morro, a "meditation session" before they went to the party cause according to their uncle, it was a way to "release all the negetive emotions trapped inside them." which meant twenty minutes of staring at swirly white smoke. (Their uncle hated black smoke since he found it hideous. What a racist.)

"Just be glad that he's not breathing it." Morro shivered "I've seen some bad stuff happen to people who breath it."

"And how do you know?" Lloyd asked while kicking a random can on the path which nearly hit their talking chicken.

Nya gave the two a hug (THIS IS PLATONIC)"Lloyd! Morro! Oh my first spinjitsu master! Thank goodness you're here! I didn't think I could spend another minute with him..."

"You should be grateful! Every girl is willing to spend time with me." Kai boasted and Lloyd and Morro's talking chicken ran away from the human porcupine to hide behind it's owners.

"Then why did the girl that works as a newspaper delivery guy scream and run away when she saw you?" Morro asked as he raised his eyebrow.

"Antonia has no good taste." Kai said before frowning "why are you, Lloyd and Nya wearing the same shirts?"

"Cause were best friends forever!" Lloyd happily stated as he put his arms around Nya and Morro.

"We're not immortal idiot."

"But our friendship sure is!"

~*~*~*~LATER THAT EVENING~*~*~*~

"Hello.... hello.... hello.... he-" Nya stopped as she saw a familiar blue person walk towards her. He was also sporting a red shirt that said, "Yay. I'm at the birthday party of a porcupine." And it her suprised to be honest. She thought that he wouldn't wear it and she would have to shove it over his head.

"Well? Are you going to greet me or do I have to stand here all night?" Jay asked.

Normally Nya wouldn't have even looked at him but her mother wanted her to greet every. Single. Person. And was watching her like a hawk.

"Hell-no." She finally said in an extremely polite tone and stomped on Jay's foot (and she probably did some damage because flinched and he never flinches around her)

Jay walked away and excitedly hugged Cole as soon as he saw him.

"Come on just tell me what you got me already!!" Kai whispered to her after she was done greeting.

"Fine. You see all these people wearing the same shirts?" She asked and Kai nodded. "That's my birthday present."

"You made people wear the same shirts for my birthday?" He asked.

"I couldn't think of what to give you so I went with this."

The party was alright in Nya's opinion. Kai was happy, her mom was happy, Everyone was happy!

But Cole kept trying to set her up with Jay (which led to the two having a mini fight but it didn't last long since Nya could only affectivly attack his feet since she was very short and Jay just kept dodging)

Then some random person wanted to dance with her but Jay stepped between them and said, "Sir, the lady said no." And then proceeded to push him away.

But still, there was this strange feeling inside her that something or should she say someone was missing.

"Mom. Have you seen dad?" She asked her mother who looked around in all directions before shouting his name.

"Ray? Ray? Where are you? It's your son's birthday! You can't just disappear like this!" Maya frantically yelled and sent a random guard to go and look for the king.

"I can't find him anywhere!" The guard panted and collapsed to the ground which made the already big crowd around them even bigger.

"He better not be buying the milk...." Maya muttered. She tried to call him through her phone but didn't get any response. So she sent a search party around the entire kingdom.

~*~*~*~THE NEXT WEEK ~*~*~*~

Kai's birthday was strange to say the least.

It was all going just fine until his Father dissapeared. Like poofed out of existence

His mother wasn't doing well either. After finding out that he still hadn't been found even after she sent a search party in the entire continent, she'd been angry at first and was then bawling her eyes out and Nya had been trying to calm her down but she herself was crying so her efforts were pretty much fruitless.

But the strangeness doesn't stop there. Cases of missing people and objects slowly kept popping up and no one knew what was going on.

"Is mom okay?" Kai asked his sister as she slowly closed the door to her mother's room.

"I finally got her to go to sleep but she's not doing any better..." Nya sadly spoke.

"It's so strange... one moment we were all having fun and the next moment we were all worried and were looking for dad." Kai gently pulled her into a hug. "But we will hopefully manage to find out what happened. There must be an explanation to this. People just don't randomly dissapear like that."

"I just hope that he's okay and not dead..." Nya whimpered through tearful eyes.

"Hey, Do you want to have a sleepover in my room?" Kai softly asked her. The two would always have a sleepover when one of them was upset; It was their way of coping. They would stay up all night and eat candy that they stole from the kitchen while talking about what was bothering them or they would watch movies if they didn't feel like talking. Sometimes they would do both.

"Sure.... I'd love that..." She replied and the two walked over to his room.
