14: Amaal.
Ayesha's POV,
My new job is really amazing. I feel so authoritative, and I made friends with everyone in just a short time. Everyone is soo friendly with me.
At Armaan's place too everyone made me feel like home. Especially Armaan. I never thought he could ever be soo sweet to me. Although, there's one person I'm worried about, who maybe, is not happy that I'm staying here.
Amaal.
He is trying anything and everything he can to avoid me. Whenever we'd come in front of eachother coincidently, he would turn around and leave making any excuse he could no matter how lame. It feels nerve-wracking sometimes. That day when he tried to stop me from leaving I was soo rude to him. He honestly told me about his feelings and I.... Am such an idiot.
😖😖😖
I came back from the office late than usual. It was a long, tedious day full of work. I just wanted to go to my room, dip in the bathtub and take a short nap and then eat something heavy, like a whole large pizza or pasta. Yum. My mouth watered just thinking about it. I was starving.
As I entered the house it seemed empty.
"Where's everyone?" I asked Kaka.
"They went to some party Ayesha beta and Armaan ji went to Delhi for a few days." He informed.
"Delhi?" I almost screamed. "Why? And for how long?"
"That I don't know. He was saying that he was going to be a judge."
Oh right! I forgot. He was offered to be a judge for the Voice India and he was going to travel a lot for auditions. Oh man! Why did it had to happen right when I came to live here?! There goes all the plans I made for our dates. 😭
"Should I make something to eat for you?" He asked ever soo sweetly.
"No Kaka it's ok. I'm not hungry." I said and took the stairs. I lost my appetite now that my sweetheart isn't here with me. Tsk! How unfair!
I stopped in my steps as I heard the piano. It was a familiar tune and I know exactly who it was.
I made my way to the music room. Kaka was kind enough to take my bag to my room.
I stood outside silently watching Amaal move his fingers on the keys like magic, eyes closed and totally immersed in the song. It made me smile. I like to see him like that. I too was lost in the tune. This scenario was quite familiar. It was exactly how we met for the first time.
Suddenly he banged his fingers on the keys angrily making me jump.
His shocked eyes stopped at me.
"Ayesha?"
"Oh, hey, sorry I didn't wanted to disturb you. I just got home but I was drawn to your music....again." I said cheerfully.
"Oh."
"Oh? That's all? You're not going to say anything else? Come on! Did you forget, this is how we met for the 1st time." I said a bit offended.
"Ofcourse, I'll never forget the moment I first met you, but what's the point?" He said looking straight into my eyes. It made me blush.
'Congratulations Ayesha on making the situation akward.'
"So, what are you working on?" I went in and sat beside him trying to change the subject.
"Nothing, I was just getting bored." He said avoiding my eyes now.
"Oh."
There was an akward silence.
"So..." We said in unison.
"Uh...u go first." He said.
"No...u should go first." I told him.
"No, ladies first." He said and chuckled softly.
I smiled at him as the akwardness was reducing. His expression changed all of a sudden, and he looked intense. I froze up. What is this tense atmosphere all of a sudden? He stared into my eyes and his fingers gently brushed my cheek. I held my breath.
"You know, when you smile like that at me, it's hard for me to resist from getting closer to you." He said in a low voice. I was blinking rapidly.
What's going on?! What do I do?!
"Uh....buh...bub..." I jerked back looking away trying to think what to say to avoid the situation.
He lightly snorted. "Sorry, I forgot about Armaan." He said.
I don't know why and for what exactly but I wanted to apologise to him. "Amaal I..."
"Do you really like Armaan that much that you can't even give me a chance?"
I bit my lip looking down. I don't wanna hurt his feelings but.... Not saying anything I'm hurting him more.
"You're right. I really love him..."
I went on ranting for almost an hour about my feelings for Armaan and he was just listening patiently. Not once did he tried to stop me. He's such a nice guy. I was hurting his feelings yet he was soo calm.
"I'm sorry Amaal."
"Don't be. I'm the one who needs to apologise. I tried to push my feelings on you without trying to understand your feelings for my brother. I hope that idiot feels the same about you."
I blushed.
"This is nothing what I told you though. You should see my diary. It's completely filled with him." I giggled but then I remembered,
"It went missing though."
"Missing?" He asked.
I nodded frowning.
"I always kept my diary in my purse to write anytime my feelings are about to overflow but since your bday party it's missing. I don't know if I misplaced it somewhere or someone took it."
"Took it huh." He said deep un thoughts.
"Um...Amaal?"
He abruptly brought his attention at me.
"Ayesha! Let's search for your diary. It means a lot to you, doesn't it?"
I nodded excitedly.
"Alright then. Let's start a search for your diary." He grinned.
