Those Be Fighting Words

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I just submitted the first chapter of my book to a literary agent! I am so anxious and it's going to take like 12 weeks before they get back to me... (that's if they even want to take it on...)

Anyway, this one shot is a request by ItsHadeslol and I'm super sorry for how long it's taken!

Ships: BlackPepper, SpideyPool, IronStrange

Warnings: Bullying, insults, physical violence, use of magic to cause harm to others, swearing, bribery,

Out of all the entitled interns she'd ever met, Flash was the only one that made Pepper Potts-Romanoff want to punch him in the face.

She was standing next to the tower's offical tour guide, handing out lanyards and ID cards to the new stream of interns. Most of them had worked their way into Stark Industries lowest rank through good grades, science fair wins, or by submitting an invention.

However, a handful of the interns had bought their way in - their parents bribing either upper SI workers for good references or the submission judges to put them in the top group.

Eugene Thompson was one of those interns.

As Pepper handed him the card, Flash laughed, attempting to hand it back to her with a smug smirk. "You might as well just keep it. I'll probably be moved up to head scientist by the end of the week, anyway."

Her smile immediately became extremely forced. "Mr Thompson, I truely doubt that will be the case. Please take your ID and go up to floor 9, meeting room 7 for the introduction."

He humphed but took the card, walking over to the lift where a bunch of other interns were waiting.

Peter had an odd, unsettling feeling as he walked down the halls of Stark Tower, with his boyfriend Wade cracking flirty jokes to his left. It certainly wasn't his Peter Tingle, but he definitely had a bad feeling.

"They say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth." Wade mused with a smirk. "Well, apparently no one has ever been in the same room as you before."

Peter snickered, rolling his eyes and shaking his head in amusement. A large group of interns bustled past them and into the meeting room at the end of the hall, with a lot of alone interns following suit.

The introduction was about to take place, with each of the interns meeting the Avengers, signing contracts to never reveal the identity of any hero who's name is not public knowledge. This was so that Peter, Wade, and any other hero, could walk around completely unworried that their identity will no longer be a secret.

Speaking of the Avengers, the rowdy group of superhumans were making their way towards Peter and Wade when a voice called out - making them stop.

"Oi, Parker! What are you doing here, you loser?!" Flash exclaimed, storming over to Peter with a visible scowl.

His parents had spent half a million dollars getting him into an intern position. If Peter was here, not only was he not lying about being a Stark Industries intern, but he didn't have to buy his way in. Not that 'Peter Parker', Peter's fake identity, could afford bribery money.

Wade, along with the Avengers (who neither Flash nor Peter realised were present) stared at the angry, yet somehow still smug looking intern.

Peter visually clammed up, his shoulders falling and his head lowering lightly, as if he was ashamed. He'd been bullied by Flash for years and was used to this sort of treatment. So much so that he unconsciously began to believe that everything negative Eugene was saying about him was true, even though none of it was.

"I intern here, Flash. You know that." Peter replied, face tugging into a frown. He didn't actually, of course, but he had to maintain his fake identity - for now.

"As if they'd take some poor, stupid nobody like you." Flash scoffed, his mind racing for non-internship reasons Peter would be there. "I bet you're actually the janitor, huh, Parker. Gotta make some money to feed you and your agoraphobic aunt. She hasn't left the house since you were what, six?"

Peter opened his mouth to defend his non existent aunt, but was interrupted by Flash, who had decided on a better reason. "But I doubt you're smart enough to be qualified for that position, either! I bet you've just broken into the tower and are pretending to be an intern."

Stephen and Tony Stark-Strange, Peter's fathers, were visibly pissed off by Flash's cruelty plus the impact it was visibly having on their son. The rest of the Avengers were also angry, but hadn't gone full Peter Protection Squad yet.

"Flash, I don't think-" Peter tried to say, knowing that if his family were to hear his bully's words, it wouldn't be pretty. Wade, who was glowering at Eugene, had already heard more then enough to want his head,

Eugene rolled his eyes, interrupting Peter with a loud huff. "Oh shut up, you poor, disgusting orphan."

"That's it!" Tony snarled, getting the attention of everyone in the hallway as he stormed over to Flash. "Don't you fucking DARE speak to Peter like that!"

"You... you know Penis Parker?" Flash mumbled, eyes widening. If the Avengers and Wade looked ready to beat him up already, Flash's final insult tipped them over the edge.

Bucky cracked his knuckles as the others got into fighting stances. "Those be fighting words, dickhead."

Natasha got the first blow before he could move, slapping him across the face. Holding his face, Flash shrieked in horror, running towards the meeting room full of confused interns.

As Wade and the Avengers chased the teenage boy, Peter was screaming for them to stop.

What would the interns think?! The Avengers, beating up a teenager right in front of them.

The interns were seated in the chairs, watching in horror, amusement, or shock as they ran circles around the room.

While they didn't get many hits due to the obstacles, plus the fact that Flash was running away from them, there were a few notable ones. Like Stephen's, when he opened up a portal, punching Flash before the teen could notice it. Or Loki, who made Eugene grow a purple wolf tail.

Peter was apologising perfusley to the interns while trying to get his family to stop. However, this definitely didn't work, as Wade then got a good jab on Flash's stomach.

After a good ten minutes of this, the Avengers and Wade were finally webbed to the wall, keeping them from doing any more damage to Flash.

Peter sent a nervous smile towards the room full on interns, plus a horrified Flash, who were staring at him with open mouthed amazement. "Heh... I guess you all know I'm Spider-Now now..."

Before anyone could say anything, Pepper stepped into the room (having witnessed everything from the doorway), handing Eugene a contract, which he signed in a shocked daze. By the time he'd come out of it, she was holding out her hand with a smug smirk. "You were right, Mr Thompson. We should have just kept your ID and lanyard. You are now fired for bullying one of your coworkers and creating a toxic work environment."

"But my parents-" Flash tried to argue, eyes going wide. However, he knew better then to not do as she asked so he handed her the ID and lanyard with shaky hands.

Pepper interrupted, attempting to hide her amusement. "Should be lucky we're aren't contacting the police over their bribery. Now, please leave the premises. You will be black listed from future hiring processes, too."

Eugene left quickly out of humiliation, with the other interns signing secrecy contracts while the Avengers, and Wade, were removed from the webbing.

With a grin, Wade turned to Peter. "Are you a campfire? Because you're hot and I want s'more!"

"Wade..."
