*Tobias's POV*

I walk back to Shane's house. I walk to my car. Louisa is standing there by my car. I roll my eyes. She is wearing a hoodie on top of her dress. She walks up to me. "Woods, please listen to me." She says as she puts her hands on my shoulders. "We're done, Louisa. You cheated. I hate cheaters." I say as I remove her hands. I walk to my car. I get into my car. "But, What's gonna happen now? You're going for little Ruby?" She says. You can see that she's trying to make herself cry. I turn on the engine. "Woods, just listen to me. I will change I promise you." She says with tears in her eyes. I look at her with a sight. I just drive away. If she really liked me, she wouldn't cheat. Specially not with Shane. I forgot about her for a second as I feel air with snowflakes hit my face. I just danced under the snow with Ruby. I danced! She made me dance. I park my car. I lean my head to the back. I take a deep breath. I smile to myself as I remember how we danced and laughed. I get out of my car. I go into the house. It's all quiet. I go upstairs into my room. I jump into bed filled with a feeling that I have never felt before.

I wake up on Anne's voice as she wakes me up. "I want Ice cream with Peter." She says. I grumble in bed. "Okay." I say in a sleepy voice. She walks out of the room happily. I get up to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and get back into the room. I pull on a pair of black jeans. I wear a white t-shirt along with my jeans jacket. I go downstairs with an untied shoelace. I get into the kitchen as the smile of eggs and sausage fill up my nose. I sit around the table. I lean down to tie my shoes. "Good morning, where were you last night?" Tessa asks as she places a plate in front of me. It has waffles and eggs along with amazingly made sausages. God, I am living in heaven. Dad enters the kitchen. The smell of beer and vodka follow him into the kitchen. Alissa follows him into the kitchen. She's wrapped in her silk rope. They both sit down. "How are you little Anne?" He asks. Like he cares about her or something. "I am okay, grandpa." She says. I don't really know if Anne is having a good childhood. Like me. She is almost living without a father. But, she's luckier than me. She has the most loving mom in the whole world. I lost mine. And it was my father's fault. "Woods, where were you?" Tessa asks a she places two plates in front of them. "A party at Shane's. I broke up with Louisa by the way." I say as I eat my delicious heavenly meal. "What?" "Yay!" She and Anne say at the same time. I smile a bit as I remember bits of last night. "Come on, Anne. Peter is waiting for ice cream!" I say as I get up after finishing my whole plate. I pick up Anne from her chair. I seat her on my shoulders. "Bye, mommy." She says as she waves her mother. Tessa smiles. "Take good care of yourselves and say hi to Ruby and Peter for me." She says as she waves at us. "Hey, boy." I hear him call me. He doesn't call me Tobias or Woods. He never called me by my name not even before mom's death. "Yeah?" I answer back to him. "I need you tonight in some business." He says. Business for my father are not like anyone else. He means drugs, drinks and other shit. I stopped going with him. He took me once and mom found out. She got mad at him. He stopped taking me. I was 5 years old. "I am busy." I say as I turn. I feel a hand grab my arm that I almost dropped Anne. "You're coming, boy. Or you won't like how I am going to treat your friends." He threatens me. I know he means Ruby. She's the only friend of mine he ever met. That's why I never had real friends. Bringing Ruby here was a mistake. A stupid one. "Fine." I say as I grab my arm from his hold. I walk to my car. Anne is sitting in the passenger's seat. I hit the driving wheel with my fists hard. "God damn it!" I shout angrily. I sight. It's okay, Tobias. Control yourself. Anne is here. "Uncle Tobi, are you okay?" She asks me softly. "Yes, Anne. I am okay. Now who wants some ice cream?!" I say trying to hold my anger away from this little girl.

We arrive at the Clark's family house after getting the ice cream. We walk to the door. I knock the door. Shane opens the door. Well, that's a surprise. Almost a surprise. "I am here for Peter." I say. He lets us in. "I didn't know you had a little sister?" He asks me. "She's my sister's daughter." I say. Louisa is sitting on the couch. She gets up. She walks up to us. "Woods? You're here for me, right?" She asks as her face lightens up. I roll my eyes. "No, We're here to eat ice cream with Ruby and Peter." Anne says. Louisa looks at her in surprise and sadness. Anne grabs my hand and we go upstairs. I knock before hearing Ruby's voice approving us to get in. I open the door and Peter and her and laying on there stomachs. "Anne!" Peter gets up and he and Anne hug. I look at Ruby. She gets up. She is wearing black sweatpants along with a baby blue hoodie. Her hair is lose. Her red hair is so beautiful against the blue color. "We got ice cream!" I say with a smile. She smiles back at me. I give Anne her ice cream and Peter's. They take it to Peter's room so Peter can show her his coloring books.

We are sitting in her room, eating ice cream. "Hey, wanna come to Ash's with me tomorrow night?" She says. "Sure, but why?" I ask. "Well, we are going to do the secret gifts thing." She says. "And what is that?" I ask. I don't really know what people are supposed to do in Christmas as grownups. As a child before mom died, Christmas for me was having cookies and gifts. But after she left, I was all alone. Tessa would always be with her husband. I would be at the house all by myself. Dad would be at the bar or something. "Well, you get a gift for each person in the group and you get a gift back. You don't write your name on the gift. And the gifts you get, you won't know who got it for you." She says. Sounds fun. "Okay, who is gonna be there?" I ask. "Me, Ash and Jim." She says. I am kinda glad Albert isn't going to be there. "What about Albert?" I ask. "Well, he's traveling to Australia for the holidays." She says. Yes! I am going to have Ruby all winter break for myself.
