*Ruby's POV*

I watch him run outside while tears fill up my eyes. I get up from the ground. I feel Albert's arms around me. I bury my face into his bare shoulder. I feel bad. I am a liar. I am a slut just like Tobias said. He is right. I broke him. "It is okay, Ruby." I hear Albert saying. I pull back from the hug. "No, Albert. It is not okay." I find myself saying hard. He looks at me in complete shock. "I am sorry. I can't do this." I say as I grab my blouse and head out of there, leaving Albert both alone and confused.

I knock on the class's door. I get in as I hear Miss Candor's approval. I scan the class room in search for Tobias. "Why are you late , Miss Clark?" Miss Candor says grabbing my attention. "Sorry, I had a bad stomachache." I lie. She nods to me as I walk to my desk. "I wonder where is Tobias. I hope he's okay. God, I feel horrible. As the bell rings, I head outside. But, then I hear Miss Candor calling me. "Yes?" I say as I head back into the classroom. "I hope you and Mr. Woods are almost finished with your presentation. I hope also you're working on the project." She says. Shit. We didn't work on that presentation at all. And the project. Damn it. "Yes. Of, course Miss Candor." I say. "Do you know where is he, by the way?" She asks. Well, I really hope I do know. I shake my head. "Okay, have a good day." She says as I nod and walk away. I walk to my locker. Albert is standing there. I turn to the other direction, away from the locker. "Ruby." I feel a hand grab mine. I look back at his tall figure. "Are you okay?" He asks. I sight. "Albert, I am sorry but whatever happened between us in the gym room was wrong. I just need some space." I say as I turn and leave him again. Completely shocked.

I place the books I won't need into the locker. As I walk out of the school, I notice Louisa. She is making out with Shane. God, so that's her new boyfriend. I roll my eyes as I walk to wait for Mom's car. "Ruby?" I hear Ash's voice. He stands next to me. "Where is Tobias?" He asks. "I don't know." I say with my eyes fixed on the ground. "He was looking for you at lunch. I didn't see him since then. He didn't come to any of the Classes and his mustang is not parked." Ash says. I look back at the place his mustang was always parked. My phone vibrates in my hand. I look at it. There is a message from Mom. She is saying that she can't come. I should find a way home. I sight. "Is everything alright?" Ash asks. "Yeah, Mom is not coming. I guess I will walk home." I say. We hear a motorcycle sound. A motorcycle stops right in front of us. The rider takes off his helmet. It is Jimmy. Wow. "Hey, guys." He says. "Hey." I say. "Where is your boyfriend Woods guy?" He asks which makes my cheeks go red. "They are not dating, Jim." Ash says. "Oh, sorry." Jim says. "It is okay." I say wondering what would it be like to date Tobias. "We would like to give you a ride, Ruby. But, there is no place." Ash says as we hug. "It is okay. Enjoy, you guys." I say as we pull back from the hug. Jim hands Ash the helmet as they get on the motorcycle. They wave at me. I wave back as I watch them leave. They did make a good couple. I sight. I start to walk home. I think about what it would like to be actually dating Tobias. He would arrive with his mustang to my house every morning. We would drive together to school. We would then finish school and then he would let me drive his mustang home. I would invite him. We would just cuddle instead of doing our homework. It would be great. But, I just broke his heart. He would never treat me the same ever again. I enter the house. I hear laughing in the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and Shane and Louisa are sticked to each other. I just walk to the pantry. I grab a bag of chips and a box of Oreos. They look at me. I open the refrigerator and grab a can of sparkling water. I close the refrigerator. I roll my eyes at them as I leave the kitchen. I walk upstairs to my room. I shut the door behind me. I throw the food on my bed. I take off my shoes and bag. I grab a scrunchy and pull my hair into a bun. I jump into bed. I grab my laptop. I lay in bed with the lights closed. I open the laptop. I click the Netflix icon. I click on my favorite show. Stranger things. I watch with a mouth full of food and sparkling water. I eventually go to sleep.

I wake up to my Mom's voice calling my name. I grumble in my messy full of food bed. I close my laptop and place it on my nightstand. I grab the leftovers and throw them into the basket. I make my bed. I put on my black crocs. I head downstairs with sleepy eyes. I pump into a tall strong figure as I rub my eyes. I open my eyes and look up at him. It is Tobias. I just throw my arms around him out of happiness. I am glad to see him. He removes my hands and offers me his hand. I am confused. I shake his hand. He just walks into the kitchen leaving me confused.
