*Tobias's POV*

"Tobi! Oh god!" Tessa says as she holds my head which made my rips hurt. "Ow ow." I say in pain. "Sorry sorry. What happened?" She asks as she pulls a chair and sits down. "Just a fight at school. Where is Anne?" I ask trying ti change the topic. "She is at school. Did you invite Ruby tonight?" She asks smiling. "Yeah. She said she will come." I say. I really don't know what is wrong with us. Damn what is wrong with me. There is no us. She must like Roberts. I mean he's better than me. He's richer, better looking and actually a nice person. Who doesn't sleep with girls for fun. But, I changed. I am not that person anymore. Since I met Ruby. She changed me. I felt crazy with her. I felt alive with her. She saved my soul. She showed me heaven right between her arms. I feel crazy around her and I love it. The door knocks snapping me from my thoughts about her. Her beautiful figure appears as she enters the room. Her hair is actually lose, resting on her shoulders. She is wearing ripped black jeans along with a cyan sweater. Pair of black vans are in her feet. She is holding a bag. "Hey, Ruby." Tessa says as they hug. "I missed you." Ruby says with a smile. "Me, too." Tessa says. "I came by the house but, you weren't there." She says. Wait what? She went to my house? Alone? " oh honey thank y" "you went to my house? Alone?"  I say in a cold tone. They both look at me in shock. "Tobi, It is okay. She wanted to see me." Tessa says since she sensed the anger in my tone. "No, Tessa! It is not okay! She could have been kidnaped! You know the fucking neighborhood! Are you stupid?!" I yell at her trying to force some strength to my weak voice. My rips hurt badly. "I went there to bring you fucking clothes! To see your sister! To try to help a bit! I might be stupid but at least I am not a fucking jerk!" She yells back at me and throws the bag of clothes on my bed and rushes out of the room. "God Damn it, Tobi!" Tessa says as she walks after Ruby. I reach and grab the bag. I open it and take out a pair of black jeans with a white hoodie. My shoes and my mustang keys. A note is there as well. It is written by her beautiful handwriting. My eyes fall on the words reading them.
"Dear Tobias,
Don't be mad at me. I want us to be good friends. I am sorry that I thought you might be with my sister. I love out friendship.
Note: I drove the mustang.
Love, Ruby."
I finish the letter with a smile. I kinda regret yelling at her now. She cares about me. She cares cause she saved my life twice from a freaking fight. She cares cause she went to the my filthy neighborhood just get me clothes. She cares cause she wrote me this beautiful letter. I haven't got one like this in a while. I mean my locker most of the time is full of love letters from girls at school. I never considered reading any. I just realized that I read the most amazing thing ever. I get up with a lot of effort. I can go out today which is good. I change into the clothes she got me. I brush my hair. I grab the letter and fold it and I place it in my pocket. I grab the bag and leave the room. It is kinda hard to walk with broken rips that hurts every time you breath.

I get out of the hospital after having a word with my doctor. He said that if I ever felt up normal pain I should come to him. They are both standing by Tessa's car. I walk up to them. I catch a glimpse of Ruby rolling her eyes. "Hey, jerk." Tessa says as she crosses her arms in front of her chest. "I think you should go get stuff for the birthday, Tessa." I say as I give her the look that she should leave. I want to have a moment with Ruby. Alone. "Oh yeah. I will leave." She says as she hugs Ruby. She passes me a wink. I give her a thumps up. "I will see you tonight." Ruby says as they pull from the hug. Tessa gets into her car and drives away. Ruby starts to walk away. I run after her. I grab her arm to stop her from leaving. "Hey." She says in annoyance. "Can we talk?" I ask softly. "Why would you like to talk to a stupid person?" She says as she rolls her eyes at me. "Don't roll your eyes that much. It hides the beauty of your eyes." I say as I smile. I am not flirting. I am saying the truth. She hesitates for a while. "Fine. We can talk." She says. We walk to my car. I close the cover of my mustang. "Thanks for the letter." I say. She looks at me smiling. "You like it?!" She asks with a wide smile. "Yeah. It is beautiful." I say smiling. She looks at the ground. I can see her cheeks getting red. "I am sorry I yelled at you. I am just ..I don't wanna lose you." I say. I don't know where is this coming from. She looks at me. "You're not gonna lose me, Tobias. I am right here." She says. I place my fingers through hers. "Promise me, Ruby. Promise me that you won't go to that neighborhood alone again." I say as I hold her hand tightly between mine. "Okay, I promise you." She says. A moment of stretching silent. Our hands are still tangled between each other. "I wish she saw you, you know. She would've liked you. A lot actually." I say smiling as I remember my mother. "I wish I met her as well, Tobias. I am sure she was great." She says. I look at her. Her green eyes are giving light to her freckled light face. Her red curls are going down to touch her face from both sides. Her orange reddish lips are perfect with all this mixture of beauty. I take her face with my other hand. "You're so beautiful, Ruby." I find myself saying as I leen in. I am about to kiss her. A phone ringing interrupts. It her phone. Her hand leaves mine. I look at the window. I am kinda embarrassed. I mean why didn't she pull away. She was going to kiss me as well. I really don't understand her. "Hello." She says into the phone. "Oh hi, Albert." She says again. His name grabs my attention. I look at her. She is smiling. "Yeah, Tomorrow. 8:00 pm. I will wait for you." She says as she smiles. "Okay, bye." She says as the phone leaves her ear. She ends the call. She looks at me. She finds me staring. "Are you okay, Tobias?" Se says with a laugh. I nod with an ache in my chest. I don't know if it is my broken rips or my broken heart.
