*Tobias's POV*
She leaves me there. All alone. Again. I stand at the cliff. I look down at California. What would happen if I throw myself? Would it hurt? I don't think anything can hurt anymore. I lost them both. I remember how the tears were streaming down her beautiful face. How I caused her those tears. How I hurt her that bad. I walk back to my car. I drive back to meet my fate. To give up. I park the car in front of the bar, where my father asked me to meet the people he needs to get the stuff from. I text Elite to remind her of the the plan. I enter the bar. I walk into the bar. I sit down. "One beer." I say to the bartender standing to take my order. He passes me a bottle of beer. I take a big sip as a man with a blond braided beard sits in front of me. His hair is blond and tied up into a ponytail. He's lighting up a cigarette. "You must be Gary's kid?" He says as he looks at me. "Yeah." I say as I place the bottle on the counter. "If this thing gets fucked up, I will kill you and your pathetic father, you understand kid?" He says. I roll my eyes. This will be fucked up. I will fuck it up. The police will fuck it up. He nods to a girl standing next to him. She's wearing a short dress that shows a lot of her skin. She has a lot of make up on as well that she will be hardly to be recognized after she removes it. She gives me a suitcase. "Have fun." He says as he walks out of the bar. I pay for the beer. I make my way to my car. I wonder where is Ruby right now. I just wanted to hold her one last time. I know she won't visit me in jail. She will just make her way into her future. I sight, trying to get her off my mind. I open the suitcase. It has bags of powder. Cocaine. God, this will be bad. I press Elite's number as I start the engine. "Tobias, are you okay?" She asks as she answers the phone. "I am fine. Call the police." I say and then I hang up. I drive back home slowly to make sure I don't arrive before the police. I pass her house. Her room's lights are off. The living room's light is on. Her parents cars aren't parked. She must be home alone with Peter, since Louisa went to prom with Shane. I sight and go on with my way. I regret leaving Ruby Clarks. But, I don't regret loving her. Not for a second.
I hear sirens on my way to the house. The police must be close. I park the car. Five police cars stop right in front of my house. I throw the case on the floor and I put my hands in the air. People start to come out of my house. My father comes out. He stares at me. I am glad I betrayed him. I really am. He's the main reason why I left Ruby. Why I had to hurt her. I feel a hard grip on my hands. The cop gets my hands behind me. I don't struggle. I don't really want to struggle. I watch them as they try to grab my father. He struggles the most. I watch him as a couple of cops try to capture him. He gets away from there grip. He runs away. God no! I know where is he's going. I didn't really think about this. Fuck. He must be going for Ruby. He will hurt her. That look he gave me. He knows. He knows that I set him up. He will get his revenge right before he gets caught. I won't go to jail in vain. I won't do that. I hit the cop with the back of my head. "I am sorry." I say as I run after him. I have to make this right. I know that a lot of police cars must be behind us. Ready to capture us. I run like my life counts on it. Cause my life does count on it. Ruby is my life.
I arrive at her house with heavy breaths. I knock hard on the door. "Ruby?" I shout her name as I continue to knock harder. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She says as she opens the door. She looks untouched. I take a deep breath of relive. I wonder where is he. I need to get her out out of here. I just stare at her. She is so beautiful. Her hair is still loose. She's still in the same clothes she was in, when we met up. "What are you doing here? Leave." She says angrily. I just hold her. This might be the last time I hold her. The last time I will be able to touch her hair. She's not hugging me back. "I am sorry. I really am." I whisper into her ears. She hugs me back at last. I can feel her hands into my hair. I pull away from the hug to feel her lips pressed against mine softly. I kiss her will every breath. "You have to leave. Are you alone?" I say as I pull from properly our last kiss. "No, Peter is here. What's going on, Tobias?" She says looking worried. I love how she pronounces my name. I love it so much. No Tobias, Focus. "Hey listen. I love you. I need you to get Peter and leave." I say as I hold her face between my hands. It is soft. "Okay. Okay". She says nodding. She walks into the house. I wait by the door. She comes out with Peter. "Come on come on." I say as I take her hand. "Going somewhere?" I meet his eyes. He's standing there with a gun.
