Andie didn't know how long she was laying there. The sounds of her phone ringing, texts coming in, voicemails being left, all blended together. Though she couldn't move to answer it if she tried.
Of course, she'd do this- push the light in her life away. Or more like snuff it out entirely.
Her house was quiet, empty except for her and Zeppelin- who was currently at her side. She seemed to be mesmerized by the bare white ceiling, seeing as she just stared at it in a daze.
She blamed herself. She was too scared of jumping back into a relationship, and when Joe told her that he loved her that seemed to open up the floodgates of fear.
What if he ended up like Jefferson? What if he was just going to hurt her? What if it didn't work out, what would happen then?
Countless questions were in a flurry in her mind. On the inside, she was crying out with an explosion of emotions, but on the outside, she appeared how she ultimately felt: numb.
Zeppelin nudged her hand with his nose, and Andie snapped out of it. 'Get up Andrea,' she thought to herself, 'You need to feed your dog. Focus on him, he needs you.'
She squeezed her eyes shut, letting silent tears fall before slowly crawling out of bed and trudging towards the kitchen. Pouring some food into his dish, Zeppelin ate it quickly and gratefully. And that's when the home phone rang.
Andie stared at it for a moment, the blue rotary phone that hung on the wall. The same phone that gave her the call where she got this opportunity.
With a sigh she picked up the phone, letting out a scraggly, "Hello," to whoever was on the other end.
"Andie?"
Lucy.
"Are you okay?" Her friend's worried voice sounded in her ear, "No one has been able to get ahold of you."
"I'm fine," she tried to sound like her usual chipper self, but it came out broken.
"I was worried when you didn't come to set when you usually do, and Joe has been acting really strange all day. Did something happen between you two?"
The mention of Joe cause the dam to break, tears began to pour from her eyes as she began blubbering to Lucy, "Luce, I messed up. I messed up really badly," she cried between breaths.
"Andie just breath, I have a short day on set today, I'll be over as soon as I can-" Lucy began but the line on her end went dead. Lucy stared at the phone, Andie must've hung up on her.
The blonde turned to Joe, who sat stone-faced in his chair, scrolling through this phone, "What happened?" She said in a demanding tone, her hands on her hips.
"Nothing," Joe looked up from his phone for a moment, the spiteful glare still present on his face, "just a mistake."

Andie sat slouched against the kitchen wall, crying onto the floor. The argument that she and Joe had played on a loop in her head. The heartbroken look he gave her was etched in her memory like a tattoo on her brain.
"I shouldn't have said that," Andie quickly said, "I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."
"If you didn't mean it you wouldn't have said it," Joe told her, his eyebrow furrowing as he moved to get out of the bed.
"Joe, please," She pleaded, "I wasn't thinking."
"Obviously," Joe let out a single laugh in anger as he began to throw his clothes on, "Since you made the mistake of sleeping with me."
"Joe... I-"
"I guess me loving you was a mistake too, then?" he shook his head, tears brimmed at the corners of his eyes, "I should've known."
"No, it wasn't! Please let me explain," She tried to grab his arm but he quickly yanked it away, his back toward her now.
"No need, I get it. You just want to stay friends, and that's clearly out of the picture now," Every word seemed like a punch to the gut for both of them.
Andie was fully crying now as Joe walked towards the door, "Please, don't go."
"I'll see you at work, Andrea," Joe spat before slamming the bedroom door shut. Moments later she could hear the front door slam, and she was alone.
The kitchen phone rang again, and assuming it was Lucy, Andie reached up to answer it.
"I'm sorry, Luce, I'm just not in the mood for company right now," She sniffled to who she thought was her petit blonde friend.
"I'm not exactly in the mood either," Joe's voice sounded from the other end of the phone.
"Wha-" Andie began, but Lucy's voice cut her off.
"I don't know what the hell happened, but you two need to make up," Lucy demanded into the phone.
"Joe, please let me explain," Andie sobbed into the phone, "I can explain everything to you if you just listen to me!"
"I've heard enough, Dea- Andrea. I know how you really feel about me."
"No, you don't! Just listen to me damn it-" The sound of the dial tone met her ears and the woman slammed the phone back into its place.
-
"Now why'd you hang up?" Lucy shouted, gaining the attention of the rest of their castmates.
"Woah, what's going on?" Ben asked, approaching the two bickering friends, "Are you okay, mate?" He asked Joe seeing the hurt in the man's eyes.
"No. I'm not, and a simple phone call won't help us, Lucy," Joe frowned, putting his head in his hands.
"What's this all about?" Gwilym asked Lucy, "Did you get ahold of Andie?"
"Andie's in hysterics and Joe's throwing a pissy fit," Lucy explained, "So if you all don't mind, I'm going to go see if I can help calm Andie down. And in the meantime you can ask Joe why he's being such an arse," She turned quickly on her heel, stomping off of the set.
"Alright," Rami sighed, "What the hell happened?"
