~Y/n pov ~

Straightening out the wrinkles in my clothes and patting down my hair, I checked my appearance once more before leaving the cafe.

I'll admit I was pretty excited about being able to go to school, but I was still kind of worried about not fitting in or people finding out.

I arrived at my school, Kunugigaoka Junior High School, it was pretty mediocre.

After a while of aimless wondering , I had finally found my way to the office.

Bringing my hand up, I knocked only to hear an inaudible , "Come in."

I nervously straightened out my skirt before entering .

"Hello I'm y/n , did my guardian inform you about my arrival and certain circumstances." I smiled politely .

"Aah , yes she did , due to these circumstances you will be attending class 3-E which is off campus." He held no emotion whatsoever.

He reached over to hand me a map and a few other things. With a curt nod , I headed out of the office and checked the map.

I then arrived at the bottom of a hill, huffing, I began my climb.

Somehow, I had arrived on time to class and sat down in a seat near the back, since it was a new year we didn't need to introduce ourselves as some people didn't know anyone else anyway.

The door opened and I scanned the seats, there was one spare next to me, maybe someone got ill on the first day?

Who seemed to be our teacher ? Walked in followed by some weird yellow creature.

The man looked strict and the creature had a wide smile etched on his face.

Then the creature started talking in a cheerful voice, "So I'm the one who blew up the moon!"

Everyone just started at him blankly, "Huh?"

"Next year I intend to do the same to planet earth but nevermind that now I'm gonna be yo new teacher . Isn't that exciting?"

This was hard to believe giving his carefree attitude but do I have room to speak?

The serious man spoke up, "I'm Kurasama , I'm from the ministry of defence . What I'm about to tell you is classified. I'm gonna need you to kill this thing for the sake of mankind."

Everyone was shocked I mean who wouldn't be .

He demonstrated trying to attack him, but the yellow blob moved at an inhuman speed.

If we were assassinating this thing , we would have to have a pretty elaborate plan and I don't think any of these guys know how to fight.

We were given special green knifes and guns with special bullets designed to kill this guy.

And before we knew it here we were talking roll call.

Everyone shot at him as he called out our names.

It was kind of hard to hear over the racket.

Of course with his speed no one was able to hit him.

He closed the book, "Excellent , all present and accounted for."

"He's fast." Nakamura panted.

Isogai sighed, "The whole class opened fire and no one managed to hit him."

"No way you dodged all those bullets." Maehara complained .

Sugino picked up a bullet, "I mean he's got a point , these are only bbs. For all we know you just stood there and took them like a champ."

Said octopus sighed in response, "Collect the ammunition and bring it here ."

When we had done so he picked up a gun , "As explained they are anti-me bbs , harmless to you but cut through me like tofu."

He shot one of his tentacles .

It went flying off only to regrow seconds later , " These were developed by the government for that purpose and in a few seconds my arm grows back , however if you shoot your eye out it won't grow back. From now on no discharged gunfire in class."

His grin widened as green strikes appeared on it , "Safety first and good luck killing me before graduation you'll need it."

If I remember correctly green stripes meant he was feeling superior.

This is pretty weird , to be placed in this class and on the first day of public school.

The class proceeded but I came to realise I had already learnt all of this, maybe I learned a few years above this in online classes.

I sighed staring out the window waiting for time to pass, I decided to stay in class til at least lunch to try and make a few friends , then I could skip the rest of the day.

The bell signalling lunch broke me out of thought as the teacher opened the window , "Excuse me while I head to China for a quick bite."

He blasted off before anyone could say anything.

Must be nice being able to visit any country you want and at that speed.

A girl with green hair approached my desk, "Hey I'm Kayano Kaede, I haven't seen you before."

I smiled , "Hi I'm y/n."

She looked puzzled for a second, "Don't you have a last name."

Sadly I looked down, "I don't remember , so it's just y/n."

She tried to change the sad atmosphere , "Y/n if I call you by your first name call me Kaede ."

My eyes widened, my first friend, I hope my parents are proud wherever they are . Are they even alive ?

I can't remember their names or faces .

"Nagisa come here ." Kaede called over a blue haired boy?

"This is Shiota Nagisa." She introduced .

I stuck my hand out , "Y/n."

He shook my hand and smiled , "Just call me Nagisa or Nagisa-kun."

We then ate lunch together and exchanged numbers, we got along well in a sense but their happy go lucky attitude pissed me off.

Sighing dejectedly, I turned the opposite way and instead of heading home, I explored the forest a bit, scoping out all the best places to go when I skipped .

They was a cliff and a few good shady spots with big trees , good for climbing.

There was at least another hour til school finished so I decided to head home, one the way I was stopped by a small gang of three.

"Where you going demon child!"

"Not even your parents loved you, that's why you're adopted."

"Show us what your made of I don't believe the rumours one bit ."

I cracked my knuckles grinning, "Don't underestimate me because I'm a girl!"

Swinging my fist, I whacked one of them round the face, kicking another .

They tried to block but their block was weak and my hits pushed past their defences .

Two down one to go.

I turned to the last one who was shivered , "The rumours were true you are a demon, stay away!"

He ran off while I just looked after him not bothering to chase him.

My gaze turned to the two beaten bodies then my knuckles, they had a few scratches but not as bad as they used to be after fights.

I turned at the sound of slow clapping and saw a redhead smiling sadistically , "That was quite the show, I think we'll made a good team."

Tilting my head I asked , "Who are
you?"

"Akabane Karma, but you can just call me Karma or Karma-kun." He smirked reaching for a hand shake.

I shook it , "Y/n , just y/n."

"I'll call you y/n. Where you heading ?"

"Home."

"I'll take you!"

"Okay?"

With that we set off , he kept asking me questions .

"So I see we go to the same school, what class you in?" Karma asked .

I looked at him but he wasn't wearing a uniform, "You didn't attend school today am I right?"

He shook his head no.

"It seems you were suspended ." I smirked playfully , "Anyway I'm in E class . I'm not sure why I was just out there . This is my first time attending a school."

"Oh and why is that?" Karma pressed.

"I went to online school." Was my short response .

"Why?" He pressed further demanding answers.

I looked up to see we had arrived at the cafe, "This is my stop."

"A cafe."

"Yes my guardian works here. Bye now." I walked towards the entrance .

"Hey you didn't answer my question before !"

I continued walking ignoring him.

"Wait!" A hand grabbed my wrist.

"At least take this." A piece of paper was shoved in my hand as he ran off.

"What a weird kid! Maybe we could get along he seems more like me , unusual, maybe sadistic?" I talked to myself.

A/n i tried to make this a bit different from other Karma ffs what do you think? This chapter is a bit longer than the last :)
