Evening, Malhotra Mansion

Nandu got ready and eagerly came to meet Manik, who was now busy checking the final arrangements. She stopped at the entrance door and called Manik.

Manik(confused): Yaha, door par kyun ruk gayi? Andar chal.

Nandu(pouts): Manik, understand. This is the first time I am coming here as ghar ki bahu. Main aise kaise andar aa jaun?

Manik(sarcastically): Toh kaise andar aayegi?

Nandu(seriously): I don't know.

Manik(disbelievingly): Nandu, this isn't the first time you're coming here. Remember, subah humne yahi baat kiya tha?

Nandu(argued): Arey woh alag tha. Main raat mein yahi thi na. But ab main freshly ghar aayi.

Manik(tired): Nandu, andar chal. Mom bhi busy hai. And I have lots of work to do.

Nandu(glared): Don't scold me. It's my birthday today.

Rolling his eyes, Manik picks her up in bridal style and moves towards the garden. She happily puts her hands around his neck and grins.

Nandu(pecking his cheek): My smart boyfriend.

As they reach their friends, everyone starts hooting seeing them. Manik puts her down on a chair.

Cabir(smirked): Ahan...Toh yahan romance chal raha tha.

Manik(smiled sarcastically): Of course. Chal hum dono bhi romance karte hai. Come, pick me up.

Cabir(horrified): Nahi, tujhe main nahi utha sakta.

He glares at Cabir and leaves to check the arrangements.

Cabir(curious): Nandu, can I ask you something?

Abhi(chuckles): Bhai, nahi. Aaj Nandu ka birthday bhi hai so, she has an added advantage.

Cabir(stuttered): Aaj birthday hai toh main darta hu kya usse.

Navya(coolly): Abhimanyu, chodo ise. Lato ke bhoot baato se nahi maante.

Alya(confused): What?

Dhruv:(explained) Baby, kuch nahi. Cabir loves challenges, right?

Arya(teased): Rather, putting his life as a challenge.

Cabir(pouts): Mukti, tu bhi kuch bol de.

Mukti(casually): Kya bolu? Kuch ulta bolega phir pitega Nandu se. Great. Nandu ka birthday gift ho jayega. Carry on.

Cabir(sarcastically): You all love me so much.

Nandu(impatiently): Cabir, jaldi bol nahi toh main ja rahi idhar se.

Cabir(questioned): Acha, I was saying, ab tu Manik ki girlfriend ban gayi na. Toh Manik ka best friend position vacant rahega, right?

Nandu(frowned): Vacant kyu rahega. Main hoon na Manik ki best friend?

Cabir(stated): But you are his girlfriend now.

Mukti(irritated): Jaldi khatam kar kya bolna chahta hai.

Nandu(pouts): Cabir, don't tell me you are trying to grab my best friend place in Manik's life. Are you?

Cabir(declared): Exactly. You can't have both. Yeh dekh, yeh gana market mein naya aaya hai. Manik ise jisko bhi dedicate karega after listening to it, they will be his new best friend.

Arya(argued): How's it even fair? You get to choose the song, you would obviously choose something that would remind Manik about you.

Nandu(sternly): Arya, it's ok. Le aa, Manik ko.

He smiles wickedly and goes to bring Manik.

After a few minutes, Manik returns back with Cabir and takes a seat beside Nandu.

Manik(patting her head lightly): Yes, birthday girl. You needed me?

Nandu(glared): Aisa bola usne tujhe?

Manik(confused): Aisa nahi hai kya?

Nandu(sweetly): Nahi. Nothing. Acha Manik, listen to this song and bata na, whom do you want to dedicate it?

Manik gives them an amused look before agreeing as Cabir plays the song on his mobile.

Manik had a sweet smile on his lips listening to the lyrics. He looks at Nandu lovingly.

Manik: This song truly defines us, right?

Nandu hugs him tight and pecks his cheek.

Nandu(excited): Thank you, thank you. That means I am still your best friend.

Manik(surprised): I already told you yesterday, I am your best friend first.

Nandu(pouted): Yes. But is Cabir ko proof chahiye tha.

Manik chuckles at her as everyone burst out laughing at Cabir's expense.

When everyone goes near the cake, Nandu pulls Cabir aside to talk to him.

Nandu(sincerely): Cabir, I am really sorry for teasing you all these days. It's my birthday and I want to make everything right.

Cabir(worried): Nandu, kya ho gaya tujhe suddenly? All this is fun and you know na, I love you so much?

Nandu(flashed her teeth): Thanks Cabir. I love you too, bestest friend.

She flung into his arms for a hug. They leave towards everyone with Cabir wrapping his hand around Nandu's neck. They were shocked to see the change suddenly but let it go due to the excitement of the party.

Alya(squeal): Nandu, make a wish.

Nandu(in mind): Just keep everyone happy, all of us together and Manik and I should be the same. Happily in love.

Manik(whispers in her ear): I know what you wished for. I love you the most.

Nandu grins at him. With youngsters screaming the birthday song, Nandu finally cuts the cake. The elders leave for Murthy Mansion giving kids their space. As soon as they leave, everyone, excluding Manik, gets ready to smash the cake on Nandu's face when she stops them.

Nandu(seriously): Guys, I really don't have the mood to get ready one more time. Rather I will go home and sleep.

They whine.

Nandu(excited): ok, stop whining. Let's do one thing. Instead of me, my bestest friend will let you decorate his face with the cake.

Manik(whines): Nandu, nahi na. I am already tired.

Nandu(glared): Shut up. Apne aap ko jyada bhav mat do. You are just my friend. Nothing else.

Manik(shocked): What?

Nandu(sternly): Yes. Maine party ke pehle hi apna best friend change kar liya.

Manik(hurt): Who?

Cabir(yelled): Nahi. Chudail. Dhokebaaz. Tune mere saath dhoka kiya.

Nandu(smirked): I didn't even take your name. So, guys, have fun.

She jumps on Manik for a hug while the others smash the cake on Cabir's face. Cabir stomping his feet goes to freshen up after which he huffs in anger and sits alone. Nandu who noticed this gets a piece of cake for Cabir.

Nandu(holding her ear): Sorry na, Cabir.

Cabir(huffed): I am not talking to you.

Nandu(sadly): It's my birthday and phir meri dress kharab ho jayegi.

Cabir(upset): But why did you lie? Mujhe phasane ke liye hi na? Because Manik is your best friend, right?

Nandu(announced): Nahi. Aaj pure party mein you are my best friend. Look, I am sitting beside you and for the entire party. Friends?

Manik(disbelievingly): Really?

Cabir grins and side hugs her. They decide to sing songs for entertaining themselves.

First, they all ask Manik to sing to which he smirks and starts the song.

Nandu jumps in excitedly and sings along with Manik making Cabir glare.

After the song, Manik picks Nandu up and twirls her around making her giggle.

Cabir(glared): Tune bola I am your best friend.

Nandu(cutely): Cabir, I love SRK.

He nods. And starts singing 'main tera boyfriend'. Navya joins him. Being tired of the jumping around, they have their dinner and call it a night. 

If Possible, there might be another update in some time. But I am not sure.
