Late Afternoon, Malhotra Mansion

A grumpy Nandu barged into the house startling Nyonika and Raj.

Raj(chuckled): Ye tu aaj sachi Don ban kar ghum rahi hai kya?

Nandu glared him.

Nyo(curiously): Nandu kya hua tujhe?

Nandu(folding her hands across her chest): No one cares about me. Even you both don't have to. I need Manik. Where the hell is he?

Nyo(frowned): Ishu ya Raman se jhagad kar aayi?

Nandu(sternly): Where is your son?

Raj(pointing towards Manik's room): Apne room mein hai. (She turns to leave when Raj shouts from behind) Please don't kill my one and only son.

Nandu rolls her eyes and walks towards Manik's room. On the way, she was stopped by Soha.

Soha(excitedly): Hi Nandu.

Nandu(warned): Soha, don't make me talk now. I am not in a proper mood

Soha(confused): But Nandu, mujhe na samajh nahi aa raha.

Nandu(crossing her hands across her chest): kya?

Soha(puzzled): Nandu, Rahul Gandhi ki shadi ab tak kyun nahi hui?

Nandu(snapped): First of all it's Nandini. Second, stop bothering about every single unmarried guy on this planet and for God's sake stop asking me such stupid questions. Na hi main Rahul Gandhi ki shadi ka muhurat nikalne wali hun aur na hi tum usse shadi karne wali ho.

Soha(almost crying): I thought we are friends.

Nandu(scowled): No. Zabardasti ki friendship mat karo mujhse. I am not your friend. I am not anyone's friend. I hate everyone.

Soha(frowned): But Manik.

Nandu(pissed): I am throwing him from the top of the terrace today. You are gladly invited. Bye for now.

Nandu barges from there.

Soha(mutters to herself): Tum mere Manik ko maarna chahti ho aur mere high IQ questions par comment kar rahi ho na, Nandini Murthy. I will see your end today.

Manik's Room

Manik was peacefully playing video games with Aryaman when he heard a scream.

"Manik Malhotra"

Aryaman and Manik turn towards the sound and finds Nandu furiously glaring him.

Manik(concentrating on the game): Kisiko marna hai ya already murder karke aayi?

Nandu(fuming): Malhotra, meri zindagi barbaad ho gayi aur tu yahan video games khelte mera mazaak uda raha hai?

Before he could reply her, his mobile buzzes.

Manik(smiled): This might be important. Let me finish this call and come.

Nandu looks at him disbelievingly and takes a seat on the bed. Aryaman goes and sits beside her.

Nandu(huffing in anger): I will kill him today.

Arya(poking her hand): You know what we people do when we get angry?

Nandu glares him.

Arya(softly): We think about the root cause of the problem and try to solve it.

Manik enters the room after finishing the call. Seeing him, Nandu glares him hard. After a minute, when Manik still doesn't respond she looks down and starts playing with her fingers.

Nandu(mutters feebly): Best Friend.

Manik and Arya smile at her. Manik takes her into a side hug.

Manik(chuckles): Yes Nandu, your best friend is here. Kya hua?

Nandu(rants): Everyone hates me including my own parents. Tu bhi agar mujhe hate karta hai toh bata de, main Himalaya chali jaungi.

Manik(rolling his eyes): Nandini Murthy, papa ne sirf ek party attend karne bola hai aur tu pure ghar ko apne sar par utha rahi hai.

Nandu(scared): Manik woh sirf party nahi hai. That's Murthy Industries ka party. You know last time bhi Harshad's fiasco happened.

Manik(assured): Murthy, last time was different. Ab main bhi hoon na? Do you think I will let any guy roam around you?

Nandu(raising an eyebrow): Aur agar party mein koi cute sa ladka mujhe pasand aagaya toh?

Manik(winked): Kidnap karke le aa jayenge?

Nandu(excitedly): Tu bhi aa raha hai kya?

Manik(smirks): Guess who called me just now?

Nandu(surprised): Papa? Unhe kaise pata chala, I am here?

Manik(casually): Normal si baat hai. Tera volcano yahi aakar toh shaant hota hai.

She flashes her teeth and jumps on him for a hug. Breaking the hug,

Nandu(grins): You are the best.

Manik(smirks): I am the bestest.

Nandu(puzzled): kyun?

Manik(grins): Kyunki mere saath hamare sare friends aa rahe hai. Because even Papa doesn't want that Harshad's fiasco to repeat again.

Nandu(proudly): Aakhir Papa kiske hai. He loves me a lot.

Manik(glares): Acha? Ghar par kya bol kar aayi?

Nandu(sheepishly): Ki main Himalaya ja rahi hun.

He nods his head in disbelief.

Nandu(pulling his cheeks): Tu hai na mere barf ka gola.

Manik(rolling his eyes): that's Pahad Nandu.

Nandu(coolly): Jo bhi hai. Tujhe samajh aagaya na? Bye, I am leaving now. Mujhe party ke liye tayyar hona hai.

Nandu runs out of the room but then returns back and hugs Aryaman.

Nandu(whispers): I am sorry and thank you.

Aryaman pats her back and she leaves grinning.

Manik(chuckles): Sorry, she doesn't listen to anyone while she is this angry.

Arya(smiles): Don't say sorry, Manik. I know she is a kid.

Living Room

Seeing a happy Nandu, Raj gets confused.

Raj(confused): Nandu, you thik?

Nandu(grinning): Dad, I am thik.

Manik(coming from his room): Nandu, tera mobile.

While Nandu goes to take her mobile, Raj whispers to Nyonika.

Raj(amused): What happened in just a few minutes?

Nyo(chuckles): Manik happened. Iss ladki ko bas wahi sambhal sakta hai.

Raj grins. Nandu comes back.

Nandu(questioned): Barbie Doll, aap dono bhi aa rahe ho na party par?

Nyo(caressed her hair): Of course aa rahe hai, baby girl.

Nandu(waves her hand): Ok bye for now. Mujhe ready hona hai.

She runs towards her house.

Manik(chuckles): At least ye aaj party ke liye ready hone mein tantrums nahi dikhayegi.

Nyonika and Raj too laugh at her while Manik explains them the incident.

Murthy Mansion

Raman was sitting in the living room and talking over a call when Nandu sits beside him, putting her head on his shoulder. Raman smiles and starts caressing her hair.

After finishing the call,

Raman(pouts): Tu mujhe 'I hate you' bolkar gayi.

Nandu(sadly): aap mujhe Manik ke bare mein bataye nahi.

Raman(upset): Tu puri baat sune bagair 'Main ghar tyag kar Himalaya ja rahi hun' chilla kar gayi. Aur woh bhi without any luggage.

Nandu(holding his chin): Ab aagayi na? Mera train Manik station se divert ho gaya.

Raman(side-hugging her): I missed you.

Nandu(resting her head on his shoulder): I missed you, too.

Ishitha who was sitting in front of them was watching their drama.

Ishita(rolling her eyes at them): 15 min nahi hue iss ladki ke 'Himalayas' gaye hue. Aur wapas aa bhi gayi. And itne time mein you both 'missed' each other.

Nandu(huffs): Aap nahi samjhoge. Aap mujhse pyar hi nahi karti.

Raman chuckles and asks both of them to get ready.

Murthy Industries

The annual party of Murthy Industries has started. Nandu who reached a little early to the venue went to Raman's cabin to relax, till her friend's arrival, as she was 'tired' of dolling up. Manik texted her about everyone's arrival. They were waiting for her to come down when they saw her descending the stairs. Soha, who caught Aryaman staring at her, went towards him.

Soha(questioned): Tum apni aankhen Nandu se hata nahi pa rahe ho na?

Arya(surprised): Soha, look around. No one is able to take their eyes off Nandu. She is looking adorable.

Soha(proudly): I know you feel for her, Aryaman. I will help you.

Arya(frowns): But..

Soha(sternly): Main kuch nahi sun rahi. Phir milenge. 

So, bahut fun ho gayi. Let's be serious for some time, I meant for some chapters. :p
