Next day, evening.

Cabir's room

Mukti comes to meet Cabir and finds him engrossed in some thoughts.

Mukti(smacking his head lightly): Cabir, kahan kho gaya.

Cabir(with a serious face): Mukti, don't disturb me. Main kuch important soch raha hun.

Mukti(frowned): And itna kya important hai?

Cabir(raising his collar): yeh ki main agar mar jayunga toh meri akhari khwaish thodi special honi chahiye na. Kyunki I am 'The Cool Cabir Dhawan'.

Mukti(glared): Khwaish ka pata nahi, tujhe agar marna hai toh I can help you.

Cabir(pouted): Mukti yaar, I am very serious.

Mukti(rolling her eyes): Acha bata kya hona chahiye tera woh special 'akhari khwaish'?

Cabir(excited): Kya hona chahiye nahi pata but kya nahi hona chahiye woh main tujhe batata hun.

Mukti(puzzled): What?

Cabir(sadly): Dekh, I don't want to regret not tasting at least a beer or vodka.

Mukti(confused): Matlab?

Cabir(declared): Matlab let's get drunk.

Mukti(rolling her eyes): Iske liye itni bakwas kyun kar raha tha. Seedhe seedhe bol deta. But the question is kaise. You know about Manik and even Abhimanyu. They won't even let us touch its bottle.

Cabir(smirked): Hum thodi na unhe batayenge. Sprite ki bottle mein vodka mix kardenge. Aur woh bottles sirf hum piyenge. Baaki sab ko pata bhi nahi chalega.

Mukti(raising an eyebrow): Nice idea. Lekin layenge kaise?

Cabir(informed): Arey abhi pool party hai na. I will go out to get some refreshments. Wahi change kardenge. Tu bhi chal mere saath.

Mukti(grinning): Done. Let me change and come.

She excitedly gets ready and they both go out. They find everyone sitting in the living room.

Abhi(surprised): Where are you both going?

Cabir(casually): We are going out for buying some refreshments and some soft drinks.

Manik(suspiciously): Tum dono? Aur woh bhi saath mein, bina jhagde? Do you want me to believe?

Mukti(innocently): Manik sach mein. I was feeling bored so thought of accompanying him. Nahi toh main is joker ke saath kyun jayungi?

Manik smilingly nods in agreement.

After one hour

Everyone gathers at the poolside and were waiting for Cabir and Mukti.

Nandu(looking around): Yeh dono ab tak aaye kyun nahi?

Abhi(frowned): Kahin beech raste jhagad toh nahi rahe.

Manik(chuckles): Or maybe apni world-class cooking skills use karke refreshments bana toh nahi rahe.

Navya(mutters): Mujhe lagta hai beech raste mein kha na le.

Dhruv(agreeing): That's possible Navya.

Alya(worriedly): I just hope they don't bring any calorie-rich food.

Everyone chuckles at her.

Soha(glaring everyone): Don't make fun of Cabir. He really is so talented.

Cabir, who just enters along with Mukti, smirks at everyone listening to Soha. Seeing him smirking, Nandu asks Soha.

Nandu(surprised): Soha, why do you like Cabir so much?

Soha(proudly): Because he always smiles.

Abhi(sarcastically): talented because he smiles. You know Soha, even I smile a lot.

Soha(gloomily): But he hides his pain behind his happy face.

Cabir(baffled): What? Which pain?

Soha(motivating him): Now stop pretending Cabir. Daro mat. Sach kabhi na kabhi toh samne aana padega na.

Navya(gritting her teeth): Ise bada pata hai tumhari sachai ke bare mein?

Cabir(frightened): Navya yaar tum rukho. And Soha tum kya baat kar rahi ho? Main kuch chipa nahi raha.

Soha(sorrowfully): Isliye tum itne bade aadmi ban gaye, Cabir. Stay strong, Cabir. Baaki sab ka nahi pata, but I will always be by your side. Party is over guys. Goodnight.

She runs towards her room without waiting for anyone. Everyone was just gaping at the direction she just went in when Harshad spoke.

Harshad(giving a faint smile): Guys, she can't see anyone sad. That's how even we became friends. For now, let me go and check her. Goodnight everyone.

Nandu(sympathetically): Take care, Harshad.

He rushes behind her. As soon as he leaves, Manik gets up and walks up to Cabir.

Manik(faking sadness): Tu itne pain mein tha, hume bataya kyun nahi, Cabir?

Mukti(bursts out laughing): Waise tu itna bada aadmi kab ban gaya?

Navya(glared): Kuch aur bhi hai jo woh janti hai and hum nahi?

Cabir(afraid): Arey Navya, aisa nahi hai. I don't even know what she was speaking.

They were teasing Cabir when they heard some laughter. Going to a corner, they find Manik and Nandu laughing at each other. Everyone nodded their heads in disbelief and went towards them.

Navya(doubtful): Nandu, tum dono has kyun rahe ho?

Seeing everyone there, Nandu stopped laughing and nudged Manik.

Manik(stammered nervously): What? Hum kahan...has...has rahe the? Tum...tum..Cabir ko dekho na. Why are you even concentrating on us?

Nandu(scolded): Shh!! Manik, maine tujhe yeh sikhaya hai kya? You shouldn't be rude to human beings.

Manik(joining his hands): Sorry, Nandu. Sorry, Navya ji. Maaf kar dijiye.

Nandu(sternly): Navya, actually hum isliye has rahe the because it's a secret and we can't tell you.

Alya(puzzled): What secret?

Nandu(laughed off): Manik, see maine bola tha na Alya bhi Cabir ke tarah secret ka meaning nahi janti.

Manik(frowning): But Nandu, tune bola hum sabko reason batayenge ki "we don't know why we were laughing". Lekin tu secret kyun bol rahi hai?

Nandu(holding her ears): Sholly Manik, main bhool gayi.

Manik(pulling her cheeks): Aww Nandu. Friendship mein no sorry, no thank you. Aur tu tho meri bachpan ki cute si special si friend hai na.

Cabir(worried): Guys, are you both ok? You are not behaving normally.

Nandu(screamed): Do you think we are abnormal?

Manik(holding her hand): Nandu, tune bola na we shouldn't be rude to human beings?

Nandu(seriously): But Manik, Cabir is not a human being.

They both burst out laughing making everyone wonder about them.

Arya(concerned): Nandu, Manik, are you both ok?

Nandu(pulling his cheeks): Aww..Arya, you know you are so cute. Matlab tum jab woh confused face banate ho na, tum bilkul baby lagte ho.

Manik(pouts): Nandu, tu kab se kisi ko baby bulane lagi?

Nandu(assured): Manik, don't worry. Main woh bachon wala baby bol rahi hun. Alya aur Dhruv wala baby nahi.

Manik(grinning): Acha, phir thik hai.

Alya(frowned): What?

Dhruv(calming her): Baby, chodo. Unhe kuch hua hai.

Cabir(smirked): Manik, tu kya jealous hai, Aryaman se?

Manik(frowning): Nandu, see. Some non-human is talking to me.

Nandu smacks Cabir's head.

Nandu(warned): Hey, non-human, stop troubling my best friend.

Abhimanyu who just realized something, walked towards Nandu and side hugged her.

Abhi(softly): Babydoll, tu thik hai? Did you drink anything?

Nandu(excitedly): Abhimanyuuuu. You know, I never told you but I really love you.

Abhi(surprised at the sudden confession): What?

Nandu(adoringly): Haan. Tum hamesha meri care karte rehte ho. Hamesha mujhe protect karte ho. Tum na mujhe mere bade bhaiyya ki yaad dilate ho.

Dhruv(casually): But Nandu, tumhara koi bada bhai nahi hai na.

Nandu starts crying.

Abhimanyu and Manik get worried.

Manik(cupping her face): Nandu bacha, kyun ro rahi hai tu?

Nandu(sniffing): Mera koi bada bhai nahi hai.

Abhi(wiping her tears): Main hoon na, babydoll. Tu ro mat.

Nandu(clapping her hands): Bhaiiiii.

She jumped on him excitedly while Abhimanyu smiled and patted her back. Realizing it's of no use to talk to Nandu, he broke the hug and decided to ask Manik.

Abhi(softly): Manik, did you drink anything odd?

Manik(grinned): Yes.

Abhi(smiled): what?

Manik: Top secret. Kisi ko mat batana. Come closer. (whispers in his ear). Nandu ne mana kiya hai. Nahi bataunga.

Arya(frowning): Abhimanyu, see these two sprite bottles are empty.

Listening to the word sprite, Mukti and Cabir gave each other a look. Cabir messaged her secretly to pretend as if they are not aware of anything. But their secret was short lived when they found Abhimanyu glaring them.

Abhi(yelled): Cabir. Tu hi yeh sprite laya na?

Cabir(scared): Trust me, Abhimanyu. Humne sirf sprite hi bola tha.

Before Abhimanyu can interrogate further they hear Manik and Nandu laughing loudly. Everyone sighed as they know their party has just started.
