Hello People. I have changed my username as it was attracting some unwanted attention. Hope it won't be a problem.

Sorry for disappearing but wattpad was having some issues. Also, I have my exams now. I am not taking a break. Instead, I will update all my stories on weekends. This schedule is for a month.

Evening

Malhotra Mansion.

Manik was getting ready and Aryaman was doing some work.

Manik(turning towards him): Aryaman, I am going out with Nandu. Do you want to join us?

Arya: No. I am fine, Manik. I have some work which I need to complete it by today. You guys carry on.

Manik smiles. Meanwhile, he gets a message on his mobile which he asks Aryaman to check as it was near him and he was setting his hair.

Aryaman(with a frown): Manik, It's from Nandu. It reads - 'She needs an escape.'

Manik: God. This girl is in trouble. She really can't keep herself out of it.

Manik grabs his mobile from Aryaman and runs from there to Nandu's home leaving a smiling Aryaman behind.

As soon as he enters Nandu's house, the morning scene was being replayed but instead of Harshad and his dad, it's Nandu's mom glaring her. Nandu looks towards Manik with a crying face to which he blinks his eyes in assurance. He goes towards her mom.

Manik(with a smile): Ishu maa, aap kab aayi?

Ishitha: Don't you dare cover her up, Manik. Sar dard karke rakha hai ladki ne. Listen Nandini, agar mere curtains ko kuch hua na, tujhe mein ghar se nikal dungi.

Nandu: Aapko mere se jyada curtains ki chinta hain? Waha vo saxena meri shadi karwana chahta tha apne bete se, aur aap curtains ke liye soch rahi ho.

Ishitha: maine bola tha na tujhe shadi karne usse? Shaadi karega bhi toh ek hi din mein wapas lana hai usne. Tujhe jhelna uski bas ki baat nahi hai.

Nandu was about to answer her back when Manik glares her and goes and side hugs Ishitha.

Manik: Maa, chodiye na. Vo log pagal hai, unse aise hi deal karna tha.

He signals Nandu to go and get ready. Meanwhile, he makes Ishita sit on the sofa and he himself kneels down in front of her.

Ishitha: Is ladki ka koi bharosa nahi hai Manik. Bachpana apna ab tak chodi nahi hai. Pata nahi kab kis musibat mein dalegi apne aap ko. Darr laga rehta beta.

Manik(holding her hand): Ishu maa. Aapko lagta hai main use kisi musibat mein padne dunga? You trust me, right?

Ishitha(cupping his cheek): Tu hai, isiliye tho hum theek hai.

Manik: Haan tho bas aap apna smile dijiye. Waise papa kahan hai?

Ishitha: office gaye hai. They needed him for something.

Manik: Even we are going out.

Ishitha: Haan. Bola tha Nandu ne. Uska mood theek karke le aana.

Nandu: Haan haan. Meri tareef mere samne bhi kar liya karo kabhi?

Ishitha: Vo tareef nahi tha. Take care you two.

They both say yes and leave.

Outside

Manik: Do you want to drive?

Nandu: How come you are allowing me to drive, today?

Manik: Because today you need this more than anything else. Forget whatever is bothering you and set the road on fire.

Nandu hugs him tightly.

Nandu(whispers): You are the best.

He breaks the hug and raises his collar with a grin.

Manik: That I am.

They both settle inside.

Nandu: Tumne koi place decide kiya hai?

Manik(with a small smile): Nahi. Just drive until you feel good. Gps ke through wapas aa jayenge.

Nandu grins widely and starts the car. She takes some random turns and as soon as she hits the highway, she races the car while Manik just patiently sits beside her waiting for her to be normal. After some time, Nandu stops the car and goes out with Manik following her. She takes few deep breaths to calm herself down before jumping on Manik for a hug. Manik patted her back for some time but soon was forced to break it, as he felt something wet on his shoulders. He saw Nandu in tears who was busy trying not to cry in front of him. He gently wipes her tears.

Manik(cupping her face): Ab mujhse bhi yeh aansu chupayegi Nandu? Let it out, girl.

He pulled her into a hug and she let out everything, hiding in his chest. With his hands around her, she couldn't think of any other place that's more safer. They broke the hug after some time. Manik gave her some water from the bottle that was inside their car. While she was drinking water, he noticed that they were almost on the outskirts of the city and hardly any vehicle was passing by. He helped Nandu settle on the bonnet of their car and he himself climbed up. Nandu rested her head on his shoulder while he took her in a side hug and started caressing her hair. After minutes of silence.

Manik(looking down at her): Ab bata bhi de.

Nandu glanced up at him once and snuggled more into the hug.

Nandu: I am tired.

Manik(confused): Tired?

Nandu(looking down): With all the Harshad's thing. You heard right, what that Saxena was saying? He was accusing me of cheating on his son with you. He was questioning my character. I don't cheat na, Manik. Even though I didn't like Harshad, I never cheated on him with any other guy. You know na, Manik.

Manik: Pagal ladki. Us insaan ke liye ro rahi thi. Teri choice itni gir gayi? Chii.

Nandu: Manikk.

Manik: What Manik? He doesn't know a thing about you. He was restless because you broke up with his son. Didn't you see, he was almost ready for that stupid marriage too. It was because of Harshad that he left from there. I guess he wants you to get married to his son by some or the other way.

Nandu: Kyun?

Nandu asked him with all her innocence that Manik had a hard time controlling his urge to burst out laughing.

Manik(Maintaining a serious expression): Umm..Maybe papa is some underworld don who is the best at smuggling some world-class diamonds and Saxena wants to steal all his diamonds.

Nandu took some time to process his answer before bursting out laughing and Manik joined her.

Manik(making her face him): agli baar se rona hai na, kisi ache insaan ke liye rona. Understood? Aur Saxena ki tension mat le. We will teach him a lesson.

Nandu nods obediently. They sit in silence for sometime before Manik breaks it.

Manik: Do you want to have pizza?

Nandu: Anytime.

Manik: Wait.

Manik gets down leaving a confused Nandu on the bonnet. He comes back with a box of pizza.

Manik(smirks): Here, Mam. Your pizza.

Nandu: Wow. When did you get this?

Manik: I thought you might be needing it after draining out your energy.

Nandu grins widely and they both have their pizza with lots of talks. After eating,

Nandu: Manik, I am feeling bored.

Manik: Mujhe bhi.

Nandu: kya karen? Call our friends na. Dekho kahan hai vo sab.

Manik makes few calls and informs Nandu that everyone is free except one.

Nandu: Are you thinking the same as me?

Manik: Like minds think alike.

Nandu: Evil minds.

And they both exchange evil grins.

Person1: Shaadi hokar itne saal ho gaye.  Aaj tak yeh nahi pata.......

Person2: I need a divorce.
