In 2001 this girl and her friend were driving home from a late movie. The girl lived in a pretty rural area in Maine, about twenty minutes away from the nearest town.

As they were driving down the highway in the woods, they'd passed a median with a car sitting in it, Facing the oncoming traffic, with all the lights off. Right after they passed it, it flashed its lights and did a 3 point turn and started driving behind them. They giggled that, "Oh, it must be a gang intention, we're gonna get murdered!" because that was Maine and that kind of stuff didn't happen.

The turnoff to her road was a few miles away and this car this car stayed behind them the whole time. They made the turn and the car  kept driving. Phew! But 30 seconds later they realized that the car must have backed up on the highway and made a turn after them. Now they were starting to worry. There one more road to turn down before they got to her house and the car did the same thing... backed up and made a left turn. Now they were freaked.

She had a long driveway and the car followed them and almost to her house, which had all the lights on because her mum was home. They ran into the house just in time to see the car back out of the driveway and drive off.

they still have no idea who was following them to this day.
