— THE next day was different for the girls, the group bugged raelynn about her very short interaction with the loved celebrity.

she was still awaiting a message from him, checking her phone every second, every hour, every minute, hoping she would see a message pop up that went along the lines of "hey it's tristan!" or something similar to it.

it was 4pm, and olivia, lyla, and amelia had begged raelynn to go to the city fair, it was an annual carnival that happened every year in the same weekend every since 1978. it was somewhere the people of the town could go to get their minds off of things, it was filled with joy and happiness as music blared through the speakers, children and adults screaming on rides, and many many chattering voices.

rae hated big crowds, she felt as if they were all watching her, but in this case she sucked it up and walked to a ride with her friends. she was wary to go on, so they reluctantly agreed to go onto a smaller ride that was simple and wouldn't make them throw up.

she checked her phone for what seemed like the hundredth time that day, only to sigh and put her phone right back in her butt pocket, sliding her friend a simple smile and then hopping on the ride, frowning at the loss of interaction with her beloved.

the ride shot up, making the four girls squeal and for lyla to grip onto raelynn, making her smile and giggle at her touch. the cart then slid down, the girls lifted their arms up in the air and they screamed and laughed at eachother, going up and down, side to side, on the roller coaster.

after that, raelynn was feeling dizzy due to the ride. olivia was to busy ranting about how fun the ride was to notice, until raelynn stumbled into someone and fell on the ground, colliding with a warm body.

she panicked, instantly attempting to regain her sight as she felt the grass and then her hand on the other person, she widened her eyes and wobbled up, reaching her hand out and finally seeing the person.

oh my god no it was tristan.

her pupils dilated, lylas jaw dropped and so did amelia's, olivia stood there in shock, while tristan grumbled and looked over at the now terrified girl.

"raelynn? i didn't know it was you.. are you okay?" he asked, grabbing her hand and standing up, opening his arms for her to stumble in.

almost immediately she fell in his arms, her sight still hazy as the screams and voices of people seemed to disappear. they were faint, muffled, and she didn't know why.

she looked up and realized she was gripping onto him, but he was holding her by the waist looking down at her, raising his eyebrows at her hand gestures.

all she could see and hear was him, she admired the way his hair shined and danced in the wind. the way his eyes glistened and sparkles when he looked at her, the way his grip was staying on her like they were about to die.

"i think i'm fine.. the ride made me a little dizzy." she told him, he let out an airy chuckle as he looked up and licked his lips, looking back and making eye contact with the mesmerized girl.

he smiled at her, flashing his white teeth. "i'm glad youre okay, i was here with my friends but they uh got lost. i can stay with you if you like?" he proposed, raelynn snapped her head around to finally see her friends, who all eagerly nodded and said "uh yeah!" almost instantly.

raelynn rolled her eyes and looked back at the black haired boy, nodding and removing herself from his arms.

he wanted to hold her longer, he frowned at the loss of his arms around her and feeling her warmth.

she grabbed his hand, interlacing them and guiding him to her friends who smiled and began asking him many questions, but not enough to get him annoyed.

he wasn't really paying attention as they walked around, his eyes mainly stayed on the girl beside him, their hands never leaving each other's.

she held his hand tightly, worried about the crowd and how her friends begged her to go on rides they knew she was scared of.

she was worried they would fall off, she's seen to many horror movies and crime shows to know that it has happened before. obviously she wasn't risking it, but since the guy she's had a crush on was here, she silently agreed and they all giggled getting on a ride that swirled them into a circle.

tristan and raelynn held hands tight, not letting go especially when the director of the ride screamed 'READY?' and a blast of screams agreeing and disagreeing came from around her, she made sure to hum her favorite song, it was a stress reliever for her.

the ride took off, and they began spinning in circles.

raelynn felt sick, as if she was about to get sick but she held it back, enduring and taking in the way the wind blew through her golden hair, how joyful and stress free everyone here sounded, she glanced at tristan only to see him looking back at her.

she shot him a smile, and he lifted the laced hands up, shaking them and smiling back at her before looking back and mentally slapping himself for not asking her out.

after the ride, the three other girls told her they would go soft on her, but then they were nowhere to be found after raelynn went to the bathroom.

tristan stayed outside, waiting for her patiently and becoming confused when the three girls giggled and ran away.

then, rae walked out and looked around for her friends, only seeing the black haired boy she seemed to care and love for.

"i think they left us.." he questioned slightly, confused but being okay with it as he was alone with her now.

she groaned and mentally cursed them, thinking about how they knew what they were doing so they left her alone with him.

they set her up.

she told him about how she wanted to get a stuffed animal or atleast something while she was here, she loved them and cherished them whenever her friends bought her a random one.

"i'm gonna go attempt to search for them, do you wanna like.. go with me?" she asked, smiling slightly at the already smiling guy.

he shook his head, saying he'd be there soon.

she agreed, turning on her heel and began weaving through the crowd, yelling her names friends and becoming slightly angry.

it wasn't until she found them 30 minutes later, they had gotten pretzels and they froze when they saw her, mid bite.

"you pigs! leaving me with him?! you think i'd ask him out? im a chicken you know this!" she mentioned, lyla spat her food out and looked at her angrily.

"YOU DIDNT ASK HIM OUT?!" she yelled, earning a few looks and glares from people walking by.

raelynn snatched her arm and shoved all three girls behind the pretzel stand, glaring daggers through them.

"you seriously didn't ask him out.why the hell lynn?" olivia whisper yelled, growing angrier by the minute. olivia had shipped them ever since they spoke, she secretly loved them together.

she even made a instagram account about them for gods sake.

"no i didn't via! i didn't think about it and we really just panicked and looked for you guys.. i don't know where he is now though." rae told them, olivia's mouth dropped and so did the other two girls, leaving rae confused.

"wha.." she was cut off when amelia shoved her around, she was met with tristan looking over and around the crowd, searching for the girls.

when he spotted her, his eyes lit up.

he had a octopus in his hands, he was holding it happily as he walked over to the girls and smiled at raelynn.

he paused and stood infront of the blonde. "i got this for you! you mentioned how much you loved stuffed animals so i-" she hugged him tight, squishing the said octopus in between them.

olivia's heart gushed, she loved seeing her bestfriend happy.

amelia squealed and looked at the two girls, all of them sharing a smirk and look before slowly backing up and watching from afar.

raelynn backed up, seeing a shocked face remarked on the black haired boys face. "thank you tris. it's really cute! i'll cherish it forever." she beamed, grabbing the octopus and bringing it in for a hug, looking back up at tristan with her innocent eyes.

he looked back at her, smiling as his heart palpated and almost bursted out of his chest. he's never felt this way for someone, he didn't know what it was. she was adorable, he liked her and cared for her. he felt like he was bonded with her, if someone were to hurt her he'd be her protector. he felt obligated to be there for her, to hold her when she felt upset.

he loved her already.

"yeah- of course." he managed to stutter out, rolling his eyes at his own self.

THE group of teens parted ways, only olivia and lyla being able to go over to raelynns house since amelia and tristan went home.

as soon as rae stepped foot into her moms car, a message popped up on her phone, she instantly clicked on it and a smile formed on her face.
