I was in a field, the picture blurred at the edges. Was I dreaming? The sky was filled with reds, pinks and oranges, it cast an almost ethereal feel. The grass beneath my webbed feet was greenish-orange with the skylight shining on it. There was a river. I was beside the river, I seemed to be waiting for something. I saw a blur of movement and then-

"Crash snap out of it." A voice whipped me back into reality. I shook my head trying to remember where I was. Cobra sat next to me, her harmless tail jabbed into my back. "Crash, you've been staring into space for the entire lesson, we have to go to our cave now. Copper and the others are waiting." It surprised me that she mentioned Copper specifically. Did she know something I didn't? Cobra wrapped her tail around my neck and started walking forward. I gagged as she moved forward. "If you don't want to choke, I suggest you start walking now." Cobra seemed cold but when I looked at her, there wasn't a hint of it in her eyes. As I started to walk her tail loosened its grip on me.

"So.... Did you talk to Moose yesterday?" Cobra looked at me.

"No. I just received a letter from her." Cobra was blushing slightly.

"I got a letter from someone.."

"Was it from C-" she stopped herself, probably remembering something. "Forget I said that. Forget I ever said that." I lowered my ears in confusion.

"Okay..."

"So who do you think it is from?"

"I don't know, I only know two dragons with a name starting with C... You and Copper."

"I said forget I said that! Please! Just forget! Please! For me?"

"Okay.." I sounded disappointed.

"Here's a thought... Do you like Copper?" My cheeks felt like they had been roasted off.

"WHAT?! HOW CAN YOU THINK THAT?! I HAVE A CRUSH ON COPPER, WHAT?! NO. NO SIREE THANK Y-YOU." But the damage had been dealt.

"Crash, just admit it."

"I-I... But I... Don't..."

"Everyone knows.."

"EVERYONE?! Everyone knows.. what?"

"Crash I swear I think you've been put under a 'I-have-no-idea-what-is-so-obvious-that-even-I-should-know' spell"

"I..."

"You....?"

"Does..does.. Copper know?" I felt like crying. How did I not know this when everyone else had? Cobra looked at me.

"No. We've been keeping it secret from him."

And then from behind a pillar, Slug smirked.
