When I awoke the next morning in the cave, there was the smell of fish and a pink heart-shaped card at my feet. I opened it and blushed scarlet. Inside it read: Hello, Crash Tube, I hope you enjoy the fish, I caught it myself, you have no idea how I nervous I am writing this, I'm not used to writing to my crush.. Anyway... Love, Anonymous. I didn't recognize the hand pawing but I could sense the nervousness before I read it. Well, Sea Slug was right about one thing, someone does like me. I nibbled on the fish, it was delicious, but what I didn't notice the amber eyes staring at me from outside.

A while later, Copper was walking beside me. His eyes avoided mine. His orange red scales barely not touching my green ones. I had completely forgotten the tension and nervousness that had settled like a fog. Then Cobra raced in front of us but I wasn't scared, her tail could do no harm. "Crash and Copper, Crash and Copper! Look at this!" She flung a piece of paper in my face and I caught it. It read: Dear Cobra, uh... I... Friend.... I..., signed Moose. "Senpaii noticed me! She noticed me!"

"Yeah, she...did...." I handed back the letter and Cobra raced off. Copper turned to me.

"So... Do you... uh... Have a Valentine?" The question caught me off guard, and I stopped. I looked at him, he was still avoiding my gaze.

"Well... I got a letter." Copper seemed intrigued and he got the courage to look at me. I passed him the letter, and when he read it he blushed and quickly gave it back.

"T-that's wonderful, d-do you k-know w-who it is?" He looked at me, frightened. I quickly looked over the letter again.

"No, no, I have no idea."

"Do you want it to be someone you want it to be?"

"I... Kinda." I surprised myself

Copper's POV

I blushed and looked away. I couldn't bring myself to look at her. I moved a little away, and she looked at me funny. Great Moons, I'm pathetic. "You... Do?" She nodded

"I... Do..." I could tell she was surprising herself. I looked at her. She walked a bit forward, pacing slightly.

"Does that mean..... What I think it means?"

"Maybe..."

"Does it mean you like someone?" Crash Tube jumped back surprised.
