Souls of the dead travel to the Hall of Death, where they are determined by a goddess whether or not they are worthy of entering the Afterlife.

Those who successfully enter the afterlife are given the choice to start a new life, losing their memories of their old life in the process, or remain in the afterlife.

Those who do not succeed and are determined unworthy are eaten by the goddess.

I have no idea what that is.
