so uh fun fact one of his spear's forms is a scythe head. because i said so. scythes are cool.

also! I gave them all various Casual Clothes since their Character Specific Outfits are Special and you can only get so much customization in hero forge 

oh yeah also drawing skills are shit when it comes to humans so I used Hero Forge for everyone except Kevin and Ani

anyways it turns out there's a very good reason nightmare's wanted

he's just a bit of a serial murderer. just a little. just a tad bit. jus a lil

He's very good too. He knows how to clean up evidence. Of course he's been doing this for several decades so it would be kind of embarrassing for him and JR if he didn't and was still at large

This results in most cases with very little evidence being blamed on him and it pisses him off.

To his credit Dream always makes sure a murder actually WAS done by Nightmare before adding it to his list of murders.

Most of the multiverse believes he died 50-60 years ago, or that he never existed to begin with. i mean let's be honest who tf lives for 120+ and still has the energy and vigor to commit gruesome murders. an immortal apple child 

he knows....a lot of creative ways to kill someone. too many.

besides the murder he acts a lot like normal DS Nightmare, but there's something just slightly off about him.

His nickname is Pluto by the way. little tiny man <333 but actually it's because Pluto is the roman god of the underworld and little nerdy braincell loves symbolism

Ready for his and Dream's tragic backstory

the villagers actually worshipped dream. almost literally. We'll get into that more in Dream's part but for now we'll say it fucked him up long term

And they all thought Nightmare was an actual demon and hated him. he dealt with ok for a while, and by dealt with it i mean he didn't snap immediately

it took a while

in fact it took until someone outright attacked him when he was a young adult and he accidentally killed them in self defense

At first he freaked out because oh fuck they're all going to be after him now, but then he thought '....actually....you know what? I could just. Get rid of them all. They've been nothing but horrible to me. I could just be rid of them.' He starts one by one. At some point he considers eating the magic apples so he could do it faster, but by the time he'd decided to actually do it Dream was already eating them and turning into Big Bird. 

He was a little upset but he managed to grab a positive one for himself, and he might've caused a massacre. just a little one.

There were some survivors though and some of them split off from the rest and started a new 'faction' of the Apple Cult or whatever. This one worships Nightmare. He knows nothing of this.

oh also Kevin. Kevin's actually a literal demon chicken. If you feed him pie he could actually destroy the planet, but he likes Nightmare so as long as Nightmare's around you should be safe. 

Nightmare's told Cross and Error that Kevin's a demon but they don't think he means it literally
