There is only one reason why Mark hates going to this place. He hates that he has to leave. Mark had started volunteering at an asylum, for the insane and the mentally disturbed. He has always found it fascinating to see how people think when they are like that. It is almost the same as it in in movies, people in straight jackets, people scratching at the wall, and so on. None of it scared Mark though, he just got more interested and that is why Mark has been working here for about a month.

One inmate has stuck out in particular to the brown eyed man. His name was Ethan and he has brown and blue hair, and beautiful bright blue eyes eyes that hide so many mysteries. Mark always talks to Ethan whenever he can, he is just so intrigued by the man. Ethan is a few years younger than Mark but that doesn't bother Mark at all. Mark gets snapped out of his thoughts when he sees movement, he looks up at Ethan. He is in Ethan's room. The room is just white and there is a door that blends in with the room. There is a bed where Ethan is currently sitting. Mark sits up straighter in his chair and smiles at Ethan. "How are you today Ethan?" Mark watches as Ethan just stares at something that he can't see. Ethan looks at Mark and smiles a huge smile that would make the Joker himself jealous.

Mark looks at Ethan and scans his body with his eyes. Ethan is pretty tall. He is thin and his cheeks are sunk in but Mark's favorite things about Ethan was his hair and eyes. Ethan starts mumbling to himself in the corner of the room. Ethan puts his back against the wall and rests his head against the wall as he looks up at the ceiling. Ethan starts laughing and Mark has found his favorite noise. Mark doesn't know what Ethan is laughing at but he doesn't care. Mark starts chuckling too, because of Ethan's contagious laughter.

Ethan suddenly stops and Mark looks at the blue haired man in confusion. Ethan's eyes start getting wide and he looks at Mark with a scared look on his face. Mark's breathing stops for a second and he can feel his heart doing the same. Ethan starts breathing heavily and Mark stands up and goes over to Ethan and sits next to him, Ethan continues looking at Mark with wide eyes and his breathing rapid. Mark rubs Ethan's back. "Ethan? Ethan, what's wrong?" Mark asks worriedly. The blue eyed mans eyes start filling up with tears and he mumbles, "They want to kill m-me." Tears fall from Ethan's eyes and Ethan puts his head on Mark's shoulder and hugs Mark while he cries. "Who wants to kill you Ethan?"

"She does."

"Who is she?"

"She is..." Ethan replies and points at a different part of the room, Mark looks over and sees nothing. Mark looks back at the fragile boy in his arms, "No one is here to hurt you Ethan, besides I would never let anyone hurt you." Mark reassures Ethan. Ethan's breathing calms down but the tears aren't slowing down much.

Ethan jumps and so does Mark when there is banging on the door and a guard opens the door. He is tall and muscular. He has green eyes and brown hair, "Time to go Mark." He says as he glares at Ethan. Mark nods sadly and starts moving away from Ethan. Ethan panics and grabs onto Mark and starts sobbing louder, "P-please d-d-don't go!" Ethan screams. Mark tries to get Ethan off of him explaining he has too but Ethan won't let go so the guard comes over and forcibly pulls Ethan off of Mark and throws Ethan onto the ground, where Ethan continues crying. "Don't hurt him!" Mark yells at the guard. The guard moves away from Ethan and pushes Mark out of the room, "I will be back Ethan, I promise! I won't let them hurt you again!" Mark yells as the door closes. He starts walking away from the door and he starts hearing banging and screaming and Mark's heart breaks into millions of pieces. He feels like he is going to cry, but he keeps walking as he hears the yelling and screaming fade. He hates leaving but he has too.

A tear rolls down Mark's face when he can't hear the screams and cries anymore.

Mark hates leaving this place, he hates leaving Ethan alone.

But what can he do? Nothing.
