'Shivaay, relax! You don't have to be so nervous!', Anika said as she squeezed his hand a little.

'I'm not nervous!', he denied right away.

'Seriously? Anyone here can tell that you're getting nervous! Look at your face, all the color has been drained out. We're just going to meet the doctor not going for a battle at Kashmir border!', she chuckled at her own joke.

'That's a very bad joke!', he rebuked right away but still chuckled upon seeing her giggling.

'Yeah it may be a bad joke, but you're calmer now! Magic worked! I'm a magician actually!', she expressed while doing her infamous logic sign.

Shivaay just shook his head disbelievingly. She is the only person he knows who can laugh at her own pathetic jokes and praise herself  for being something which she is not. Even though deep down he knows and admits that she has brought a lot of magic in his life but he takes extra caution to never ever utter it to her. Otherwise she'll be extra proud of herself and start throwing tadi everywhere.

'Mrs.Oberoi, you're next!', the staff nurse called upon bringing Shivaay back from his thoughts cloud. 

 They got up and headed towards Dr.Zara's cabin. Shivaay, like a gentleman he's always been opened the door for her and held it with a smile. Anika entered the cabin and a bright smile formed on her face as soon as she saw Dr.Zara. Shivaay followed her in next.

'Good morning Mrs.Anika, welcome and wow! Mr.Oberoi is here with you as well!', she exclaimed as soon as she saw Shivaay.

'Morning doctor, I'm Shivaay Singh Oberoi!', Shivaay introduced himself as he forwards his hand for a handshake.

'I'm Dr.Zara Khan Sharma!', she introduced herself as she shakes her hand with him.

'Sharma?!', Anika thought out loud.

'It's my husband's surname!', Dr.Zara revealed.

'Wah! What a coincidence! Even my maiden surname is Sharma! Anika Sharma!', she exclaimed excitedly.

'If your name talks is over, can we get into the check-up? You're taking up so much time...', before Shivaay could complete his sentence, she rebuked right away.

'Taking too much of your time? Oh hello! I didn't ask you to come with me! You insisted to tag along. And now you're saying that I'm taking up your time! Great! Bagad Billa!', she retaliated. 

'Anika, I was about to say you are taking up too much of the doctor's time not mine!', Shivaay cleared the mess in a ever calm tone as he knows that it's her pregnancy hormones boosted up.

'Oh, okay! Why hadn't you say it any earlier huh?', she asked again. 

'You reacted before I could complete my sentence. If you noticed!', Shivaay informed her slightly sarcastic this time around.

'Haan, misunderstandings happen! Now see who's taking up too much of the doctor's time!', Anika decided to end the topic as she knows that if she started an argument on this, she will be the one to loose badly.

Dr.Zara could just smile at the way the young couple in front of her were fighting. It reminded her of her husband.

'You know what? Even my husband and I used no not used still have argument over petty things like this! I think these arguments are one of the key elements in keeping your relationship alive and healthy!', she exclaimed making Shivaay and Anika to be slightly embarrassed as they just argued in front of their gynecologist.

'Alright, so Mrs.Anika, any changes from the last time we had met that you noticed?', Dr.Zara asked her.

'Her appetite's increased drastically. Her morning sickness has no changes  even after taking the medicines. She is still throwing up every morning. Not just every morning but basically almost after every meal. The only meal that she doesn't throw up is Dahi vada and guava but she doesn't take it often. Her heartburn problem is reducing these days but instead of that she's began to complain about bloating. And yes, her mood swings have become a little more unpredictable!', he said it all in one go and smiled innocently in the end. 

Anika's jaw dropped to the ground. She knows that he cares a lot for her but up to this extent is something new to her. Dr.Zara smiled and took note of whatever Shivaay told earlier.

'Anything you would like to add Mrs.Anika?', she questioned Anika. 

Anika just shook her head slowly into a no still being in a little shock at Shivaay's deep observation on her. All the minute details like Dahi Vada and the guava part which she never noticed before. She can certainly call herself the luckiest to be getting a husband like him.

'Okay then, let's check your weight and have a sonography done just to make sure the growth of the baby is normal. Come!', Dr.Zara said as she got up from her seat towards the weighing scale there and at once signed her staff nurse to come in for her help.

She gained 2 pounds from her last visit which seemed to be normal as a healthy woman with a normal BMI should gain 1 pound a week. Then, the sonography procedure was begun. Shivaay stood by next to her holding her right hand as Dr.Zara begin the procedure. The eyes of all three of them were glued to the screen in the hope to see the little soul growing inside of Anika.

'Oh!', Dr.Zara exclaimed as she re-looked at the screen a little surprised.

Shivaay and Anika panicked a little upon hearing her shriek.

'Is everything fine Dr.Zara?', Shivaay asked right away. The tinge of concern was very obvious in his voice when he raised the question.

'Well, actually, I seriously have no idea how I missed this out the last time. But better late than never!', she said out increasing the curiosity in both of them. Both of them looked at her worriedly. Dr.Zara noticed that her statement has created unwanted tension for this young couple and decided to spill the beans. 

'Do you see that the amniotic sac here?', she paused to see if Shivika could see it or not. When they nodded in agreement, she went on. 'Now can you see the second sac behind it?', she again paused for their confirmation. They nodded again. 'Well, this is your surprisingly unplanned child. Congratulations!', she wished them both.

'Surprisingly unplanned child?', Anika repeated her word not understanding what Dr.Zara has said.

'OH! Are you saying? (Dr.Zara nodded in agreement!). OH MY GOD!!!', Shivaay exclaimed being delighted beyond words.

'I still don't get it! What is this surprisingly unplanned child? Shivaay, do you care to explain!', She demanded for an explanation.

'Offo, don't you understand such a simple statement? Anika its twins! We're having twins!', he exclaimed enthusiastically.

Anika yelped in shock. She couldn't believe her ears. the pregnancy news itself is a huge surprise for her and now this twins revelation is nothing less than a huge blessing for her. She thanked God first and Dr.Zara as well for letting her know this. This is her first motherhood experience and she's getting a bonus child. As soon as she composed herself and got up from the sonography bed, Shivaay engulfed her into a warm hug. He never once thought that the girl whom he wanted to reject for marriage will be the love and the meaning of his life who is about to bring two more bundle of joys into their life.

They broke the hug and went towards their seat to finish of the appointment and hence getting the next date of their visit. Dr.Zara had changed Anika's prescription a little as she's now pregnant with not just one but two babies. Anika dreaded when she thought that she has to take extra medicines now but Dr.Zara informed her that one dosage of prenatal supplements is actually enough for a mother pregnant with twins. the only thing that she has to double up is the amount of food that she's consuming.

'I'll look after that! Don't worry Dr.Zara!', Shivaay claimed at once.

Both the ladies couldn't help but to smile at his strong claim. After getting some vital information from Dr.Zara, both of them thanked the kind doctor and left being really happy with the little surprise they begot.
