It has been a week since Shivika got the breaking news. They have been keeping it a secret just to surprise their families when the babies come. Shivaay has been taking extra care of Anika along with Khanna. He was the only other person to know about the twins. Ever since Dr.Zara had informed them that Anika needs to take more calories a day, Shivaay has been feeding her with all his might.

'Shivaay please! I just ate one hour ago!', she cribbed when he handed over a plate of toast with fruit salad.

'Okay, at least have these fruits!', he said as he passed the bowl of fruit salad.

'Shivaay! I'm already having vomiting sensations and my stomach has been extremely full for the past three days! If I ate any of these, then I swear I will not be able to sleep! Please!', Anika literally begged to her husband.

'So what am I supposed to do with these? I already made them!', he said as he looked down at the food.

'Eat it up yourself!', she commented with a huge grin.

'Huh? But it's too much!', Shivaay said as he looked down at the plate.

'Now you realize it's too much! But that's okay, try your best! You surely can eat them up!', Anika instructed as her hands found their way to her hip.

'Okay fine!', Shivaay complied to her but couldn't eat them up. He looked up at her with a sad puppy face.

'Just chuck them in the fridge! We'll eat it for breakfast. Don't make that puppy face! I hate it when you do that!', she reprimanded him.

He grinned widely and went ahead to snuck the food inside the fridge. They were watching some random movie on the TV while cuddling up. By the end of the movie, Anika had slept on his lap. Shivaay turned off the TV and carried her carefully towards their room and tucked her into the bed ever gently. He placed a warm kiss on her forehead and tummy.

'Good night Anika! And good night babies!', he whispered softly to not disturb her sleep and went off into a deep slumber himself.

It was nearly 4 in the morning when Anika suddenly got up as she felt uneasy. It was as if something was wrong. She opened up her eyes to find Shivaay in a deep slumber. She didn't want to disturb his sleep and decided to get up for a walk to the kitchen for some water. But when she lifted the comforter from herself, the sight in front of her stopped her heart for a moment.

She was BLEEDING. That was why she got up.

'SHIVAAY!', she screamed his name in fear as she tapped on his arms to wake him up.

'Huh? What happened Anika?', he got up panicked at her high pitched voice.

When he realize that her eyes were fixed upon something on the bed, he turned to look at it. His heart sank as he saw that.

'Ani!', he called her out as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

'Shiv, our babies! Our babies! Shiv!', she was repeating this two words only being in a trance as tears began to stream down her cheeks.

'Nothing will happen to the babies! I'm getting the ambulance right away!', he informed her as she began breaking down.

Shivaay called up the ambulance right away. He knew that Anika is in an extremely vulnerable state right now. Either of them has to be strong and it is up to him now. It's between breaking down along with her or getting her to the hospital right away. He chose to be strong. For Anika and his babies.

'Anika, keep calm, all will be fine okay! Stop crying!', Shivaay calmed her down as he held her in his arms.

'Please save the babies Shivaay!', she sobbed in his arms holding him tighter.

She was getting weak due to the entire situation and her non-stop cries were making her condition worse. Just then the ambulance arrived. Shivaay scooped her in his arms as she continued sobbing. Her situation was beyond control. Nevertheless, Shivaay carefully brought her down and get her on the stretcher.

'Shivaay!', Anika called out to him as their hand hold was broken as the ward boys pushed the stretcher into the ambulance.

'I'll be right behind you!', he assured her and got into his car swiftly. He dashed through the roads to ensure that he arrives in the hospital before she does. And he managed to get earlier by a few minutes.

When the stretcher was pulled down, Shivaay was by her side again. She reached out to him and he quickly grabbed her hand.

'Don't worry Ani! I'm here with you! Nothing will happen!', he assured her as they rushed her into the emergency ward.

Again, their hand hold was broken when Anika was brought into the ward for doctor's inspection. Only then did he finally broke down a little. He was being strong for the both of them really long. He was a human afterall. He also felt the pain of losing the babies. He also felt broken.

Flashes of image began running through his mind. He remembered the time when Anika informed him about her pregnancy. The moment when he first touched her tummy with the babies. The announcement they made. Their little little arguments over food. The way he held her close to him after her throwing up sessions. Their first sonography. The twins news. Everything was running wildly on his mind.

As the years rolled down his eyes, he fell on his knees and looked up. He knows that God is his only hope now. He wiped his tears off and rushed to the small temple in the hospital. He rang the bell and knelt down in front of the small Bappa statue.

'Bappa! I've never asked anything from you in my entire life. You've always been so merciful on me. You gave me the best parents and family in the world. You gave me a wonderful wife and even two angels as my babies. And I've always been grateful to you in all manner! Please don't take them away! Please! Keep my babies safe! Please! I beg of you!', Shivaay bared his heart out in front of Bappa.

After a while of praying, he left to check out on Anika. The doctor came out of the room while instructing soemthing to the nurse. Shivaay rushed to her right away. It wasn't Dr.Zara but someone else on duty that early morning.

'Doctor, how is my wife right now?', he enquired.

'Ah, Mr.Oberoi, it's nothing to worry. She just had normal bleeding. It is quite common in the case of twins pregnancy. We will just get her a better diet plan and yes, both the babies and the mother to be are safe and sound. So relax. You can go and meet her now. Anyhow, Dr.Zara will get back to her later and she can be discharged after that!', the doctor informed him.

Shivaay thanked God hearing the doctors words and thanked her as well. He rushed right away into the ward to find her sleeping. He slowly crept up to her taking the seat on the chair next to her bed and took her hand in his. He rested his chin on the edge of her bed as he looked at her. Slowly he brought her hand to caress her hair. She flinched as his warm fingers brushed her forehead and opened her eyes right away.

'Shivaay!', she called him out and a week smile curved up on her lips.

'Sleep Anika! Sleep!', he instructed her gently.

She complied right away. Shivaay brushed her hair and dozed off next to her on the chair itself after a while. It was one hell of an incident which nearly got them to feel so much of pain. It was as if their soul was ripped off from their body. Finally, after hearing that the babies are safe, both their souls returned safe and sound. Giving a huge relief to them.
