Back then, I only thought that that was the only time Papyrus would lash out at me like that, but I was wrong.

That was only the beginning.

Papyrus changed his look to appear more dark and intimating, to enforce his image and to have a look that could kill.

Of course, he made me change up my style too. He made me show my one glowing red eye, which I used to only show when in a major battle. Papyrus said that if he didn't want to be kicked out of the Royal Guard, he wouldn't except having a wimpy-looking brother.

From how I saw it, he wanted to be sure I looked almost as scary as he did, so I wouldn't get jumped by other monsters.

In a way, he was looking out for me.

Anyways, using my eye takes a lot of my energy away, that's why I only used it in battles that mattered. But this was Papyrus we are talking about, my brother is my brother and if he wanted me to let my eye show, then I'd show it. If he wanted me to jump, I'd ask how high.

I'd do anything for my brother, even if it killed me.

Determination like that gets you nowhere of you show it, at least from my experience. If I told my bro my little moral speech, he'd tell me that I'm a monster scout and chuck me at the wall. It's not fun, trust me, I still have a small chunk of my spine missing.

That was from me asking my bro why wasn't calm, nothing got under his skin. He then made the rule of no dumbass puns, or there would be a punishment.

Yeah, Papyrus started making these small rules, at first nothing big, but as he became Head of the Royal Guard, the rules came and were more enforced.

1. Follow curfew, which is 8:30 pm

2. No talking to other weak monsters, unless in battle or having to order something.

3. Always go to sentry station at 6:00 am

4. Don't fall asleep at sentry station

5. Don't eat at sentry station

6. No puns

Yadda, yadda, yadda, you get the bullshit.

Papyrus always took these rules seriously, if any were broken, then Id be 'punished', as in thrown into a wall and no dinner.

It was how life was, I didn't disobey my bro, no matter how much I wanted to. Even when he forced me to call him 'boss' all the time, I still gave my respect.

If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to keep an eye socket on him.
