The Surface at Last
Suna nearly felt like screaming. The resets were what they were trying to stop, yet they'd reset again! She huffed in frustration. "I'm not giving up." She left the house and went around back to the machine. "I'm not giving up on you, Wingdings." Once more, she set to work. "figured you were down here. so, no more resets huh? frisk can finally break the barrier and everyone gets their happy ending." She nodded. "It will be everyone once we get your father back."
"AND WE WILL. JUST DON'T WORK YOURSELF INTO ANOTHER COMA MOTHER." Sans grinned, Papyrus frowned. "DON'T YOU DARE.."
"why don't you coma upstairs and have some breakfast." He winked as Suna giggled and Papyrus groaned. "WHY!"
"it was funny. seriously though, i'll come down with you after breakfast and help out before sentry duty." Well, she didn't want to neglect her sons over work. "Very well. Let's go eat then. What's for breakfast?"
"SPAGHETTI!" She should've known.

Sans had been throwing puns out all breakfast. Suna and Papyrus both knew he was extremely happy. Papyrus allowed them for the simple fact that Sans was indeed very happy,, and picked up on the mood himself. It wasn't hard for him to. Suna was happy that her sons were happy. She basked in it. Breakfast ended almost to soon, but she didn't want Wingdings to be separated from them longer than he already has. Sans had the same impression and went more serious. "i'll be back for patrol, bro."
"GOOD LUCK! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SAYING THIS, BUT REMEMBER TO REST!"
"We will, Papyrus." Suna promised. "i know i will." She huffed. "Sans.." She couldn't stop the smile that splayed on her teeth though. "My first and last pacifist route. I'm excited."
"oh yeah, it's always fun getting your soul taken by an evil flower/goat prince incarnate." Her head snapped to Sans. "What?!" He shrugged. "no spoilers." He laughed, disappearing down the stairs into his lab. Had she heard that right?

Sans and Papyrus left to meet Frisk for the final time. From what Suna got, she wouldn't be getting much help until after the barrier was broken. That was ok, but the progress was going to be way slower. She should have asked how long it took before they left. She sighed. It was to late now. She fidgeted with her necklace. "Please wait a little while longer, Wing." She murmured as she crouched down and started yet again.

She'd fallen asleep. Sans or Papyrus must have found her and brought her up, because she woke up on the couch. It'd been dreamless. Thank the stars for that. It seemed neither of her sons were home though. "Out with Frisk, most likely." She decided. She wanted to get to work, but personal care was important too. She made herself something to eat, then washed up. Was there a point if she was just going to get dirty working on the machine? Probably not, but it was nice nonetheless. Once she'd changed and slipped on her jewelry, she went back to work on the machine. She heard the door open to outside. "Coming to help? I thought you might still be with Frisk-" Vines took hold of her, digging into her bones. She struggled and fought against them, but she'd let her guard down. She was trapped.

She was furious as herself, her friends, and her family were dangled before Frisk like prizes. Lucky for him, he was smart enough to keep her teeth covered. Toriel and Asgore would be so disappointed if they'd known that this was their son. Things got.. crazy.. from there. While Frisk fought flowey, Suna fought to free herself. "relax mom. don't forget we've been through this. frisk's got this." Sans said. She stopped struggling. "SOON HE'LL GO FROM THIS GIANT MONSTER TO PRINCE ASRIEL AND WELL.. I DON'T REALLY KNOW FROM THERE. THINGS GET FUZZY. LONG STORY SHORT, FRISK WILL SPARE HIM, HE WILL BREAK THE BARRIER, FAMILY REUNION, SURFACE."
"What..?" Toriel asked. Suna trusted her sons. If they believed Frisk would do it, she believed it as well.

Static filled her mind. All Suna could think about was her lost husband, her dead clan. They haunted her. She wanted away. Away from these thoughts and feelings of despair. Where were her sons? Where was her family? Her broken family.. "Suna!" Who..? "Don't give up hope! Stay determined!" This was.. the human.. "Grey door man needs you!" Grey door man..? "Wing!" She snapped out of.. whatever that was. Sans and Papyrus was awake as well. "welcome back mom."
"READY TO HELP FRISK OUT?" Suna looked to the child who was trying to wake up Alphys. Then to- "That's Asriel?!" He didn't look like no child. "that's his hyperdeath form. he's much smaller in his true form."
"So.. how do we help Frisk out."
"SUPPORT! YOU CAN DO THIS FRISK!" Sans gave a silent thumbs up. "..." Was it betraying her clan, supporting a human? Eh. Times have changed. She didn't want to hate humans forever. "You've got this, you stay determined too, Frisk!" Suna encouraged.

Suna couldn't remember the last time she saw a sunset. If only Wingdings could be here to see this. At least her sons were. She looked at Sans, who smiled contently, and Papyrus, who's eyes sparkled with joy. For some reason, this spot reminded her of the hill. Her hill at her old home. Minus the flowers and grass, it was a beautiful view with the ocean on the one side and a human city on the other. It looked larger than the last time she'd saw it nearly 30 years ago. She wasn't going down there without her husband. She turned ubruptly and started back into the Underground. "H-hey wait-"
"don't bother. she's not leaving without him." Sans followed after her. Alphys realized what Sans was talking about and skittered after them, Papyrus and Undyne behind them. Finally Toriel, Asgore, and Frisk followed, confused.
