"I somehow felt you were around in the party last night. Why do you think I had such a strange feeling?" Hiss! Cold sweat was forming on my back when I saw the look in her eyes.

Alarming's eyes, right now, contained such ferocity yet double the restraint.

What is happening? Why is she suddenly questioning me?

Was my – was my doubt –

No, it can't be!

"Isn't it because your heart yearned for me? Alarming, you don't look like it but you have such crave for me huh!" I grinned like a roadside Romeo and teased her with a greasy eyebrow dance.

Yes, she must really be expecting me in the party but since I couldn't attend, she was extremely disappointed.

That's right! That should be the case. She shouldn't have guessed my ident- No chance!

But then again, somehow, my heart felt a piercing pain of disappointment and anxiety when I thought of her expecting me in the party.

"Is that so?" Alarming narrowed her eyes at me and shrugged with a 'maybe'.

"Now, what do you have to talk about the latest intel we got from SkyGod? I need your honest and expertized reviews on it." Breathing in relief inwardly, I gave her my most well-wishing smile before giving her the review and conclusions.

"One, their software system is not an ultimate one. For every catastrophe they created, they used unbelievable number and amount of resources which is almost impossible to get them at will. So, the flow of the resources is not consistent and smooth." Although the report we got is the most basic one, one with discerning can easily catch the big fish from such small waters.

"They will need a lot of monetary and civil support to get such resources. I wonder how they managed until now." Alarming frowned as she closely looked at the report.

"That's the thing." I continued. "Either they have their people in influential positions and hoarding money from scams or they have already stocked the resources or both. In either case, this thing is both advantageous and disadvantageous to us."

"In any case, their system performance cannot catch up to their resources and sourcing the resources is a time taking task for them. Now, this short time is the time to strike if we wish to."

Seeing Alarming nod without interrupting me, I felt that her professional manner is such a turn on. When she is down to her work and doing things so professionally, any curved thing should stand up in attention.

Such a Lotus she is!

"Two, once they use up their energy in creating one catastrophe, they need a very long time to create the next one. The main important notable issue here is, once they use their energy to either create a disaster or stop a disaster, if my guess is not wrong, all their networks and systems will shut down through the globe for a period of time depending on the size of disaster they dealt with. Now, this is the most prominent time for them to focus all their strength on acquiring new companies, technologies, monetary support, resources and most importantly, making influential acquaintances."

Thanks to the data provided by Alarming, one thing is clear, SkyGod is not as omnipotent as it showed itself to be. It's just that they are too cautious and to handle them, to trip them, we have to wait for the right time, right place and right method.

Otherwise, it'll be all effort for no fruit.

"So, they will definitely need some time to show their hands again." She said tapping her finger on the table with a thoughtful frown.

I did not disturb her and just enjoyed her serious look. She is normally gorgeous but while working seriously, she is beyond ethereal.

So damn divine!

"For now, I will share the data and your report to the NIO and see what have to say about."

"Alarming, if you ask me, it is better for us to focus on their suppliers and partners first. Let's not act and just gather as much information as possible and wait for the right time to catch the whole herd once and for all." I shared earnestly.

If the person planted by her in SkyGod is capable enough, more data and more important data will be flowing in which even NIO is unable to get until now.

Just this itself is enough to tell how capable and meticulous she is. So as to not waste her efforts, planning the whole thing carefully is more important.

"Do you think they will get their resources from legal means? I've been trying to track down their illegal supply channels but always encountered a dead end. What do you think about it?"

"Umm, maybe we should try looking into authorized channels as well. It is a misconception that such businesses will only have illegal suppliers but there are a few over-smart people who has dealing in authorized lawful manner without leaving no stone unturned. Although the resources quantity is huge, there are still many loopholes that can be used to coverup small issues."

People from SkyGod, who are overly smart and know a little about human psychology, do exactly what they are not expected to.

We usually think that all they do is illegal affairs which is true but the difference is, they do illegal and harmful businesses but in the most legal way possible.

One, they will have proof to show that their every purchase, every sale and every move is accounted for and two, they get stuff in considerably lesser price than illegal markets.

This is also one of the reasons why getting proofs against SkyGod and catching their higherups is so tough. They planned everything so well that they sorted out a solutions for every problem beforehand.

"They don't waste any time and effort, do they?" Alarming scoffed and then raised her head to scrutinize me. "You derived all this from such basic data?"

Ahem! You shouldn't ask such questions!

"As one in charge of the project, I've been having my eyes and ears open so a bit of information here and there and the recent data you provided, I could conclude a few things." If I were her, I would completely believe what I said.

Please don't ask anything else! I don't want to lie to you anymore!

"Such hardworking and ever-so-cautious man you are. For a second there I almost thought that either you are a part of SkyGod team or a part of officers who are investigating them." Alarming snickered and said those so casually that my flimsy shirt and pant got wet from the sweat.

I could literally feel the myself shaking like a leaf in the wind.

Now I'm sure that she has some suspicion on me. Her casual remarks are more than enough to hint me that she knew or at least she has her doubts.

I cannot deceive myself anymore.

I need to clear her doubts and divert her thoughts from me – nay – from my identity.

"You are right. I'm a secret agent of love, an undercover cupid and an officer of your heart." When did I become like this?

Haye!

"Then, beware, I might be an undercover Diana planning to use your own arrows to hunt you." Ouch!

Despite the nervousness, I maintained my persona and continued to flirt with her. If it is any other time and any other place, I wouldn't do it but since I'm Uno Mayhem, I can experience the feel of flirting with the one whom I lo- Nevermind!

"Ah, no matter who uses them, my arrows with only generate passion. Alarming, why don't you be a little divine lotus and hunt me with beautiful and fragrant passion!" I suggested leaning forward on the table and took her hand into mine.

The feeling of toughing her... incomparable!

It's only very recently that I realized how good it is to touch her and what happiness it brings to me.

"Arrows of passion? How about arrows of 'get over yourself'?" She scoffed yet again muttering something to herself.

However, in the middle of it I heard words like 'deceit', 'talent', 'unexpected', 'liar' and couldn't understand what she is mumbling about.

Alarming just casually gifted me a glance meaning I-know-what-is-going-on-with-you and did not respond back to my flirting.

Hey, this is the kind of flirting I've learnt after reading a hundred and forty-two books and watching nearly three hundred movies and TV series. Heck, I even watched those long running, logic-less, exaggerated Indian daily soaps just to make my profile more trendy, flirty and romantically leaned.

After putting such efforts; what did I get today?
