"Put me on top, up there on your tree, better treat me like a star."

pairing: KellinxNoah (hear me out-)
story: Sinn (future fic 🤫)

context: Kellin Quinn is the frontman of the globally famous band Iridescent. He's got it all, the voice, the looks, the stage presence, is an actor, a dancer- It'll be easier to list what he doesn't have. Kellin recently came out (not publicly) as queer and is in his first serious queer relationship with Noah Sebastian, who's just trying to make it in the business aspects of the entertainment industry. So here's them (almost not) celebrating their first Christmas together.

°❆⋆.ೃ*:・

Kellin continued to walk across the long brick path leading out of the mansion he was just in, snow falling and getting stuck in his hair and making his tears feel like icicles cutting down his cheeks. He could hear footsteps running after him after the door was slammed shut.

"Wait!" He heard, making him stop in his tracks. He sniffled and aggressively wiped away his tears as he turned to look at the panting man standing behind him. He looked flustered and pained but oh so handsome, Kellin's breath hitched.

"Why?" Kellin's voice was just as cold as the weather. "Why should I wait? Why should I even give you the time of day when-" Kellin looked away briefly, trying to stop the sob that was clawing up his throat. He squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath before looking back at him, "When it's clear that we aren't meant for each other."

"Don't do that," he pleaded, stepping forward, but immediately held his hands up when Kellin stepped back with a warning look, "Please... I love you."

Kellin laughed bitterly, "You have a funny way of showing it."

Kellin went to walk away again but, he grabbed onto his hand and pulled him back. Kellin felt his hands cup his cheeks and he was trying to push him away but it was weak, as if the simple touch melted him against the man that was supposed to be the love of his life.

"Please," he begged again, "Don't leave... My mom she... She always thought that I'd get married to Carol instead, she's always wanted that since we were kids and didn't expect me to-"

"End up with someone like me, with no future," Kellin deadpanned, repeating the same words his mother said inside, eyes welling up in tears again. His voice waiver, the strong hold on them slowly crumbling, "I'm n-not perfect enough for her rich son and I never will be."

"I don't care that you're not enough for her. You are for me- More than enough!" he held Kellin tighter against him, "You're kind, patient, you put up with me for God's sake. You knocked me onto my ass like no other and made me realize what's actually important-"

"Cut!"

A loud ringing sound cut through the air, knocking Kellin out of the scene he was in and interrupting the man holding him from delivering his line. He blinked away the tears and looked confused as his co-star dropped his arms away from him, also looking equally as confused.

The director sighed softly from his seat, pinching the bridge of his nose, before gesturing to Kellin and his co-star. "Can the boom operator raise the damn mic!" He barked out the order and Kellin looked up to see the mic was actually a lot closer than he last saw it. Practically a whole four inches away from his co-star's head. The hell-

Immediately the mic rose away from them and the director sighed again. "Let's take a small break," he said as he got off his chair. Kellin huffed softly, feeling the twinge of annoyance starting to creep into him, watching him and his co-star walk away. Immediately his manager ran up to him with a jacket and a cup of coffee.

Filming in Big Bear after one of their snowfalls? Not a great mix but it made for a killer place to film a Christmas romance movie. "Thanks, Arthur," Kellin huffed, his whole body shaking from the cold now that he wasn't in the zone. He slipped on the jacket and took a sip of his coffee, "Have you seen my phone?"

"It's in your trailer," he muttered as he looked around the place a bit nervously and looked about ready to book it out of there, "I'll go get it for you." Kellin could've laughed. Arthur just started managing Kellin and his band after their last manager quit. He was sure Arthur heard about all the rumors about how Iridescent—especially that drama queen lead singer (aka him)—were impossible to manage.

Which was so untrue. They've just, or at least Kellin has been in the industry long enough to not want to deal with bullshit. Filming early in the morning and going through delays when Kellin was on a tight schedule was part of said bullshit. Arthur just didn't want anything to fall behind in hopes to not set Kellin off. But, Kellin was fine. He's been acting longer than he could talk, he knows how it is so he doesn't necessarily get too annoyed about it.

Still, that doesn't change the fact that setbacks were annoying. He just knows not to say anything about it.

"No," Kellin stopped him, "It's okay, I'll go, I need a minute away from the snow." Arthur pursed his lips but nodded nonetheless, because again, anything to not make Kellin upset. Which, again, was unnecessary. Kellin gave him a small smile, "Take a break with the rest of them... it's fine. I heard they have these delicious double chocolate chip muffins, you should go try one."

Arthur hesitated for a second, his shoulders physically relaxing, before giving him a curt nod, "Thank you, Mr. Quinn."

Kellin waved him off and started walking towards his trailer while sipping on his coffee. When he made it to the door of it, he kicked his boots against each other to knock the snow off them before walking into it. Immediately he was smiling when he felt the heat, he shivered slightly when the cold melted out of his body. God bless heaters. Unfortunately for him, in this scene he was wearing just a pair of jeans, a thin long-sleeve, a grey beanie, and a pair of snow boots that all did next to nothing to protect him from the cold.

That was normal considering his character was supposed to be running out of a mansion without warning.

Kellin set his cup down and reached up to pull off the beanie—being careful not to mess up the wig he had on—he was wearing and set it on the table. Yes wig, apparently the blue dip dye he had was a little too much for the character's look. According to the director, Kellin could roll his eyes. And he wasn't going to dye his hair back to full black because it took a lot to get the blue in his hair to look this good so... wig it is. Thankfully, they had enough budget to get a good one and a good stylist so it doesn't look fake, at least.

He immediately started scanning for his phone before spotting it on the couch just inches away from slipping between the cushions. He grabbed it before plopping himself onto the couch.

Once he turned on his phone, he smiled seeing the couple of messages on his screen that came in an hour ago.

Evidently, Kellin immediately went to call him. Well, FaceTime him. He couldn't help but immediately feel giddy and excited just from seeing his contact picture alone on the top left corner of his screen. Kellin usually gets like this when he's seeing someone seriously—this excited and fluttery and- Bleh. It's embarrassing. He's only done it one other time and-

Well, that doesn't matter right now.

But he feels like a schoolgirl with a crush. Giggling and wanting to twirl his hair whenever he sees his boyfriend. Kellin and Noah have only been dating for a few months after going back and forth with each other after the first time they met. They met at a random party and now here Kellin was fixing himself up on his camera before the sound of Noah answering made him stop fiddling with his hair-

"Is it Christmas already?" Kellin couldn't help the smile on his face as Noah's popped up on his screen, "I asked for a call and instead, I get to see the face of the most gorgeous person in the world."

Kellin rolled his eyes playfully—a soft blush growing on his cheeks. He should've poked fun at him but, the thumping in his chest instead made him say softly, "Hi hun."

Noah grinned, "Hi angel. Didn't think I'd hear from you till later, did you wrap up already?"

Kellin watched as Noah propped up his phone on something. Noah was in a hotel room, with his suitcase open on the bed. He and the band he was touring with were in Chicago for one of their last few dates in their tour. Noah was new in the industry scene, just graduated from University not too long ago but already working just as hard as—if not more than—some of the people Kellin's worked with since he was a child.

Thanks to his charms and social skill, Noah was able to land clients a lot faster than he expected to. For now, he's just a touring manager, heading out on the road with artists and making sure everything goes well and—basically—babysitting. It was one of his biggest goals this year and well, luck was on his side. But eventually, he wants to settle with managing one artist but, he hasn't found the right one yet.

"Mm, no," Kellin sunk back into the couch more, making himself more comfortable and grabbing the blanket that was tossed over the corner of the couch and draped it on himself. "On break, someone messed up a scene and the director stomped off to go calm down," Kellin smiled hearing Noah's chuckle through the call.

Kellin felt his mouth go dry when he saw Noah pull off his shirt. His eyes immediately started to trail, his bottom lip being caught between his teeth. "And where's the new manager?" Noah asked as he kept looking through his luggage for a different, more comfortable, shirt.

"Don't know," Kellin said without thinking even though he knew exactly where he was. Though he was a little distracted currently, he could feel blood rushing where the blood shouldn't be rushing to right now. And, okay, maybe he's acting a little too deprived BUT, Kellin hasn't seen Noah in a while. The unfortunate downside of being a celebrity with a packed schedule dating a manager that wasn't managing you.

There weren't a lot of times they could sneak off and see each other.

Noah looked over at his phone, arching one of his eyebrows up, seeing the flush on Kellin's cheek. He bit back a grin and walked over to his phone where he had it propped up against a lamp on the bedside table. Noah placed his hands on the table, leaning over it slightly but enough to still show his entire frame.

Kellin was, again, a little distracted. A little too focused on the ink that covered the entirety of Noah's chest, arms, the ones leading down to-

"Did he quit already?"

"What?" Kellin blinked, eyes finally focusing on Noah's face instead. He felt like his cheeks were on fire at this point, seeing the smug look he was giving him, "No. Why do you think he quit?"

Noah laughed softly as he grabbed his phone and laid down on the bed instead of finding a shirt to put on. He held his phone up, "Well, the last time I saw him, he was practically attached to your hip. And now he's nowhere to be seen, either he quit or you've killed him."

Kellin gasped in faux offense, dramatically clutching his shirt, "You think little ol' me is capable of killing someone?"

"I think you're capable of anything you put your mind to," Noah shrugged, brushing back his long hair, "Also, your last manager lasted... What? A week?"

"It's not my fault he couldn't take constructive criticism," Kellin shrugged. The last manager they had was... a bit sensitive.

Which... okay maybe Kellin did overreact a little when he found out the schedule they had for December. It was too much! Humanly impossible. Who schedules their artist to film a Christmas movie (that won't come out till next year, mind you- Okay, maybe that's fine because he isn't technically out yet but-), a slot at Jingle Ball, interviews (radio and talkshows), a music video shoot, and performing at Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve all in one month? Kellin doesn't have a single day to breathe for himself except for on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Clearly, none of that flew well with Kellin or the rest of the Iridescent members.

"But, for your information, Arthur is at the food trailer. I told him to relax and go eat a muffin, he's stressing me out over him thinking I'm stressed out."

"But-"

"Hush, it makes sense to me," Kellin sighed, "Anyway, what's the plan for you guys today?"

Noah laughed again, shaking his head, "Rest day for them, not a rest day for me."

"Then how come you wanted me to call?" Kellin hummed. It wasn't that he didn't want to call Noah. They called each other nearly every day but, never when the other is—or going to be—busy. There calls were usually at night or when they're both resting and able to dilvuge in non-resting things. So something had to be going on.

"Ah..." Noah trailed off a little. Kellin frowned feeling his heart drop a little, Noah looked upset—a bit annoyed—and sighed, "I have some bad news."

"What happened?" Kellin asked quickly, immediately sitting up, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, sweetheart," Noah said quickly, briefly smiling reassuringly at him, "I just... might not be able to make it to you for Christmas like we planned."

Kellin instantly frowned. That... Well, Kellin felt disappointed immediately. Noah was supposed to meet Kellin here in California for Christmas. It was going to work out perfectly, it needed to work out perfectly, especially after Kellin worked around the schedule with Arthur and made sure most of what they needed to do was in the LA area. Kellin would finish wrapping up the film—they were already filming one of the last few scenes now—go to Jingle Ball with the rest of the band and do some of the interviews.

The band Noah was with at that point should've wrapped up their tour, he'd go visit his cousins in Bakersfield for a couple of days, and come back to LA to be with Kellin for Christmas. They'd have to part ways again since Kellin needed to go to New York for Rockin' Eve to practice and Noah was going to stay in California for a bit to visit some friends until he needed fly back to be with Kellin for New Years.

It was a mess.

A big complicated overwhelming mess and Christmas was supposed to be that small break from all the crazy. It would be their first time celebrating and... Okay, maybe Kellin expected a little too much. They only just started dating a few months ago they didn't need to be together but...

"Why not?" Kellin tried to keep his voice leveled, tried not to let it show how upset he actually was about this. But the evident pout on his lips made Noah's heart sink and immediately want to fly out to see him. Screw his job- Well, not really he actually needs this gig.

"The concert that got cancelled a bit ago," Noah started, "Remember? In New York?"

Kellin does because it was the week before he had to fly out to California. A small blessing in disguise since they got the chance to be with each other before this entire month of chaos started. Still, now it just looked like a time bomb of the eventual sadness Kellin was going to feel.

He nodded. "Well, it was finally rescheduled but on Christmas Eve. And you know the flight situation-"

"I get it," Kellin said softly, stopping him from explaining. Noah sighed and shook his head, "I do! You're looking at someone who's working on New Year's Eve and who's worked on Christmas before. Multiple times."

"I know but," Noah shrugged, "I wish I could do something but I tried looking up flights for the night of and all of it's booked, next days even more-"

"Hey," Kellin stopped him before he went on a spew of more spiraling plans. He felt his heart ache but that's how a long-distance relationship works, especially with the careers they both have. Sacrifices are made all the time. "It's okay. We'll see each other New Year's it's not a big deal."

"But it is," Noah insisted, "I know we both have to work and this shit happens but, you were excited and I was too."

Kellin smiled feeling his heart swell knowing he was just as upset about this as he is. It made him feel better and not like he was overreacting over feeling this way. Because, again, they've only been dating a couple of months, they're probably both overreacting. Or maybe because they don't see each other often, they miss each other a lot more. Who knows?

"Is this why you're shirtless?" Kellin asked, trying to lighten up the mood, "Did you want to soften the blow?"

Noah cracked a grin, "Well, no but I caught you ogling me earlier." He shrugged and put one of his arms behind his head, "Thought you might like a show."

"Mm," Kellin giggled softly, "I did indeed, how about you show a little more?"

They knew they couldn't. Not now when Noah needed to leave soon and Arthur is probably on his way to get him back to finish up the confession scene today. Still, that bit of information didn't stop Noah from giving him a darkened look and Kellin from feeling himself get riled up over it.

Speaking of the devil, Kellin's trailer door opened and in came Arthur walking in. Noah heard the door and laughed softly seeing Kellin roll his eyes and letting out a huff. "Think we'll have to rain check that baby," Noah sat up from bed, "Call later?"

"Mhm," Kellin hummed as he stood up before Arthur could say something. He looked less tensed at least, hopefully now he can relax around Kellin. Because all that stress isn't good for him and it definitely will end up annoying Kellin in the future. Kellin sent an air kiss to his phone, "I'll take you later, handsome."

Noah grinned, "Later, pretty boy."

°❆⋆.ೃ*:・

The weeks leading up to the 24th went by a blur.

Kellin's pretty sure he slept for only 21 hours in total and he felt exhausted. Jingle Ball went good, they killed it like always, and all the interviews they had to do were as annoying as they usually were. Seriously, when will they ask better questions? If he has to answer another question trying to fish out answers about who his last album, l'amour de ma vie, is about again—as if it wasn't obvious—he'll tear his hair out.

Aside from that Kellin wrapped up the movie nicely. He had mind blowing video and phone sex with his boyfriend—as mind blowing as that could be but, nothing compared to the real thing.

And finally, finally, he can go home and relax for the next two days and try to ignore the depressing reality that he'd spend it alone. Well, not completely, Lynn—his guitarist—invited him over to celebrate with her family but he's still debating on going or not. He could also see where is friend 'K' was, maybe hang out with him but-

For now, he just wants to sleep in his own bed after spending it in Airbnbs and hotels before flying back home.

Kellin owned a house in Beverly Hills. Usually just used for vacationing or when he wants to escape from everything. Or, like today, a place to stay before taking his flight. It was a Spanish style type, two story house, with five bedrooms. A large backyard with a pool that is currently covered because even though it isn't as cold here as it is in New York, Kellin wouldn't be caught dead swimming in it.

The lights were off but he could see the glow of a Christmas tree in the living room. It's the only property he owns that gets decorated, even in his actual penthouse in New York City it's never decorated. He doesn't care too since he usually isn't home on Christmas unless it's for sleeping. This house, though, does get used by his parents when they throw parties so they decorate it to make it seem like they actually care enough about the festivities.

Kellin let out a yawn as he walked into the house, turning on the lights, and dropping his keys in the bowl next to the door. He glanced up to the stairs and the urge to go to bed was calling to him but... Kellin needed to unwind first.

He walked into the living room, turning on the lights there as well, before walking towards the large liquor cabinet he had there. Kellin opened up the doors and started to look through the array of bottles he had. He almost went to grab one until he heard someone clear their throat behind him.

Kellin, out of instinct, grabbed a bottle from the rack—the strongest (literal bulletproof glass) one he owns—and turned, lifting it up in the air ready to whack whoever was in his house. His heart thumped in his ears fast and his eyes had a wild look in them—adrenaline—until-

"Told you, you were capable of anything you put your mind to."

Kellin let out a breath of relief seeing that it was Noah who was standing up straight from where he was crouched down by the tree. Noah just finished setting down the presents he got for him. Kellin's eyes flickered over to it and just now he noticed a bunch of gifts surrounding the bottom of the tree. He dropped the bottle, thanking the lords it wouldn't break, before he ran over towards him.

Noah opened his arms with a big smile on his face, just as Kellin jumped into them, wrapping his legs around his waist and his arms around his neck. Kellin leaned in to kiss Noah, feeling his rough hands grab onto the bottom of his thighs to keep him up. "What... How are you..." Kellin tried to say between kisses but ended up putting his hand to back of his neck, keeping him still.

He didn't care how he got here. The fact that he's here. Noah was here with him and everything feels good and-

"Are you crazy!? I was going to hit you with a Russo-Baltique bottle!" Kellin said after, finally, getting the strength to pull away from the kiss, panting and looking down at him.

"In my defense," Noah laughed as he leaned back in to kiss him again before pulling away, "I thought you were going to be home later."

Kellin laughed in disbelief, cupping his cheeks, still not believing Noah was even here. "Oh my god you're here," Kellin leaned in again to kiss him because he honest to god couldn't stop kissing him. His soft lips slotting in perfectly with his, moving in-synch, as he tugged at Kellin's bottom lip making him moan softly.

Noah's grip tightened around his thighs but ended up pulling away with a grin on his face, "Guessing you missed me a lot?"

"Shut up," Kellin laughed and patted his shoulder, silently asking to be put down—which Noah obliged. Kellin was quick to grab onto his hand and pulled him towards the couch where they both took a seat, "What are you doing here and how?"

"Well, I'm here because I couldn't stomach the thought of not seeing my sweet angel on Christmas," Noah said cheekily. Kellin rolled his eyes but blushed nonetheless, "And the how... Well, the guys gave me an incredible early Christmas present."

The band Noah was with told him they'd be fine to go without him. Everything was settled in New York already and they should be performing by now. They thought it was a bit lame that after they finished they could just go home with their families while Noah was stuck alone. That was a couple of days ago and well... he did still have to go visit his cousins like he originally planned so he did that first. Now he was here.

He just got to Kellin's house not that long ago, after driving down from Bakersfield, remembering where he said the extra key was, going in, and started getting the place ready. Noah even had food made in the kitchen but- They were (and are going to be) pretty occupied.

"Oh god," Kellin laughed, covering his face and shaking his head, "You're insane."

"Maybe," Noah shrugged, "But I wasn't the one swinging around an expensive vodka bottle to kill someone."

"How would you react if you hear someone in your house when you thought you were alone?" Kellin looked up at him, crossed his arms, and glared (pouted) at him.

Noah smiled and leaned in pecking his lips, "You're in a gated community sweetheart, with a security system even the devil couldn't get past, the likelihood of you getting robbed is slim."

"But never zero," Kellin said before throwing his leg over him, straddling his lap. Noah's eyes darkened as his hands immediately flew up to grab at his ass, "Now, hush, I'm gonna enjoy my Christmas present."

"Unwrapping your present before Christmas," Noah hummed, eyes trailing along him, as Kellin pulled his shirt off, "That'll get you on the naughty list."

Kellin shrugged, "Who says I'm not already on it?" Then he leaned back in to kiss him, lacing his fingers into his hair after taking off the hair claw clip that was holding it up, and giving Noah his (well deserved) first Christmas gift as well.

And after midnight, on Christmas Day, he posted on his close friends that Santa did come drop off the best gift he could ever ask for.

Teehee. Hi :)

Now have Kellin Quinn and Noah Sebastian ever interacted? As far I know, no. But what's the point of partaking in shipping and fanfic writing culture if you don't have at least one ship that quite literally doesn't exist whatsoever and has zero chance or evidence of it even existing?

Elsa and Jack Frost or Tiana and Nanami anyone?

Anyway, I'm a bit nervous on posting this one because of the fact that they're a new story idea and also because of the ship LMAO. It's so silly but they're fun to write so who cares?

(If you see any editing mistakes... no you didn't-)

Let me know what you thought! Thoughts, comments, questions, and all concerns are welcomed!

Also Merry Christmas Eve to all who celebrate today! I hope you enjoyed reading this one and I'll see you on the next one :>

Thanks for reading and stay safe <3
