3 months later

"Finally!" Jungkook gasps as he throws the brush away. They finally painted the whole stable for the third time to make sure it holds.

It has taken waaaay too long, but it's finally over now.

"Good job," Taehyung giggles, drying some sweat from his forehead as he throws his brush as well.

He wraps an arm around Jungkook's waist, and the other leans back into him, resting his head on Taehyung's shoulder.

"I think it turned out pretty well, considering I'm just a 'city boy,' right?" Jungkook teases and turns his head to give Taehyung a kiss on the cheek.

Let's just say, they have been pretty close to each other doing these three months, but still just on a fuck-buddy level.

And they have been fucking a lot indeed. In the barn, in the river, in the truck - hell, even in the hay in the back of the stable.

People would call them disgusting, but they don't really mind. Granny hasn't been home much either because her sister has now moved here and they want to spend a lot of time together. She gave Taehyung a big kiss and told him that he should just live his life and not worry about her.

He would be taking care of her 24/7 if she was home, he can't help it. He insisted that she just stayed home, but she told him that she would visit a lot, but give Taehyung the chance to take fully care of the farm.

Jungkook had been there the whole time, also receiving a kiss a little too big for his liking on his cheek.

But he was still grateful for the old lady. She really has a kind and pure heart, thinking about others before herself.

Just like Taehyung.

There's also something else Jungkook has been pondering about. Quite a lot these days actually. Since they have gotten to know each other better, questions like these are unavoidable.

Where are Taehyung's parents? What happened to them?

He hasn't had the moment to ask, but maybe, this isn't a bad time to do it. He leans a little more back and lies his arms over Taehyung's that are wrapped around him.

"Tae, can I ask you a question?" he starts. He doesn't really know how to break the ice.

"Sure, why would you even ask for permission?" Taehyung chuckles, letting his chin fall on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Cause it might be a bit personal."

Taehyung hums but just waits on until Jungkook talks.

"Where are your parents?" he asks. Silence fills the air around them, the grib on Jungkook's waist loosing a little. Immediately he knows he hit a sensitive spot in Taehyung's heart.

He's just about to turn around and apologize for asking when he gets dragged into an even tighter back-hug. He feels a pair of lips getting planted on his neck.

They just stand like that for a little, Jungkook really feels his patience getting tested. Suddenly, the elder takes a deep breath and talks.

"They left me when I was a teen. They didn't love me, so they left cause I was too 'rebellious' apparently," Taehyung explains.

Jungkook can't see his face due to their position, but he can still feel how tense Taehyung is talking about this subject.

"They wanted me to go to a very expensive collage to pursue law and business, but I didn't want that. I went against them, and one day my father just gave me a slap on the cheek and they moved far away from here, not looking back at the boy they once called their son. Not to mention when they found me half naked with a boy... it wasn't so good," Taehyung says.

He leaves out the part about it being Hoseok, he knows Jungkook would get too jealous.

It was horrible. He almost got beaten to death by his father that time. At least Hoseok was so drunk that he just passed out on the bed and didn't see what happened to Taehyung that night.

It's not something he wants to be remind of anyway, but he still felt kind of glad when Jungkook asked about his family. Just shows how much he cares.

"They really disowned you because of that?"

"Not everyone has life where they get spoiled in mouth and ass like all the kids in the city," Taehyung teases slightly and pinches Jungkook's side.

"You're so mean," Jungkook says and gives him an elbow in the stomach in return. Taehyung smiles and turns Jungkook around so they can look at each other.

"What they did to me in those years is not something I wouldn't wish for anyone, not even my worst enemy. I'm just glad granny let me stay here, she's the reason I am the way I am," he finishes.

Jungkook smiles at that as he places his hands on Taehyung's shoulders.

"I'm glad you are this way then."

"You weren't in the beginning-"

"Shut up, that was different!"

Taehyung laughts again and hugs Jungkook, rubbing his cheek against Jungkook's to annoy him. The younger tries to push him away, but it's hard.

"Tae-" Jungkook whines and they finally pull back to look at each other.

"But... what did you study then?"

"Agriculture. But that's not really most parents' dream. And since I ended here, I chose agriculture so I would be able to take over the farm, also learning to deal with animals. I guess you can say it's my dream," Taehyung explains.

Jungkook is looking at him with almost sparkling eyes. He loves to hear Taehyung tell about what he loves with so much passion.

It fits him so well.

"You're amazing Tae, do you know that?" Jungkook states.

"Wow, it can't be normal to receive a compliment from the Jeon Jungkook! I'm honered," he says with a smile.

Jungkook hits his chest annoyed, turning away to avoid Taehyung as he tries to kiss him. It doesn't work for long though and their lips soon meet.

They have been kissing everyday, all day. Whenever they get the chance, they make out. I mean, who wouldn't?

"We should head back, we have to go soon," Jungkook says when they pull apart slightly.

They are heading to Jimin's house for a movie night, no alcohol this time. But deep down, Taehyung just suggested it because he wants Jimin and Namjoon to be in the same room.

For your information, they still haven't made up. Whenever the group is together, they avoid each other and basically never talks. Then tension between them is beyond awkward, yet none of them seems to have the courage to start a conversation between them.

Therefore, Taehyung is going to force it on them. That might sound bad, but he knows it's what they need. They need to talk it out or else it will never get better.

"You're right, we should take a shower before we leave," Taehyung replies. They start heading back inside, hoping that tonight will be okay for everyone.
