The days blended into each other. Micky was no longer aware of time or how much of it had passed.
Unknown to Micky, the trials had passed. He was deemed too mentally unstable to go, but his diagnosis helped locked Peter and Davy away.
Micky continued to regress into himself until he no longer spoke at all, not even to say Mike's name. Anything he could potentially hurt himself with was taken from his room. He spent his days wasting away, barely even eating, thinking about nothing as he stared at the white, blank walls.
The girl in the room next to him, Eliza, attempted suicide. She was released after a few weeks, having been deemed healthy again.
The boy across the hall, Corey, had a mental breakdown. He, too, was released after a few weeks.
One by one, old patients left. Sometimes, they were replaced with new ones. But none of that mattered to Micky. He was lost inside his own mind, dreaming about Michael.
But Michael never came.
Micky was alone.
