Beams of yellow sunshine we're fighting its way through the shutters of Yi Bona's still dark bedroom. The girl was sprawled out on her bed, her long brown hair on her face and the pillow, the blankets kicked off the bed.

The girl scrunched her nose, slowly waking up to the annoying noise of her alarm clock on her bedside table.
With a swift motion, she sat up, her hair covering her swollen face. With closed eyes, Bona grabbed the alarm and turned it off, before wiping her hair out of her face and throwing her, in Digimon leggings clothed, legs out of her bed.

Bona never had issues waking up. It wasn't hard for the girl to wake up in the morning, even if she was working till late in the night. She and her inner clock had already gotten used to this rhythm.

Bona quickly stretched herself before opening her window to let the fresh morning air inside. She took a look out of the window only to see the big building of an Innisfree store opposite of her.

That was one of the disadvantages of living in a shopping district in Myeongdong. Whenever you would look out of your window you would see a shop and even in the early morning people would walk around the street to get to the subway station.

Myeongdong was always buzzing.

But Bona was used to that as well. She yawned and walked out of her bedroom, quietly walking over the wooden floor, that sometimes creaked, in the hallway until she entered the kitchen.

Her fingers automatically found the switch for their small Senseo coffee machine and she turned it on. The machine started humming and Bona went to grab two mugs.

"Three spoons for Dad." She mumbled to herself like a mantra while putting the sugar into one of the mugs. "And four for Samchon* Taeho." She sighed and shook her head. "He'll die of diabetes sooner or later." She rolled her eyes and put the mugs under the coffee machine pressing the button for the drip to start.

While the coffee was dripping into the mugs, Bona opened the window and broomed the floor a bit so her Dad wouldn't have problems coming into the dusty kitchen later.

The kitchen smelled like freshly cooked coffee when Bona took the mugs and walked into the living room.
Bona leaned against the door frame seeing her father, sitting in his wheelchair and in front of the panorama window facing the same Innisfree shop she saw when she would look out of her window.

His back was towards his daughter and Bona smiled. "You're awake." She said loudly and walked towards him, setting Taeho's mug on the couch table before walking over to her father and handing him his mug.

"Thank you." He mumbled and Bona went to slide open the window so fresh air could come into the room.
"How did you sleep?" She asked her father who was rubbing his thigh out of habit, even though he couldn't feel it. "Okay, I guess." He mumbled.

Bona sighed. A few days ago, when her father and her uncle were out grocery shopping, he fell with the wheelchair and had a bruise on his ribcage since then. Bona had been worried when her Samchon had called her and told her that her Dad was in the hospital.

"Are you taking your painkillers?" Bona asked when a groan came from the living room door and her uncle stood in the door. "Good Morning." He grumbled, a smile spreading on his lips when he saw the coffee on the couch table. "Ah, thank you Bona-yah!" Yi Taeho grumbled before taking a sip of the still hot coffee.

Bona bowed and turned back to her Dad. "Don't forget to take your painkillers, Appa." She smiled before pecking her father's cheek.

"I'll go and take a shower." The only woman in the house announced. "And then I'll head downstairs. Daehwan-oppa said he'll come early today." Bona said and her Dad nodded, watching his only daughter leave the living room before turning to his younger brother.

"Ya! Taeho! Do you want to die or something? Coming home at 2 AM at your age?" Yi Chisoo asked, rolling over to where his Dongsaeng was sitting on the couch. "You seriously have to get a wife. You look like shit." Chisoo grumbled and hit his brother with a couch cushion. "Ow! Hyung! Please!" Taeho whined and tried to save his precious coffee.

The first thing Bona did when she entered the main room of YEBIN'S DINER was turning on the radio and one of her favorite playlists that'll fit a refreshing morning. The playlist had the very fitting name Bona's Mornings and was mostly made out of K-Indie songs with a good and cheerful vibe.

While the young woman hummed to the music she took down the chairs and opened the shutters of the display window. Then she opened the main door to let fresh air enter the dining area. She then proceeded to turn on the cash register and logged in.

The main room of YEBIN'S DINER was decorated in an American 50's Style which was very pleasing to the eye and a lot of people came by just to purchase a milkshake and take pictures. Bona wouldn't mind other people promoting her diner where she and her team put a lot of work into.

After finishing all the morning's preparations she went into the back room, where their lockers were. She opened her own, taking out her uniform.

Working in an American themed diner had the perks of wearing a cute uniform for work.

Ever since Bona took over YEBIN'S DINER she had changed the uniform from a boring white blouse and black trouser to a navy blouse with a white collar and a light blue, fluffy and silky skirt. The little sailor-themed hat was optional but Bona liked how she looked with it.

After putting on her uniform she tied the white ribbon around her waist and went back to the main room.

Bona just turned the switch for all the fairy lights and LED signs of their decoration when a tall figure entered the Diner. Bona looked up, seeing their cook and the mastermind behind almost all of their good treats on their menu: Son Daehwan.

"Oppa, annyeong!" Bona greeted him and skipped over to him, hugging him slightly. "Morning." He yawned and fixed the strap of his bag pack. "I'll get changed and prepare some of the cakes for the display." He announced. Bona followed him in the back room, knowing that until 11 AM no one will come in. Maybe some of the Employees of the other shops would stop by for a quick coffee but none would have a full meal before eleven o'clock.

Bona watched Daehwan put his stuff in his locker and put on his cooking shirt. He stretched himself and looked at Bona. "I know you love me, Aegi-yah* but I want to change my pants." The older boy chuckled and Bona walked back to the main room, singing the song that was currently playing when her other colleague entered the door, with a stressed expression on her face and saying in her perfect English, "Oh my God, you have no idea who I just met!"

*Samchon = Uncle
*Aegi = Baby
