The minute she heard the faint pitter patter of the rain on the windows of her tiny condo she tossed her shoes and jacket on even though she knew she'd get soaked, and headed out her front door into the empty rainy streets.
Y/N loved walking in the rain, it calmed her and helped to her think. She'd just wait for the rain and go on walks to this hidden little place in the forest she goes to that no one knows about but her and maybe a few others.
Aleks was sitting alone in his condo, watching the rain out of his window and the empty streets caused by the pouring rain.
The sight of a girl with H/L H/C hair walking alone in the rain with her head down intrigues Aleks, and that's when he decided to put his shoes on and pursue the girl.
She was humming quietly to one of her favorite songs as the tears stream down her face, completely unaware of the man about to be trailing behind her to her safe haven.
But when she hears the faint sound of the footsteps behind her, she knew someone was following her. She just hoped whoever it was, is friendly and would leave her alone to her thoughts.
Aleksandr followed her until she ended up in a park with a forest trail behind it, the girl sitting in one of the soaked swings, not one bit caring that she's drenched and getting even wetter.
This made him even more intrigued with her, the unknown girl seeming to love the rain. He joins her at the swing set, sitting in the swing nearest her.
Y/N takes note of the man trailing behind her so she stops in the park, not yet going to her secret place. She sees him to her left in a swing, watching him out of her peripherals and as she studies him, she's almost certain it's... Aleks? But it couldn't be.
Finally he chooses to speak up after the two sat silently swinging in the rain, "So uh, what are you doing alone in the rain?"
That's when she finally turned to face him, the slight realization flashing against her face at the sound of his voice. That's definitely the crazy Russian.
"Well.. I love the rain. And it's the perfect time to think." The girl mutters out, barely audible over the rain splashing in the puddles beneath the swings.
"Not many people like the rain. But I agree with you, it is the perfect time to think." The man replies before saying, "If you don't mind me asking, what are you thinking about?"
Y/N lets out a quiet sad giggle before shaking her head, "The world is such a cruel and lonely place. Not all haunted places are houses, Aleksandr. Sometimes they can be your own mind."
"I agree with you there. But, how do you know my name?" Aleks asks curiously.
"Cow Chop. I've been a groupie for quite some time, you guys help me through shit by never failing to make me laugh daily." The girl says as the first smile Aleks has seen on the girl's face appears.
"I'm glad our shitty videos help you. Can I know your name since you know mine?" Aleksandr says to her, a small smile on his face.
"Y/N. It's Y/N." She says, thinking of offering Aleks to join her in the forest.
"That's a lovely name, you don't mind if I join you do you Y/N?" He asks her as he watches the rain drop into the puddles.
"Of course I don't mind. Stay as long as you wish." She starts, "Actually if you want to follow me some more, you can come with me to this secret place in the forest off the trail that I'm pretty sure only I know about."
"Wow, it'd be an honor to join you. Lead the way." Aleks says as he jumps out of his swing.
Y/N feels her smile growing as she does the same, without thinking she grabs his hand in hers and leads him onto the trail and through the woods, "It's not too far in, lets go!"
Aleksandr can't help his cheeks heating up as he gently squeezes her hand in his, not minding one bit as he followed her along the muddy trail.

She smiles once they cut off from the trail and to the small clearing with the little tent-like fort that was obviously hand crafted by someone over a long period of time that she stumbled across walking one day.
"Holy shit this is so awesome. How'd you find this?" Aleks asks her as she leads him inside the fort, him taking in all the surroundings and bits of graffiti and random bits and bobs scattered around the inside.
"I just happened to stumble off the trail a bit and I ran across it, I mean I know I'm not actually the only one who knows about it seeing as someone spent so much time making this place but it's so wonderful here especially with the rain pitter pattering off the tarps." Y/N says, completely oblivious to the fact she's still holding his hand even as they sit on the benches inside.
Aleksandr on the other hand, this beautiful girl holding his hand was all he could think about. Why hasn't she let go? And why does he want her to never let go, causing him to sit there silently stunned and watching her admire the surroundings around the two.
"It's truly breathtaking isn't it Aleksandr?" She asks, finally turning to look at him, her cheeks heating up as she noticed him staring at her.
"It really is breathtaking. Thank you for showing me this place, I just might start coming here every so often." Aleks says with a smile as he looks at the little wall with writing in marker scattered across it.
"Cow Chop is on there! I drew the logo." Y/N says proudly, using her free hand to point at the logo drawn on the wall, "Gotta represent the boys."
"Thank you! We appreciate it." Aleks says with a smile, snapping a quick up close picture of just the Cow Chop logo on the wall.
For awhile after that the two sat in comfortable silence, almost as if they had known each other for years, neither of the pair daring to let go of the others hand just yet, enjoying the company.
"Aww, the rain is starting to let up and the sun is setting." She finally speaks up, a slight pout evident across her features.
"Would you like me to walk you back to your house?" Aleks asks her, hoping she'll say yes, not wanting to be free of her presence just yet.
"I would love that Aleksandr." Y/N replies, standing up off the bench, still hand in hand with him.
At the sound of his name rolling off her tongue, he can't help but squeeze her hand a little tighter, his fingers lacing between hers, "Lead the way."
When she felt his fingers lacing with hers she froze slightly, the realization that they were still holding hands finally hitting her.
Aleksandr's thumb slowly brushes across the back of her hand, noticing she had stopped moving altogether.
"What's wrong?" He asks her.
Somehow, the swirling of his thumb on the back of her hand calmed her more than the rain, "N-Nothing"
"Are you sure, you just stuttered." Aleks points out.
"Actually I'm just a little bit cold, it gets chilly at night." Y/N said, playing it off before the two started walking again.
As they walk back the same way he followed her, his own home came into view.
"That's my place." He says, pointing out his condo with his black camaro sitting in the drive.
"Holy shit, that means we've pretty much been neighbors for awhile, I live a couple places down." She says, walking a little bit farther to her own condo, "And it seems there's just two other condos between ours."
Aleks smiles at that, the two of them stopping outside of her front door as the sun is now nowhere in the sky.
"Would it be weird if I asked for your number?" He asks, a barely noticeable blush making it's way onto his face.
"It wouldn't be weird at all." She says with a smile, opening her front door and grabbing a pen off the small table she keeps there for her keys, "Hold out your hand."
Aleksandr doesn't hesitate before holding out his free hand for her, allowing her to jot down her number onto it along with her name and a smiley face.
"There. Now you have my number, but it's only fair if you give me yours too." Y/N says with a proud smile.
The man chuckles softly before taking the pen from her and doing the same thing she did, not forgetting to add his own smiley, but with a winky face.
"Now we're even." Aleks says with a smirk.
Y/N looks down at her hand with a smile, "It seems we are. I had fun Aleks, thank you for joining me in my rainy adventures."
"I had fun as well, I'm glad you showed me that amazing hidden fort." Aleks replies, "I better get going it's getting pretty late, I'll text you later."
"Yeah it is, have a nice night Aleksandr." She says, giggling a bit.
"You have a nice night too Y/N." He replies before giving her a quick wave and over to his own home to change his drenched clothes, sending her a quick text after.
Not long after they had parted ways she heard her phone vibrate on her bedside table after she had changed from her wet clothes and into pajamas.
She grabbed her phone and looked at the text from the unknown number that read, "Goodnight Y/N."
A huge smile came across her face as she quickly wrote out her reply, "Goodnight Aleksandr."
