It was a good sign when Loretta turned three years old, she showed she had her magic at birth, but when she turned three it was really noticeable. And for various reasons at best, for one she caught the kitchen workers arm on fire because she was not cooking fast enough for her. She clearly had a lot of talent within her, and as much as Abigail wanted to be mad with Loretta, she couldn't find it in her bones to snap at the toddler. At four Loretta showed her gene from her father's side, the shifters that were in his family line were only ever female. Loretta had been playing in the yard when a boy showed up and she got mad at him, Abigail and Jessie noticed her emotions controlled her magic abilities. So they tried to keep her calm on matters that were definitely not working so far. The young girl had turned into the boys fears and that was a snake, Loretta turned into a large snake and chased after the boy so he'd leave her alone.

Laughing as she changed back her parents looked at her both proudly and nervously, but she didn't care. And the mischievous side of Loretta began to show especially when she turned six years old. She would play pranks on the maids that helped around the house and sometimes they would leave without a word and never return.

"Loretta you have to stop scaring off the butlers and maids or we won't have the things we need done" Abigail stated to her daughter

"But mum it's funny and so much fun to watch them run and scream" Loretta smiled remembering all the screams of the maids and or butlers she scared away

"No doubt a Slytherin" Jessie said as he read the daily prophet paper in his hands

"Jessie that's enough said, now Loretta we are going to visit the Malfoy's so get on a nice outfit and behave while we're visit" Abigail said

"Ugh, but Draco is such a bloody annoying boy" Loretta whined

"Hey, language young lady" Jessie said sternly

"I only said bloody not anything bad" Loretta stated

"Still, your father doesn't like that kind of talk coming from you" Abigail said

"Sorry mum, sorry dad" Loretta said and ran off to change her clothes to visit the Malfoy's

When they got to the Malfoy manor, Loretta ran straight for the stairs off to find and bother Draco leaving her parents and his to chat about business related things.

"Dray...Draco wake up" Loretta shouted shaking the boy

"AHHH" Draco shouted causing Loretta to fall down laughing very hard

"Lottie" he growled glaring down at the girl

"Hi" she giggled finally calming down the laughter

"You can't scare me like that, i could have had a heart attack" Draco said dramatically

"Don't be dramatic dray, it's doesn't look good on you" she teased

"I'll show you dramatic" Draco said and they began chasing each other around the manor laughing with one another

And yet she said he was annoying, but in reality she liked the boy enough to call him her friend, but she had other friends. She knew pansy Parkinson, daphne Greengrass, Theodore nott, Lorenzo Berkshire and even blaze zabini too. She had already made a decent sized friend group and not only did her parents know each of her friends parents, but they practically grew up together. So, it wasn't weird for her to mess around with the boys just as it wasn't for them to mess around with her. Although she always had the upper hand with her abilities, reading minds was one, but shape shifting was another and she used them t her advantage all the time. Much to their dislike of course, but she did it nonetheless and without regrets too, but eventually things were bound to change for them all. Things would get harder and things would get worse for young Loretta that was for sure.
