For the GuildofGraphics contest. 

The point of the contest was to make a book cover for your favorite song, and I made two, Heathens by Twenty One Pilots from the Suicide Squad album (AHMSOEXCITED) and Scotland by The Lumineers from the Reign soundtrack (WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME BY NOT RELEASING THE THIRD SEASON ON NETFLIX?! *ugly sobbing in the distance*)

Anyways, Scotland seemed like the better option. So here ya go!

Now just for why I thought my cover went with the theme of the song.

I watch Reign quite often, and I've seen why they specifically chose (or wrote) that song for the show. Granted, the majority is a bit of vocalizing instead of actual singing  (^_^;), but the lyrics say a lot (hence the subtitle: she's in control). The show is about Mary Stuart otherwise known as Mary, Queen of Scots. The theme is a bit mysterious but also fantasy like, with a slight Scottish lilt (? IDK how you would describe it, but there's a sort of a jig in the background, but it's like a Lord of The Rings kind of Scottish jig, if that makes any sort of sense.)

The show is set in the 16th century and that is reflected in most of the instrumental bits of the song. I decided to reflect that with a more medieval feel to the cover, but also a fantasy like sense because of the whole slight Lord of The Rings type feel to the song. Of course, the song is called Scotland so I decided to add the Scottish Highlands in the background. The mist around the cover is to add the mysterious and intriguing feel there is in the lyrics, and of course I added the picture of Mary, Queen of Scots from the show, since the song gives many references to her and her problems in French Court (also behold the castle which shows the "royalty" part of the song).
