Authors Note and Preview.

A/N: Okay so one of my friends got me into the show Bitten (No spoilers please I'm only on season 1)
and I've been wanting to do another werewolf AU so I decided to pretty much follow the story line of Bitten (With my own twists here and there.) but use OUAT characters instead.
I hope you all like this, as I'm very excited about it.

I wanted to share a preview for the story here while I'm still working on completing the first chapter.  :)

Kassidy paced the floor of the office belonging to Mr. Sidney Glass, a reporter for the Daily Mirror. Her heels clicked against the tiled floor.
"Mr. Glass. You promised proof of a Werewolf. The collectors I represent would like definitive proof." Kassidy said and stopped pacing for a moment to face him. She could smell how intimidated of her that Mr. Glass was, and she hated how thrilling it felt for her.

"And you will see it. Ms. Cole." Sidney said and wiped the beads of sweat from his forehead as he began to play a video on his TV.
"What is this?" Kassidy asked.
"Its what you've asked for. Proof." Sidney said. "Werewolf." He added and pointed to the screen.
Kassidy watched as the man on the screen began to shift. The sounds of his bones breaking and shifting and the groans of pain made Kassidy swallow thickly. She could not let this video leave this office.
"How many know about this." She asked.
"Just you and I, as we agreed upon." Sidney replied.
"Game hunters would pay a lot of money to track him down." Sidney grinned.

"I will take it off of your hands now. Name your price." Kassidy said.
Sidney chuckled, although as intimidated as he was he was not about to give up this video.
"Thats not how this works." Sidney said.
"I am willing to pay whatever you would like." Kassidy said trying to keep her composure and not seem too desperate.

"My plan is the hunter with the highest bidder will come with me to Italy to catch the beast." Sidney said.
"I thought you were going to kill it." Kassidy said.
"Not at first. I want it to tell us where more like it are hiding. That old mansion up in the woods..I've heard people say they hear wolves out that way, and with the stories one hears about the mysterious family that lives up there...one could only guess that maybe just maybe there are werewolves here in Storybrooke too." Sidney smirked.l

"I'm sorry I can't let you do this." Kassidy said and with speed that Sidney didn't see coming at all she had him pinned to the wall by his throat. Sidney looked on in horror as Kassidys fingernails turned to claws.
"You..You're one of them. Please. Don't do this. I'll give you the video. I'll never speak-"
Sidney couldn't finish his sentence before Kassidy shoved her clawed hand through his chest and ripped out his heart.

Sidney crumpled to the floor. Kassidy looked at the heart in her hand and dropped it to the floor.
"Why did you make me do this??" She said and backed away from the body sobbing. She pulled her phone from her pocket with her bloody hand and dialed the one person she knew she needed.

As soon as the charming accented voice answered from the other end she barely let him speak before she cut him off.
"Killian...I need you." She said frantically.

Kassidy sat up in bed, she was panting. Her vision was switching back and forth between human, and wolf. She looked at her hands that were trying to transform.
"No..no.. not here." She whispered.
"Kassi?" Her partner August asked stirring from his sleep. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I just..I need to go out for a jog." She said and got out of bed quickly and started to find her clothes.
"It's 1am." August yawned and sat up.
"I won't be long." Kassidy said as she put her clothes on. "I promise." She smiled and put her hands behind her back so he couldn't see that her fingernails had become claws.
August pouted at her.
"I promise Auggie" She said again and then kissed him.
"Okay. I love you. Watch out for creepers" He smirked and kissed her back.
"Love you too." Kassidy said and left the apartment. She ran down the hall to the elevator. She hadn't changed in so long and she felt her whole entire body start to shift.
"Come on just make it outside Kass. Breathe." She tried to coach herself.
The elevator opened and she hurried inside. There was an incredibly drunk girl in the elevator. The smell of the all the alcohol she had consumed was nauseating and Kassidy could quite literally list every single thing she had had to drink.

"You good?" The girl slurred.
"Oh yeah. You know I didn't choose the party life, the party life chose me." She said with a nervous chuckle.
"What floor?" The girl asked.
"I need the lobby." Kassidy said.
"That's where I'm going too."
"Great." Kassidy said and tried to hold a groan of pain in.

As soon as the elevator opened in the lobby. Kassidy damn near sprinted to get outside.
She was thankful that August lived right next to a wooded area that opened up into a park.
She no sooner made it across the thankfully not so lively highway and into the woods before she started stripping her clothes off. She got to her knees and dug her clawed fingers into the ground howling in pain as the change was taking over completely.

Storybrooke, ME

Lacey, a usually promiscuous bar fly, sat with her friends Ruby Lucas, a waitress at the small town's restaurant called Granny's and Emma Nolan, the Sheriff's daughter. She looked over to the bar, and noticed someone who she had never seen here before. It was a small town, mostly everyone knew each other.
"Look at him." She whispered to Ruby. "Have you ever seen him before?" She asked.
Ruby shook her head. "Not at all." She replied.
"Looks like fresh meat." Lacey smirked.
"Or a one way ticket to the next episode of dateline." Emma sighed.
"Oh, lighten up Emma, just because your Dad is the sheriff doesn't mean you need to rain on my parade." Lacey rolled her eyes. "I'm going to go talk to him." She said and stood up.
"Go get him." Ruby smirked.

Lacey approached the man at the bar and sat down on the stool next to him.
"Where are you from?" She asked.
"Is this town really that small?" The man chuckled.
"Small enough to make your mark." Lacey smirked.
"Good." The man nodded. "Tell me what you know about the Jones family." He said.
"The Jones family? The creeps out in the middle of the woods? They're hot but weird." She shrugged and smiled and placed her hand on the man's thigh. "What do you know about them?" She asked.
"Just what I've been told, that they like to think they can make the rules." The man shrugged.
"What rules?" Lacey asked as she moved her hand up his thigh.
"Doesn't matter. I'm here to break them." The man said and shrugged.

"I was thinking about getting out of here, I can show you around...and then maybe we can go back to my place." Lacey winked as she moved her hand to the front of his pants.
"No." The man said plainly.
"No? Why not?" Lacey asked. The man moved her hand from his pants.
"Because you're a slut." He said.
Lacey scoffed.
"Fuck you." She said and walked away from him back to her table.
"Be Careful out there." The man snickered behind her.
Lacey grabbed her jacket off of the chair.

"Where are you going Lace?" Ruby asked.
"Out of here. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Lacey said and looked back at the man and rolled her eyes before walking out of the bar.
Emma seemed disturbed.
"What's wrong Em?" Ruby asked.
"I don't know I just have a bad feeling." She sighed.
"It's because you haven't had enough to drink. Next round is on me." Ruby grinned and walked to the bar.
Emma looked at the bar, and realized that the stranger Lacey was talking to was no longer there, making the bad feeling in the pit of her stomach all the worse.

Kassidy walked back into August's apartment with coffee, and breakfast. She was hoping he wouldn't be too upset about her being gone for hours.
She heard the shower running and smirked to herself. She set the coffee and the bag of food on the kitchen island.
She walked into the bathroom and watched August's silhouette from behind the shower curtain. She bit her lip and hoisted herself up onto the counter where the sink was.

The shower stopped and the curtain was pulled back. August jumped as he saw Kassidy sitting there.
"You are going to kill me one of these days by sneaking up on me." He said and grabbed a towel wrapping it around his waist.
"Where have you been?" He asked and kissed her.
"Sorry I got a call to come to the studio immediately. One of my Models decided last minute not to be a part of the shoot, and I had to spend all night calling to find a replacement, and then I had to call the other models in to reshoot everything I'd already done with the replacement." Kassidy lied, she hated how good she was at lying her way out of things and she really hated that she was using tactics that she had learned from someone she would rather blind herself than ever see again.

"Did you get what you needed?" August asked as Kassidy pulled him to her by the towel on his waist.
"For now." She smirked as she placed kisses from where the towel was sitting all the way up his chest. "But while I was gone, all I could think about was you."
"Mmm. Really?" August asked.
"Yes. but I mean, I brought coffee and breakfast so..if you'd rather-"
Kassidy squealed as August picked her up from the counter and carried her into the bedroom.
"Breakfast can wait." He grinned and tossed her down onto the bed.

Portland, ME

Killian Jones looked around the room pausing from his lecture for a moment to get a feel for the room, as usual, the young women in his class were watching him with big eyes that if they were in a cartoon, would be popping out of their heads with hearts. They were hanging onto every word he said while the men in the class appeared to be bored. He began to continue his lecture.

"To fully actualize self, we have to acknowledge who we really are." He spoke. "It's what Carl Jung referred to as the animus for males or the anima for females." Killian stepped out from behind his podium as he continued.
"These are the sides of us that we hide beneath what he calls the persona, and in applying these theories to anthropology, specifically the study of human behavior..."

"I however, am not so much interested in what we hide, but why we hide it. What deep desires are we repressing? And if we tore down our personas what sort of beast lies within?" Killian paused, waiting for questions.
"When he coined the terms animus and anima, you don't really think he meant the beasts within us, do you Professor Jones?" One student asked.
"We are animals, all of us. The only difference between humans and anything else is the persona, the mask behind which we hide all desires, everything that scares us about ourselves." Killian replied.

New York

Kassidy sat down on the sofa, in her pack mate, Robin's office. Robin had moved out to New York and became a psychologist. He had a human wife, which the rest of the pack had no idea about.
"So whats on your mind?" Robin asked.
"It almost happened. I almost changed in front of August." Kassidy sighed.
"But you...didn't right?" Robin asked.
"No. But it was like my entire body was rioting against me." Kassidy said and put her head in her hands.

"How long has it been since your last run?" Robin asked.
"A little over a month." Kassidy said.
"Are you insane?!" Robin asked.
"I don't know you're the shrink you tell me." Kassidy groaned.
"Psychologist." Robin corrected her. "And my offer still stands, you can run with me. I miss running in a pack." Robin said.
"Rob, please don't take this the wrong way. I love you, and I'm so glad I have you here in the city, but I don't want to run. Period." Kassidy said. "I don't want to make a social outing of it."

"Okay but you have to get on a schedule, once a week or else this is going to keep happening." Robin said. "You push too hard and then the change just takes over."

The buzzer on the door rang.
"That's my 12 o'clock." Robin said.
"I'll head out, Thanks Rob." Kassidy said
"Anytime Kass."
"At least I know I'm not going to wolf out at August's award thingy tonight." Kassidy sighed in relief. "His Step mother and step sisters are going to be there."
"Then be thankful that the change forced itself when it did." Robin said. "Next time you might not be so lucky. Listen no one is going to judge you if you can't make it out here. You can always go home." Robin said as Kassidy walked to the door.
"This is home." Kassidy said as she left.

Storybrooke

The woods were eerily quiet as a local hunter and his dog were walking through.
His dog stopped suddenly and then took off barking as he began to trail some sort of scent.
"Slow down Rocky!' The hunter shouted as he chased after the dog. "What have you got?" He asked.
"Rocky god damnit stop!" He huffed as he ran on. He almost ran into the dog as it stopped suddenly again.
"What..the hell?" The hunter questioned and then used his rifle to move a few branches.
"Oh.. My God." He muttered as he uncovered a young womens body that was absolutely torn to pieces.

—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What did this to you?" Sheriff David Nolan sighed. He was not looking forward to the talk that he was going to have with his daughter Emma as the body of the young woman was identified as Lacey French, one of Emma's best friends since childhood.
"Looks like an animal attack." David said and stood as he looked at the hunter.
"Rocky found her. He didn't kill her though." The hunter said and pat his dog on the head.
"I wouldn't assume he did. Whatever did this, was wild." David said and looked as a truck pulled up to the scene.
"Well if it isn't Boo Radley.." The hunter mumbled as Liam Jones exited the truck. This entire area was part of the Jones family property.
"Don't start with that." David said as he approached Liam.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Liam asked.
"There's not much anyone can do from here Mr. Jones."
Liam looked at what was left of the young woman.
"What do you think could have caused that?" Liam asked.
"Well, the coroner will rule the cause of death but it definitely looks like an animal kill." David said and asked one of his deputies to get a tarp from his truck to cover Laceys body.

"Micheal here tells me he's heard wolves up your way in the past." David said.
"I don't hunt up here, so I'm not entirely sure of what passes through here but yes we've heard wolves as well." Liam confirmed.
"Well if the coroner rules it a wolf kill, I'm going to want to do a 1 mile sweep of the area that will include your property." David said.
"Of course, anything I can do to help." Liam nodded.

Killian was finishing up his lecture when his cell phone started ringing. He pulled his phone from the back pocket of his black jeans and looked at it.
"I'm going to have to wrap it up for today. No homework assignment tonight, just come back prepared to continue discussing what we've went over today." He said and smiled as he walked out of the classroom
"Liam what's up?" He asked.
"We have a mutt here." Liam said. "A girl was killed."

"I can be there in two hours and then I'll deal with it when I get to Storybrooke." Killian said.
"Come straight here. I'm calling everyone home." Liam said.
"I can handle it." Killian said.
"Killian, I want everyone home first." Liam said firmly.
"Everyone?" Killian asked.
"Just get home." Liam said.
