Maybe waking up was the dream, and reality was bending for Jimin. There was that same tight feeling in their chest they had when they went to Jin's room. There was a cat welcome-mat outside of Yoongi's space, which wasn't in Jimin's dream. They knocked on Yoongi's heavy door. Inside was soundproof, of course, to prevent the spoiling of songs or unwanted interruptions of outside sound.
Jimin waited a moment, thinking to themself that Yoongi was probably busy. However, before Jimin could knock on the door again, it opened- only a quarter so Jimin could barely see Yoongi's face. “Yeah?” The older one asked. “How come you left early this morning? Is everything alright?” Jimin asked, trying to look behind Yoongi. Suddenly, there was a crash inside of the room.
Jimin was sure their dream was true, or coming true.
Yoongi flinched just slightly, and like Jimin's dream, it sounded like wood. “Yeah, I was just working on something. Everything's fine.” He told them. “This is weird, I'm having the opposite of déjà vu.” Jimin chuckled and rubbed their eyes lightly. “Déjà rêvé?” Yoongi asked. “Hm?” Jimin looked back up at the older one. “It's basically what you feel when you think as though you've been in a moment previously but in a dream, or when you're experiencing something so real that you're fearful you're dreaming.” Yoongi explained. It only made little sense in Jimin's mind in that moment. “Um…yeah, I guess. I had a dream about this, you said the exact same thing and something fell in there.” Jimin told him. “Yeah, that's it. I was just trying to get a visual representation of something, that's all. Did you need anything else?” Yoogi asked. Jimin desperately wanted to go inside of the recording studio, to see exactly what was happening.
“Yeah, can I come in?” Jimin asked. “No.” Yoongi was quick to answer. “I mean, uh, it's a big mess at the moment. Maybe let me clean and come back in an hour?” He suggested. “Or we could talk at your studio.” He added on. Jimin was suspicious, and Yoongi knew. “I wanted to talk here. I think I'm just paranoid from that dream.” Jimin told him. Both of them were quiet for a moment. “Fine, yeah, come in…” Yoongi opened his door a little more, and Jimin peeked over Yoongi. He stepped aside, and Jimin entered. They saw what looked like building blocks on the floor. “What are these for, hyung?” They asked. Their eyes then caught on a soft blanket that they haven't seen before, and a coloring book. It reminded Jimin of little space.
“I left early to try and relive some stress. It's for my little space.” Yoongi rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, watching Jimin look around. “I tried to build a castle or something, but, I don't know, really.” He added. Jimin turned around to face him. “You're a little? How long?” They asked. “Since I was in high school. I never said anything because I never really feel comfortable enough to slip, and I don't really need a caregiver, or anything like that. I don't know…” Yoongi seemed tired in the way he talked. Jimin pouted a little. “Do you want help building?” They leaned down and picked up one of the wooden blocks. All of the six sides had letters on it. “No, it's fine. I just don't see a point in hiding it anymore, I guess.” Yoongi then confessed. “We could both be little and have a play date.” Jimin offered with a smile. Yoongi chuckled and Jimin noticed his cheeks growing pink. “It would be fun~” They added. “Maybe another time, ‘min.” Yoongi said. Jimin walked over with a sweet smile and gently hugged the older. “Let me know if there's anything you need, okay? Assuming you could text in little space -” “I'll call, yeah?” Yoongi laughed a little. “Okay.” Jimin gave him a pat on the top of his head, and left, feeling much better now that they knew what was going on. The rest of the day, they checked their phone occasionally, making sure Yoongi was alright. They weren't sure exactly what to expect, nor if Yoongi was still little three hours later.
Even if Jimin still felt uncomfortable, they hoped Yoongi didn't. Of course, Yoongi wouldn't be jumping out of his seat to tell the others if anything changed. That's just how he was, and he was perfect that way.
As Jimin returned to their recording studio, and had just sat down to begin, there were knocks on the thin door. Jimin quickly got up and opened it, finding their manager, Soojun.
“Hey, how are you doing?” He asked first. “I was just about to record. Why?” Jimin said, not particularly wanting to carry a conversation with him at the moment. “Well, I know since you were in the hospital that we haven't exactly gotten to know each other. Officially. Since I'll be stepping in for PD-Nim for a while, I thought maybe we could chat, if you want.” He explained, smiling. Jimin hesitated before speaking again. “I don't want to seem rude, and I'm a little busy at the moment. You're my third manager, and I'm alone, so maybe another time with the others?” Jimin proposed. They weren't sure why their heart began to beat faster. “Of course, that's fine. I understand. I've got to come by tomorrow anyway to talk with Yoongi-ya.” Soojun added on. “What's going on with Yoongi hyung?” Jimin asked. “Nothing big, I just plan on checking in with him, making sure he's doing alright, and that he's attending the scheduled meetings with his therapist, and all.” Soojun explained. Jinin noticed that he was holding a few pieces of paper. “Oh, okay. Yeah, we can talk later.” Jimin nodded. They didn't remember hearing about Yoongi's therapist, but it wasn't unordinary to not know everything about the older one. “Okay, then I'll leave you to it. Take care.”
When Jimin closed the door, they couldn't help but feel wrong. They weren't sure why they were so uncomfortable with being alone with him. They hardly knew him. Normally, Jimin was fine with strangers, on an average level. They sat back down at their desk and stared. It wasn't like Soojun would be so mad he'd barge right in and -
“Damnit.”
Jimin was scared Soojun would try to pull something. It hit them in the middle of a thought. Being nervous around him was because of past experiences, Jimin was old enough to know that. It was some sort of trauma that was preventing them from conversing normally with their male manager.
It didn't help them feel much better, but it did, a little, now that Jimin realized why their heart was racing. Their body knew before their brain did what was happening. It seemed impossible, but it had just happened. Jimin felt they needed to call someone and say what had just happened. But, would that be seeking approval? Jimin didn't need approval for their feelings, they told themself. It felt complicated, and it led Jimin to start crying a bit. Out of confusion, mostly. Their chest tightened, and they had to take deep breaths to keep a normal breathing pattern. Their head felt heavy, so they leaned back in the small office chair, covering their eyes because even as they were closed, they still somehow hurt.
It took a lot of effort to limit Jimin's reaction to crying only, and nothing more. They didn't know how long it lasted, but luckily, the event was not interrupted. They didn't know what they'd do or say if so. Their energy was stolen by the physical reaction, and they fell asleep alone in their recording studio. Jimin didn't want to, but more reality fell, and it was overwhelming. Worrying about Jungkook and Yoongi, Namjoon and Jin, and Hoseok and Taehyung, their parents and their mind continued to fall down until their body gave up and slept. Possibly it rested.
