Two months later, the BTS members were on set for Boy In Luv. Jin, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Taehyung were wearing ripped black jeans. Jungkook and Jimin wanted to match but their manager wasn't allowing it. They were required to wear leather pants instead. Jungkook's had patches of red and black, and Jimin was wearing a checkered jacket around his waist. Their white long-sleeve shirts and black ties were the only matching things. Jungkook and Jimin were also the only ones to wear red converse, while the others wore black converse.
The girl that would appear in the music video, Ko Sohyun would be arriving the next day. Yoongi and Jin were a bit nervous. They were told they would need to push her in to lockers, and Jin really didn't want to but it made sense once the director explained the point.
"I really don't think the leather is my type of style." Jungkook giggled, ruffling his purple-ish hair. "Me neither, it's not very comfortable." Jimin tried not to readjust his pants, but Jungkook was constantly doing so. Especially around his groin but he didn't make it awkward. "I don't really like the blond hair-" "I think it really, suits you." Jin clicked his tongue and pointed at Namjoon. "Oh wow, hyung-ah." Namjoon face-palmed at his dad joke.
It's because Namjoon was wearing a suit.
Jin laughed, his windshield-wiper laugh echoing in the empty parking lot. The night sky was making everyone tired, but they weren't trying to show it. "Really cheesy, hyung." Yoongi giggled. "Yoongi hyungie, let's play basketball." Taehyung challenged Yoongi, smirking as he grabbed the prop basketball. "You don't wanna challenge Yoongi hyung, he's a pro." Hoseok brushed his brown hair back, biting his lip. "Oh I'm sure I can beat him." Taehyung smirked. "Let me, first. If you win, then you can challenge Yoongi hyung." Jungkook ran over and stole the ball from Taehyung. Jimin and Yoongi sat down on the chairs they would be throwing in the next shoot.
The two youngest's started playing a one-on-one match of basketball, Jin pretending to be an announcer. Every move they made, Jin coached and made everyone laugh.
"Hyung, how come you've been wearing jackets the whole shoot? Manager-nim said he didn't want you to wear one in this part." Jimin thought out loud. "We aren't shooting right now, are we?" Yoongi laughed nervously, keeping his eyes on Jungkook and Taehyung. "Right..." Jimin nodded and turned back to the 'basketball match'.
Before they could finish, they were back to shooting for the music video. They were dancing and interacting with props for another two hours until they were done with the outside scenes.
"Yoongi-ya, what is with you and that jacket? I said that isn't in this scene." Their director sighed. The second he announced cut, Yoongi raced for his jacket. "It's cold out tonight." Yoongi slipped it on and shivered. "It is, hyung." Namjoon agreed. "Okay, whatever. Same time tomorrow, we'll be doing the inside shoots with Sohyun so be ready and energized." The director turned to talk with the camera crew.
Jin noticed how Yoongi was very quiet lately. He's a very quiet person, but he seemed extra quiet today. On the drive back to the dorm, Jimin was bouncing his leg and Yoongi was as well. Jungkook was on his phone, texting his classmate or friend about a research project he was working on. Jin and Hoseok were asleep on each other in the back.
"Why are you anxious?" Taehyung asked Jimin, motioning to his leg. Instantly his leg stopped bouncing and he looked at their manager driving the van. Taehyung wondered if it had something to do with him. "It's nothing, I promise." Jimin gave Taehyung a smile. "Are you sure? If something's wrong, you can talk to me. I won't judge or anything, you know that- right?" Taehyung scooted closer and lowered his voice. Jimin closed his eyes and sighed. "I know, yeah...maybe later when we get back to the dorm I can say." He told Taehyung, giving him a weak smile.
Taehyung left it at that, and they were dropped off at the dorm in ten minutes.
Yoongi was the first to go to bed, skipping out on any interactions anyone was trying to make. It was obvious they all had noticed Yoongi's off behavior recently. They all stood in the kitchen and Namjoon realized they were all looking at each other, trying to figure out what to say.
"Yoongi hyung, wait. We need to talk." Namjoon quickly spoke up. Luckily he caught Yoongi just before he closed the door to the bunks. Yoongi hesitated before spinning around and walking back to the group. "About what? I'm really tired, is all." He brushed his hair back, glancing at Jimin. Had he said something to them?
"Listen, hyung-ah...we all, know that you like your personal space and all that. That you like being alone and such- but, recently we've all kinda noticed you being...well, a little distant." Namjoon started off, looking to his other members to say something else. Jin cleared his throat. "You seem easily irritable, and, we're just concerned...is all...we want to make sure you're okay." He looked in to Yoongi's eyes, but it wasn't worth it. Yoongi had his emotional walls high and strong. Eye-contact didn't make a difference for him.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Yoongi shifted his weight to his left side. "Sorry that, uh, I've been kinda mean lately. I'm not...really, good with people. I'll try and do better." He didn't know why he was apologizing, he didn't feel he needed to but the word's just sort of left his mouth. He noticed the glances his members were giving each other- like they didn't believe him.
Yoongi let out a sigh which instantly caught all of their attention. "I, just...I didn't want to say because I- frankly, I don't think it's important. I didn't realize it was effecting you guys, but now I kind of do so I guess I have to say." He looked away and fixed his jeans, obviously trying to procrastinate. "I've started taking anti-depressants and my doctor is changing the prescription every time I go because apparently, they aren't working so I'm really just experimenting with the dosage at this point. I guess they make me, more moody or something- whatever it is that you guys think is wrong, that's it. I'm trying to figure it out so I don't have to be a complete asshole all of the time, it just takes a while and I don't like it..." Yoongi explained, rushing some parts as his voice started to sound different. It sounded more strained- again, like there was more he wanted to say.
"Oh...we didn't know, hyung-" "Of course you didn't, because I never said. I don't really talk about that kind of stuff to a lot of people, but, I guess now that we're offical- I guess, it's important to you guys too, now..." Yoongi cut off Namjoon, ruffling his hair nervously. Jin and Hoseok have already realized it was a nervous habit of his.
"We understand, Yoongi hyung. If there's anything you need, we're here for you, really. Maybe you don't feel okay some days and that's fine too-" "Yeah, thanks." Yoongi looked at Hoseok as he hugged him from the side, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. Taehyung tried not to giggle at Yoongi's awkward smile. "Does this mean I can go to bed now?" He asked with a nervous chuckle, moving Hoseok off of him. "Yeah, good night hyung." Namjoon smiled at him and Yoongi quickly disappeared into the bedroom.
"I had no idea he was taking medicine, I haven't seen any prescribed medication around." Jin mumbled, but the other members heard it clear as day. "He probably keeps them to himself- I mean, you heard him, he doesn't talk about that personal stuff, so why would he have it out in the open, out for questioning? I think we should just stay on the lookout for hyung, you know?" Hoseok leaned on the kitchen island, resting his head in his hands. "Yeah, I think so too. I mean, it...kinda makes sense now..." Jungkook added on, nibbling on his bottom lip.
"We should get some sleep, it's been a long day."
