Few Weeks Earlier

She had locked herself in her room from past two days because she was totally confused. She didn't knew what to say or do at this point because her mind had completely stopped working.

Manik Malhotra kissed her and she followed through.

WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH HER.

Manik had a girlfriend back in Mumbai.

Alia...

...who was also his best friend.

WHAT THE HELL DID THEY BOTH DO.

She shook her head as she slumped on her bed breathing heavily.

Manik isn't someone who will stoop low and end up cheating on someone who meant so much to him.

Then why the hell did he kissed her.

WHY?

She wasn't repulsed or offended neither was she feeling feeling guilty kissing him...and that's exactly what was bothering her.

Because she knew that Manik wasn't playing with her or with her emotions.

He genuinely meant each and every word that he said to her in that moment.

Though it wasn't too long that she knew him but she knew this for a fact that she knew him way more than anyone else could possibly imagine.

He might be a narcissist and egotistical moron but he can never be a cheater or player when it comes to emotions and relationships.

He was a very loyal and dedicated person who was filled with compassion towards everyone who mattered in his life.

And she knew one thing for sure that she was one of those few people for whom Manik feelings and emotions were genuine and absolutely real.

However that doesn't mean she will allow herself to get blown away by some delusional thoughts and circumstances.

Though whatever was happening was for real but she simply couldn't allow her hormones and emotions to take over her mind and end up committing any grave mistake that might destroy everything that she was blessed with.

Yes..she trusts Manik.

She knew he wasn't playing any game with her.

His emotions, feelings and every word that he spoke that day was genuine and real but she can't allow herself to get blown away by that.

As she wasn't sure about the circumstances which had full chances to turn upside down once he goes back to Mumbai...to his friends and Alia.

He was away from them...from Alia as of now. Only Nandini was there with whom who bonded over these past few days. Since he had always been habitual of living a Prince Like Lifestyle of course everything that he was experiencing in Gurukul was completely different and new for him...and that included Nandini as well.

She was someone that Manik had never come across in his entire existence so it was obvious that he was fascinated with her as of now.

But the question is how long will this fascination last once he returns to his Heir Life.

Of course there is a full fledge possibility that he was absolutely serious about her but there existed another possibility as well where he was simply experiencing a phase of infatuation.

What would she do if latter was the case.

She isn't saying that he won't be affected by everything. He might feel sorry for her and everything that happened between them. However he might move on his life accepting this fact...

...unlike her.

She would be the one who will be utterly left heart broken.

And she couldn't risk that.

Yes...she knew she was being selfish.

But what other options was she left with.

And that's why she chose to take some time off and keep distance from Manik as of now.

They both need time as they both have things to think through.

The way things were accelerating between them it would simply lead to utter disaster.

So that's why they need to keep some distance between them until they both find what's actually happening with them.

If it's just a simple case of infatuation this phase will pass very soon and they both will move on with their lives without being miserable heartbroken.

However if this thing actually last and things were serious between them then they will act accordingly.

But as of now time was the only factor that could solve not only just her confusion but also prevent the occurrence of any disastrous situation.

As she was busy in her own thought thinking about various ways by which she could avoid Manik in the future as her excuses were running out that she had been using from past two days she heard a knock at her door.

Before she could answer she saw a note that was slid in through the thin layers of the door.

She quickly got up and picked up the note. Her eyes widened in shock as she read it.

**I am leaving for Mumbai tonight. But I wont leave before meeting you once. I know you are too busy avoiding me but I am not taking "NO" for an answer. Either you meet me at the terrace in next 15 minutes or I will barge into your room myself in the 16th minute itself. Call is yours Ms. Murthy.
