Fate tried to bring me down
By whispering, "you cannot withstand
The storm!"
I whispered back to it, looking it
Dead in the eyes,
I AM THE STORM THAT YOU
FEAR!!

I am that little flicker of fire
That you fear will burn your plans
Up in smoke;      
I am that one warrior you don't
You don't want to be victorious...
But guess what?
I'm ignoring those discouraging
Words that you spoke!

I'm walking on the crashing waves
I'm not being of the flashing
Lightning or roaring thunder!!
Why?
I'll tell you why...
Because I am the storm.

I'm the rushing wind that will blow away
All your hate and pain that you try to
Use to bring us down.

I am the flashing lightning that pierces
The dark and the roaring thunder,
That booms at you loud and proud,
"I will not fear you anymore!!"

Do you hear me fate?!
You may think I cannot withstand it;
But hear me now!
I am the storm!!

Hey everyone, Mega here. I'm so sorry for not posting in a long while. Other stuff kept me from doing so. So I decided to take a more spoken word style of poetry. I've done this before but it was on my dA account. This came to me after helping out cheer up a friend and while I was doing so, I started cheering myself up too. I felt depressed after today (cuz of irl drama and such) but I started feeling better and thus, this poem came to be. I hope you find encouragement and faith and know that fate may try to discourage you...but you must look it in the eyes and tell it, "I am the storm! You will fear me!" Lol XD anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed this poem of hope and encouragement. Vote and comment, that would really mean a lot :) you guys rock!!
