Anyways, here we are.

Here is what I've gather about these lovebirds.

Wash unexpectedly had to move to Maine (The state) due to a rats condition in his house. Little did he know, he would actually have to live with someone actually named Maine. Wash was forced to go nowhere else because York refused to take him in.

Maine was pissed about Wash's sudden arrival but York didn't care all he knew was that Wash couldn't crash at his place for some very peculiar reasons. 

Wash walked in with his bags only for Maine to grab it but Wash never saw those bags again. There was another thing Maine hated about Wash, he was so talkative and he SNORED LIKE A PIG.

Now you may be wondering why did this apply to Maine? Because Wash had to sleep in his bed. There was nowhere else to sleep, the couch was taken by Maine's german shepherd known as Kingston. 

Though Maine took the chance to observe Wash's features before he went to sleep. In the morning, Wash would talk a lot but Maine grumbled angrily and grouchily hoping it would scare Wash off. 

Although it only attracted the smaller man.

Then came the day, they were extracted to be part of Project Freelancer. Maine thought he'd be happy with his own bed but he was lonely so every night the two men would join each other in one another's beds and snuggle.

During one mission, Maine lost his voice due to a wound. Wash was devoted to helping Maine and learned how to speak 'growl'. 

But everything changed with Sigma..... The A.I required majority of Maine's time, no more late night snuggles, no more long nights with joking and kissing. Sigma taken Maine away, until the muscular freelancer came to Wash.

Reminding him of his promise "You'd say you would help me no matter what. Well now prove it." Maine had growled convincing Wash to join Sigma and Maine in their quest. 

Everything followed original storyline expect with Wash on the Meta's side until the point where Tex dies. 

Wash was knocked off the cliff by Maine accidently pushing him off. Despite Sigma's command, the Meta jumped off following Wash's fate.
