Twenty-nine
Olivia's POV:
It was the next day and let's just say my mom bombarded me with a million questions as she drove us to the school for the lacrosse game tonight.
I avoided her all day since I wasn't really prepared for the conversation by riding my bike but she insisted to talk to me.
Thanks to Scott and Derek, they wolfed out in front of our parents to fight Jackson so I had to explain everything to her. The one thing I wanted to avoid ever since the beginning.
However, I kept two things a secret. The weird things such as not having the scars from getting hurt all the time and what's been happening between Allison and I.
Also since I had no idea what's been happening between us.
"So you haven't talked to any of your friends all day?" She asks but I shake my head.
"Ever since last night, it's like we all split up and lost hope," I say with a scoff. "Gerard controls Jackson now."
"How?"
"During school, I got a nice visit from him and his new pet." I sarcastically say and her eyes widen.
FLASHBACK
Ever since the night at the police station, I've been trying non-stop to get ahold of Allison.
She's been skipping her classes so the only way I could try to get ahold of her was through her phone. She obviously had seen my messages since she forgot to turn off her 'read' option.
I knew her father would check her phone, but I didn't care. I just wanted to talk and convince her that killing someone wasn't right, depending on what the person did.
I push open the school bathroom door and continued sending more texts.

SEEN
"Olivia Flores," I snap my head up to look at the mirror, seeing Gerard leaning against the wall behind me with his arms crossed. "nice to see you again."
I furrow my eyebrows. "I don't know if you know, but you do realize this is a girls bathroom...right?" I gesture our surroundings. "And clearly, there aren't any urinals."
"You're right," He chuckles lightly. "but I needed to speak to you in private."
"You couldn't just speak to me in your office like a normal human being?" I retort.
"Not for what I'm about to do."
Instantly I feel something scaly wrap around my neck, harshly pulling me up from the floor which causes me to drop my phone.
I shakily look up to see Jackson in his kanima form, holding me up with his tail and his claws dug into the ceiling to hold himself up.
Oh my god, Gerard has control over Jackson.
It hisses as I tried to peel its tail away, but Gerard walks closer to us with a smirk on his face.
"As you can see Olivia, there's been some interesting developments lately, which is why I wanted to catch up with you."
I glare. "What the hell do you want with me? You know, I can just shout for help and Scott would get here in a heartbeat."
"Come on, Olivia, let's be realistic about who's got the upper hand here." He says as he grabs my unlocked phone off the ground.
He scrolls through my phone and shows me the screen where I had the list of contacts. "I can have Jackson hurt whoever I want." He stops at my mom's contact name. "Maybe her," He scrolls at the next contact to show Allison.
"Please don't." I gulp. "Don't go after her and hurt her."
"Can't do that, but let her live? That's up to you." He shuts off the phone and places it on the sink.
"What do you want?"
He shrugs. "I want the same thing I have always wanted. I want Derek and his pack."
"How am I supposed to know where they are? For god's sake, I don't even talk to them!"
"Someone told me that Derek asked you to be a part of his pack." He points out which causes my eyes to widen. Allison. "I think with a simple arranged meet up it can happen. Especially since you have the proper motivation, you could draw them out. And if you hadn't noticed, I now have a fairly impressive means by which I can motivate people." He glances at Jackson who hisses again. "Why do you think I'm able to control him?"
"Because you're a psychopath," I mutter but instantly the kanima squeezes his tail tighter, causing me to let out a gasp as I feel my lungs start to tighten.
"The kanima is a weapon of vengeance. I didn't just come here to bury my daughter Kate, I came to avenge her." He drops me to the tiled floor and walks passed me as I tried to catch my breath.
Well, that's just great.
END
"Is that why you're wearing my scarf?" She gestures to the fabric around my neck.
I nod. "Didn't want people to stare."
She parks the car in the parking lot and turns off her ignition. We step out of the car and grab our blankets since it was kind of cold.
We walk over to the bleachers and luckily there were spots next to Stilinski and Melissa.
I see Scott and Stiles discussing to themselves on the bench, which causes me to furrow my eyebrows. Why isn't Scott on the field?
"I'm gonna talk to them, I'll be back," I say and she nods, walking over to where the parents sat.
I sit beside Stiles and nudge his side. "Hey, guys." I greet as they nod their heads, mumbling a small 'hey'.
"Is Allison here?" Scott asks but I shake my head and show my phone.
"She hasn't been answering my texts."
"Lydia?" Stiles adds but I shake my head again.
"Not since the party," I say and Stiles frowns. "Should I expect something to happen tonight?"
"I would be surprised if you didn't," Stiles responds and I nod slowly. He turns to Scott. "It's gonna be bad, isn't it? I mean, the people screaming, running for their lives, blood killing maiming, kind of bad?"
I glare at Stiles. "I think he gets it."
"It looks like it is." Scott exhales, not even phased at what he said.
"You know," Stiles speaks up again. "the other night seeing my dad get hit over the head by Matt while I'm just lying there and I can't even move, it just...I want to help, you know?" Stiles says and Scott turns to him. "But I can't do the things you can do. I can't." His voice starts to shake and I lean my head against his arm, rubbing circles around his back
"It's okay," Scott assures, patting his back a couple of times.
"Stiles, you don't need a power to become useful," I say and Scott nods in agreement. "You're already a great person by just being yourself."
He shakes his head. "We're losing, guys."
"What the hell are you talking about? The game hasn't even started." We all jump and turn around, seeing Coach Finstock with an annoyed expression. He nudges Stiles. "Put on your helmet and get out there, you're in for Greenberg."
"What? What happened to Greenberg?" Stiles asks, looking around the field with confusion.
"What happened to Greenberg?" Coach scoffs, repeating his question. "He sucks and you suck...slightly less."
"I-I'm playing...on the field? With the team?" Stiles excitedly asks, making Scott and I smile at his reaction.
"Yeah, unless you'd rather...play with yourself?" He asks and I scrunch my nose in disgust.
"I already did that today. Twice." Stiles says seriously and I roll my eyes. Oh god.
"Get the hell out there!" Coach yells and Stiles scrambles to his feet and grabs his helmet and his lacrosse stick. He sprints to the field by our goalie and slides on his helmet.
"My son is on the field!" I hear Sheriff Stilinski cheer, causing all of us to turn with amused looks. He awkwardly sinks to his spot but sees my mom and Melissa holding back their laughs."
Scott looks around the crowd and I nudge his side with a confused expression. "What's wrong?"
"Gerard's talking to me." He says and glares across the field. "He's planning on doing something during the game."
"Like what?" I urge him to continue.
He waits for a few moments and his eyes widen. "If we don't bring Derek at the end of the game, he's gonna have Jackson kill someone. He's threatening everyone we know." He growls and I feel the bench sink slightly at him making a dent mark with his hands.
I look back at my mom.
She had barely just let go of Lydia's embrace as she sat down beside her. I turn to face Scott worriedly.
"Scott, you already crossed the line by getting my mom involved in this shit so help me god, please don't let her get hurt." I plead.
"But we can't get Derek killed!" He whispers. I turn to the field just in time to see Stiles get tackled by two of the opposite team players.
"Does Stiles know how to play?" I ask, seeing him stand up from his spot and stretch his legs.
"Kind of?"

After seeing several attempts of Stiles either trying to catch the ball and missing horribly or getting tackled at different times, I cover my face with my hands with shame.
"We're definitely going to lose," I mutter.
Scott tries to stand but Coach pushes him back down. "Sit down, McCall."
"Coach, we're dying out there!" Scott groans, hearing the boo's from the crowd.
"Oh, I'm aware of that. Now sit." He smacks Scott's shoulder before walking away.
As if on cue, someone plops next to us and I recognized it to be Isaac. He was fixing the laces on his lacrosse stick and looked up with a smile.
"What are you doing here, I thought you left with Erica and Boyd?" Scott asks.
I smile, feeling a small sense of relief in my heart that he was here. Never thought I'd ever think that. "You came to help?"
Isaac smirks. "I came to win."
